Cheating death Glitch?

question have anyone had one of their sims die while visiting another sim or on other lot only to return back to home lot only to see them alive like nothing happened? I had this happen while visiting the goths, their house caught on fire, one of the goths died while one of my sims that was visiting them died as well in the house fire while trying to kill the flames of doom! Once he died, I was sent back to the home lot and there he was, alive and it was as if nothing happened such as the visit and the deaths. The Goths were revived as well it was as if the game reloaded the activity before I left the home lot; which I find to be a big bummer, I hope this was a glitch and if so, please fix it, I like to have crazy things happen in my sim world that applies death in it, it keeps the world alive in my game.
