@simgirl1010 ah, I was confused because you just tell me and not them π
does the second sentence mean you uncheck and check and then you see more posts?
@Lenny_Ogg if I click on your profile I can then check your discussions and comments. To make sure I haven't missed any of your awesome lot creations or beautiful scenery pics.. π
I previously played Sims 4 on another device and dont remember logging into it with a password. Is it possible to continue where I left off with my same Sims on another device? Help!
Hi @Musicmeg0222 you can try help.ea.com for the account issue - it probably has a "forgot your password" thing.
Your same sims are saved on the device you played them on.
To continue where you left off, you'd need to grab the save file. It would be located on your old device under the folder Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves
And look for the file that has the right date.
You could also just transfer the household to your new device via the gallery-- upload them from the old device to the gallery, download them from the gallery to the new device. You can do the same with their home. But that just transfers the household and/or lot itself, not any building you did in the rest of the world, their relationships with sims outside the household, etc.
PS If your old device happened to have a function like icloud or onedrive turned on, your save file may be stored on there somewhere.
Ièm new to sims forums and I wanted to post a question. Ièm doing an RKC. I know sims hard core but iève learned loads. Anyway question How do you start a home business. I donèt see it in the inventory

Hello! Sims can work from home in various jobs by joining the Freelancer Career from their phone or computer. In addition, some packs have work at home options, such as Nifty Knitting and Eco Lifestyle. You canβt really run a live in business without a mod, though.
Im currently playing with a sim thats live in an apartment. Is it possible to have the game add new neighbors and stuff? Or like fill every empty slot?
For the apartments, you can either let the game do it for you, or you can do it yourself.
Go to Manage Worlds and open up your Household Manager. From here you can tweak the settings of Neighborhood Stories to allow other households to move into empty lots as randomized by the game. (It will happen bit by bit, not all at once.) Or instead you can grab other households yourself and move them into lots.
About the fires, you can try leveling up your cooking skill, getting a better stove, cooking while in a better mood.
Also check that you don't have the Cursed lot challenge enabled. Many apartments come with their own lot traits/challenges built in.
Another way to get new neighbors is to use mods if you are playing on a PC. MC Command Center more exactly. A pretty big and at times daunting mod that has something for everyone. Check it out if you curious! :-D

Hi.I'm new to the forum but not the game so I wasn't sure where to post this. I wanted to play the game after a long while of not playing but I had to update it. The download was taking a really long time, so I checked on it and noticed the update size was 11 GB! I haven't played for maybe 2 or 3 months, so it was weird to me the file size was that big. Anyway, my problem is that I don't have very much space left on my laptop (it's still about 100 GB, but I need a lot of space for personal projects). I'm not sure if I should just uninstall the game, since I can't really download such a beefy update, or if I should just suck it up and carry on. I don't really play the game that often, so such a huge file would be just a waste of space, but I know if I'll ever want to replay the game re-installing will be even worse. :/
This thread is so amazing and I love it so much. I have been playing since it came out and Im still learning new things..
One thing that really gets on my nerves... is the randomly generated townies!! EAs townies may not be super pretty in your opinion, but atleast they dont look crazy and possibly have things wrong with them if you use cc. What I do when I start up a new game is of course make my family. If you have a lot of saved households from previous playthroughs, throw them in and replace some townies instead to make it more fun! You can also download a mod by 'SimplyAnjuta' called 'No makeup and accessories on randomized sims'. I noticed a HUGE difference after using this! So if you dont mind adding a mod to your game, or arent on mobile or console, I totally recommend that mod!!
@ThE_lil_hellscape Sims 4 eats a lot of hard disk space and the updates are mandatory to play.
So if you want to play, you have no choice, sadly.
What you could do if you decide to play is, to put some of your data on an external hard drive.
(that's what I do)

> and why do my sims character start a fire 8/10 time it cooks food? I dont have fear of fire trait.
Because when they start learning to cook, it often appears to end up in a fire.. this will get less when the level up
