Not a single word about the feature which made The Sims 3 one of the best selling games not only in it's own series/franchise but also in the whole videogame industry. I mean the article is fantastic - no doubt - but this is very irritating. No word about turning an open town-simulation game into a single sim "everywhere you go there is a loading-screen"-mess. I really don't know why... . It's even more irritating if you take into consideration that this is the MAIN reason why The Sims 4 got an average rating at best (and not because of the lack of toddlers or other smaller things from the list, alone today I posted 2 links to video game magazines which stated this). Toddlers are missing, yes, but they can be easily patched in. An open world (or at least open neighborhoods) won't return because (and this is the scandal:) this engine is super outdated. I can't understand why you did not mention this but hey...

This is simply not true. Toddlers have never been a "big" feature. Not even close. I know They are important to many people but they are just a "small" part in a life sim game. That's all. Sorry for this criticism but it really bothers me.

Edit: I knew many people would disagree with me for pointing this out How rude...

I did my best the issue being I had a small amount of time on a deadline and a lot to cram in with a tight word limit. I'm pretty sure anyone in the know would realise the technological advances I refer to included open world (which by the way I grieve myself too!)

I read it last night. It's a great article and I really think you captured the way a lot of us are feeling. I know that I felt like you were taking the words right out of my mouth. So glad Metro ran it.

Whoa. They REALLY laid into the game. I guess they weren't too happy with the Franklin interview either.

I agree with this completely. It's not an awful game but they do need to listen to their players, they are the ones who give them the $$$.
