Done here! I only had a look at the start of the month... have been somewhat MIA and to boost had no good inspiration until today. But woot woot, I was able to squeeze some quality me time in and to finish it straight away. It is after all a given set of shots to work with. I havent been looking at other entries yet, though I am very, very curious to start reading. Have seen some passing in Reader already and could hardly resist.
Anyway, without further adieu I present to you... ~insert dramatic music~
Ya @Twiggy , my lack of resistance-power lit a fire under my bum to get my done pretty fast this month, since I also wait to read any entries until mine is in for the month and this month my fingers were itching every time one came through my Wordpress Reader, hahaha!
How do people come up with their story titles? Just first thing that comes into their heads or do they agonise over it? Do you try and make it all deep and meaningful and a little cryptic or just tell it like it is?
Just wondering, I usually come up with my title after my first draft. I have found that the title comes to me and that sort of helps me focus the story better allowing me to edit down to something more succinct. If that makes sense at all! LOL

True, but useless answer: It depends. Sometimes it just comes, often I don't give it a second thought, other times I agonize. I do agree often the title helps shape the story especially when I need to cut it down.
Check out Raerei's Fortress for Builds, Short Stories, and maybe some longer stuff.

The same is pretty much true for me, but also every once in a while I'll get the idea for a title of a story (or chapter) that is the entire inspiration for that story/chapter. That's very rare. And actually I can only think of two examples of that happening.
Hope you all have a wonderful day. It's the prettiest day we've had in a while here today. And I'm spending the day with family. One year ago today was my grandmother's accident. Trying to think positive thoughts. Going to pick some wildflowers for her and to leave at the courthouse where it happened.
If anyone wants to read my tribute I wrote for her last year it's on my blog. The Prettiest Flower.
Anyway I won't be online for the rest of the day (not that that's uncommon these days, but I am trying to start being more active on the forums again) and I wanted to let yall know why.

*hugs* Carewren. The anniversaries are tough. We'll remember you and Linda, and we'll carry her with us into the future. Lots of love to you and your family. The world stopped that day, and as we continue, we'll bring your grandma with us, to honor her always.
Thanks Cathy. It was actually a really good day with the family. Some tears were shed, but mostly we just enjoyed each others company. Joked about old times and such. Which is exactly what she would have wanted.

Do any of y'all do the Wattpad thing? You're all amazing writers so I was just curious because I spend a lot of time on Wattpad when I find good stories.
Also, I can't believe April is already almost over. This is ridiculous ^^;
I finally had the time to get mine done! Trust, Love, and Wishes@Carewren123
I have an interesting story about how I came up with the idea for this story, but I'll save that for later

I just realized that my reply to this (I wrote a couple of days ago) didn't actually post.
Anyway, @Pegasus143 please do share the story. I'd love to hear it and I'm sure everyone else would too.
Okay, I'll share the story. Not long into the month I knew/decided that I was going to be using that set of screenshots. One night I had a dream where I was writing the story for this month. The thing that I remembered about the story that I wrote in my dream was that the girl was the daughter of the guy, so in my planning for the story I kept that in mind. Later I realized that the girl looked like she could be an older version of Natalie from my November short story, Long Ways from Home, and decided to make that character her. The rest was mostly inspired by the music that I was listening to while I was writing it.
@Pegasus143 That's awesome that you had a dream about the story. I love it when that happens. Sometimes my dreams can be very motivational and inspirational.
