I finally gave up on Sims 4. I installed The Sims 3 and Seasons. We'll see how my pawn shop computer handles it. I moved Christine Chapel into Sunset Valley. Let's see how well she does without Mr. Spock.

I never start TS3 through Origin or the Launcher. Haven't messed with TS4 lately and play TS2 as a standalone. From my understanding, there is an issue with Origin for all Origin games.

I heard it was asking if you want your game repaired so don't say yes to that for Sims3. You will apparently have to reinstall it as the repair breaks the game. Cute, huh? Just another black mark on origin checklist in my book.
I got my pics organized yesterday to get ready to post of my new family and hubby goes into Afib and transfers to heart ICU. Needless to say, maybe later today as I will need more distraction. He is better this am, back in normal rhythm and they are already talking about moving him out so that is a good thing....I hope. Being a nurse really isn't helpful when it is your own family member. I tend to second guess them and I need to stop that.

She´s expecting once again, so time to go to hospital.

Sadly the way you feel is not even uncommon. There are a lot of players on the forums feeling that way since the release of TS4 and the way it evolved since. There´s so much missing and/or gone in the wrong direction.

GC: So what are your medium and short term priorities for The Sims 4 at the moment? I was trying to check last night, and you still don’t have toddlers?
RF: No.
GC: Is that something that’s going to come later, in maybe the next expansion? Since that is one of the main things fans are still asking for.
RF: You know, our fans ask for a lot of things! [laughs] And here’s the thing, we look at a lot of different factors. We look absolutely at things that are being said in public forums. We also have groups of fans coming in, but we
also have telemetry to tell us what people are actually playing with and using.
GC: It almost reminds me of a Kickstarter project, where you have all these ideas and demands coming in and you have to push back against some of them.
RF: I think it gets factored in. I would say it’s less of a push back and more of a,’How are we taking that into account and weighing it against all the other influences?’
GC: So you’re satisfied that not having toddlers was the right choice?
RF: That’s the decision that we made based on all of the information that we had at the time. So absolutely, I feel like it’s the best decision for the game to date. I’m not talking about future stuff. But I do think it’s important to know, that players play in very different ways. We see all kinds of different play styles and family players are very passionate, so are players that play other ways.
And I want to make sure that all of those voices are considered when people are thinking about whether or not we’ve included the right things. Because we do, we take it very seriously about whether or not we’re approaching all of those different play styles. We take it just as seriously as the players do that are asking for the things that they want.
GC: I guess you’re not going to answer the question of how many more expansions there are to come?
RF: You know what, all I have to say is that The Sims 3 lasted for five years of content and still has lots and lots of fans. We have been improving and growing and building on The Sims 4 month after month after launch, and we will continue to do that until it doesn’t make sense.
Yes Rachel, but our play style is woefully inadequate. But you still keep pushing the other players content and won't even address us. An absolute disgrace.
That woman is so infuriating! No open world because she didnt connect with the sims... well what about the fans that did. No realism because she thinks its creepy.... well some fanshappen to like the look of 2 and 3. And no toddlers because of telementry..... dont even get me started, i have to many swears in response to that statement

I now know that Sims 4 will never be for my play style. I wish I hadn't bought the stuff for the game that I did, but at least I know not to buy any more.
All I can say is, really, the confirmation bias is strong with that one.

Those are great pictures and yeah it has been awhile. There are MySims wall pictures? How did I miss those?
I did read something the other day I thought was cute. Those children pictures were actually drawn by some of the Sims team's children. I do think that is sweet they did that.

Oh also, I've been playing Sims 2 a lot and thought how 1) adorable it is for mom to hand baby two daughter on her own, and 2) how the baby has green eyes like mom.
In both S3 & S4 the eye color remains the same

So their decisions are based solely on telemetry again? Did they learn anything from the Sims 3 with that? Honestly if they hadn't worried so much about telemetry figures and actually on how Simmers really do play their game and why, the Sims 4 wouldn't be as disliked as it is now. Not saying there aren't people that like the game, but it is a very small niche of the market that the Sims 4 is catering to.

I've not really been motivated, TS4 has just kind of made me feel egh about the whole franchise now, sadly. It's hard to explain.
