    Just Noticed In My Sims 4 Folder...

    What's up with the Onlinethumbnailcache Folder in the Documents/Electronics Arts/The Sims 4?

    I can't really make out the thumbnails, is this advertising for new content?
    Nothing to see. I don't even care about the forums.

      Looks like the makings of an online store to me. Hmm interesting find.

      Edit to add:

      Whats more interesting is that I don't have it and Im all patched up.

      I dont have that. I have origin turned off in game, not to update. Never mind if you figured out where it came form

      I just cleaned my folder of cache files and noticed it. I have to go online to access my lots and sims with CC and that is when they catch me. LOL
      Nothing to see. I don't even care about the forums.

      it is all outdoor retreat stuff, I do not have OR and I do not have that folder in my TS4 files.

      Wow, that user have lots more thumbnails. Advertising Outdoor Retreat in the game, something like they did with Sims 3 Store items?

      Hmm..It is OR stuff, I can see them better from that link. I have OR and I do not have that folder. Weird.

      I just checked and I don't have that file. And like someone else said, those look like items from OR.

      I have this folder before, when I deleted I was scared that it will messed up my game. Thank god it didn't.

      I don't own OR either, strange I got the folder. In Sims 3, I had to make the folder read only so it don't get bloated with images. Wonder if I have to try this again, waiting to find out more information.

      Actually, it would make sense if non-owners of OR got that folder if they're doing in game advertising.

      You can delete those if you want. I had thumbnails of lots like that and I deleted them with no problems.

      I know you can delete it, but to test that, move the folder to your desktop and then open the game, if all is well then you know for sure you can delete it.

      I have OR and I just checked. I do not have that file.
      Edited to Add: I counted only ten folders in my game. You have eleven. Strange. I am fully patched, to date, too.

      I do have OR. I don't have that folder. I did have Origin on in-game when I last played, which was a couple of days ago. I have refreshed the whole folder since I installed OR, so if it was there before that, it wouldn't be now.

      I would've been happy if the things were interesting enough to happy about, one those things is a guitar blah lol the other looks like bin wroth something in it while another one looks like microscope or some kind of coffee thing blah lol.

      Be prepared yall with your credit cards the sims 4 could possibly have a Sim store creeping on us ugh lol

      That is not what that is, delete them, turn origin off in game and they will not come back.

      I don't have that file but I never play online or go to the gallery anymore. I allow Origin to install it's patches when it won't let me play or even look at my games unless I do, but that's it. The rest of the time any game in Origin is offline and disconnected from my broadband when I do play any of their games.

      To me it's just another folder to get cleaned out after game play, anytime I play.
