For those who play with Seasons set to four weeks, what do you like about it, and what don't you like about it?
Please be as specific as you can. I would really like to know what are the benefits of this setting and also, just what are the drawbacks?
I ask because I've played on one-week, and now two-weeks, but never four-weeks. Before I launch a game into this, I thought I might ask those who have or are playing it this way.
Please, and thank you, in advance!

drawbacks could be the length of how long each season is. if you were to stay in one singular household i could see that getting pretty dull.
Thank you for responding. I went ahead and started a brand new save with a family I favor. Eventually, it will split into other families, but I tend to play my singer Sim. When his younger sister finally marries, I'll have him move in with her so I can tend to both of them. I was a tad vexed that when I switched from 2-week seasons to 4, the holidays provided in the game were all bunched together and totally in the wrong season! In deleting them, I found while I could create a holiday that would be basically the same thing, we don't get the icon to see at a glance what holiday it is. Face/palm.
So far, since I'm in the main family household, things are going well. I'm slowly adding venues, and other families as I go along. My young singer is a Rising Star, has a record label and a level 3 Professional Singing Skill. That all happened today.
Again, thank you for your input.

Cool. I use the MCCC mod, so right now the teens (four of them) have the summer off. I didn't have the Child quit school. In my head he's attending Summer School. Has to raise that C grade, after all.

You can choose the holiday icon, you know.
I do play on Long, which I suppose is why the 1-week per season and even the 2-week seem way too short. I shall try to keep a watch on those who approach my Sims' front porch. I've got a Rising Star in the household, which does mean Paparazzi. I've already experienced the death of a Stan in a previous save. That was horrendous enough. Thanks for the heads-up.

2. I make a LOT of custom holidays, which would make them happen way too often if the seasons were shorter. This way I have more days to squeeze in holidays without feeling like every day is a holiday.
3. It allows me time to rotate to other families if I want to, to celebrate certain holidays. For example, my Christmas break can last a week. I'll play family A for 2 days, family B for 2 days, etc. before the arrival of Christmas Day.
There's no downsides that I can think of.

No, I didn't know that. Where?
Is that on MTS? Or a twitter feed?

One thing I do not like for seasons calendar is, birthdays do not fall on the day, in the season of birth.
If my child is born on the 2nd of Autumn in a 2 week cycle on normal lifespan for example, their birthday is not the 2nd of autumn next year on the calendar, it is 13 days later, on 3rd of Winter.
@GalacticGal - Littlemssam is a sims blog on tumblr -- her blog address is littlemssam.tumblr.com. The tumblr blog theme/layout is pretty well organized, including a page with a spreadsheet sortable by most recently updates & alphabetically, so it's really easy find a specific mod quickly & (no pun intended) simply.

I need to purchase one of those for my Sims again. Had one once, but never got to use it. That game save is long gone …
