Okay, for a bit I was confused. Then on looking at it more closely, this new version is 2022.1. I will shut down my game and update. Thank you, @Bonxie.
MCCC 2022.1.1 is a small hotfix to 2022.1.0 dealing with the new romance move-in feature. I missed adding a limit to prevent ghosts from being valid to move-in so we were seeing that happen in some games. If you are going to use the new feature, I'd recommend getting the hotfix version!
Does "self command" exist in the newer version? I cannot seem to find that option. Also Does MC WooHoo work with the newest version of MCCC?
"Self Command" also exists in the latest MCCC version 2022.1.1. It is only available on inactive sims. The option is not available on the sim you're currently playing. It's located in the sim's MCCC menu in the root level (Sim:MCCC > Self Command).
MC Woohoo and MC Command Center have to have matching versions or things will most likely not work right. So make sure to run always the latest version of both packages.

Try these settings from an in game computer's MCCC menu: Computer:MCCC > MCCC Settings > Notification / Console / Menu Settings > Notification Settings
For birth notification see: Computer:MCCC Settings > Notification/Console/Menu Settings > Notification Settings > MC Pregnancy Notifications > Show Birth Notifications
Choose a option which fits your playing style. I would suggest to start with the option "Played Only".

The original ghosts were culled from the game so I re-created them in CAS as 'household members' and later used add relationship with MCCC to make the connection. All this did was replace the original parents with no major damage to the family tree.

No, you're fine. Mods don't affect actual game files, only the save data in which a mod was used. And in this case, it'll only affect those particular sims and their relationships resulting from any future interactions, pretty much as if they had been in your save from the beginning.

@Brd709, did you try traveling to another lot location after doing it but before checking it? I've not used that particular function in MCCC, but there are a few other ones related to relationship bits where they do not update and display correctly until you have your sim travel.

there seems to be no issues with the current MCCC Version 2022.1.2
There have been no errors reported so far after that EA update.
Everything seems to work as expected.
