But it still could be any number of the following:

    • Glass blowing
    • Perfume making
    • Jewelry crafting
    • Metal smelting
    • incredibly awesome (OK, maybe I threw this one in there.)

 Or all of the above? :?: Greedy little thing, I am.
All of this listed on page 94; just 4 or so after Sim Guru Copeland's pic was released.

:D Looks like I got real close; but close enough for me. Can't wait to see it all in game and also to see it on sale day to see what is all included.

Did we forget to mention metal smelting in the blog? I guess that does make it "all of the above". :-)

woo hoo ! Can't wait to play with this ! if only we had an idea when it'd be released...
    (hint hint lol)

Feb 6th (Note the title of the blog thread.)
right sorry about that just saw it on the heading in the blog :)

Yeah just saw it on the blog, trying to think if the guys have that hairstyle already or not...
I know one of my male Sims has a hairstyle similar because he does martial arts.
I'll check & let you know.

Well I hope they show it soon and speaking of that I wonder when the venue info page will go up. Don't they go up a few days before the venue releases?

I hope so too, because I'm curious to see how a rainbow gem necklace would look like around my sim's wife's little neck. :D

 This is all kinds of fabulous!
Woot! All my dolls are artistic!

    Little Mouse..
"I do try to let them know how much I love the stuff they produce. I think they might have noticed. ^.^

I worry that I SQUEEEEEEE!!!! and *happy dance* too much, that they it starts to seem not-genuine. But honestly the content has been so great lately! I keep thinking, 'surely they'll make something I feel MEH about soon' and then they keep releasing all this amazing content! I wasn't even sure about Roaring Heights in the very beginning, because it wasn't a theme I would have particularly requested... but it's awesome! They did such a beautiful job with it!!! The clothes, the hair, the build items, the rabbitholes!!! The floor tiles. The coaster, THE CAR!!! The sky/sea colours... it's all just stunning!"

I'm pretty sure everyone knows that you are sincere. I know that I love your threads as they make the excitement and sharing so much fun.
I seldom need to comment, because you all 'say it all'.

Love the Bowie gif! I have NOT misplaced my copy of Labyrinth and it still gets a lot of love from me. I think it is a work of art.

I can't wait to see the size of the lot the venue needs.
I seldom use the whole venue now that the World Editor is broken and trashes the game,
but I really want to use the full venue in this case, same as the Coaster venue.

Technically, we can of course replace the Science Lab in Sunset Valley with the tiny one from Midnight Hollow, but then the townies that work in the old one would be unemployed!
Unless of course there is some way to fix that and I'm too ignorant to know how?

    I'm getting ahead of myself!
    Just bring it on!!!

THANK YOU MR COPELAND AND THE STORE TEAM :!:

I'm so embarrassed lol oh well.
Anyway I went into CAS & found this one; can't tell if its the same one though.
    From the back: 14smm14.jpg
    From the side: z752c.jpg
And I looked in the store & didn't see it so it may be new.
I also noticed the ponytail in the blog has a frayed end to it kind of like the one in CAS but it looks a little longer so I'm not really for sure if its new.

One thing that my Fine Arts Professor taught me in collage was. That even in the world of art, things can appear to be longer or shorter. Depending on the angle, and distance in which it is being viewed from. But the pony-tail in the top pic does appear to be longer than the pony-tail in the bottom pics. :D

None of the necklaces pictured feature the gems we can cut, thus I am doubtful that we will be able to use them... This being said I am simply thrilled that we can create our own jewellery :)

I have some questions to the gurus.

Can the prefume be purchased in cas or buydebug?

Can we use the metals and gems in the game?

    How big is the lot?

Can we sell these crafts at the savy seller and consignment shop?

I wouldn't mind it either if we could at least recolour parts of the jewelry in CAS. The designs are quite interesting and versatile, but customizable colours would be the delicious cherry on a perfect ice-cream :)

Oh, and one more question (I'm sorry if I'm repeating someone else's inquiry): Does anyone know if the glass items are completely new items (with the exception of the window, which is definitively a novelty) or are they simply old designs but made of glass?

And will glassblowing and/or jewelry making be a skill?

I think they both fall under the new Artisan skill (I <3 new skills!).

I'm curious about the glass objects too. I spotted the Venus-like statue and chess table which are existing styles in game, except made out of glass. I'm wondering if this works like the sculpting station and we can make a range of pre-existing objects, only in a new different texture. Or if these are new objects entirely. :?:

New skill? Yes!!! I was a little disappointed with the lack of a skill system attached to the toy-making station, which is also why I decided to skip on buying that venue.

As for the glass objects, the blog post made it seem like there were some completely new items available with the glassblowing station however I'm not sure of the number.

I really want to use the full venue in this case, same as the Coaster venue.

I'm struggling to fit the coaster into my world because it needs so much space. I was hoping to put it on my pier but it just doesn't fit. I already have it in RH and MH but I'm obsessed with stuffing everything into my own world. I'll get it in eventually, but I need to place the lot in CAW.

I'm eying up the size of this new venue, I'm guessing 40x40 which will be too big for my world, I don't have an empty lot that size in my arty area. But I have a 40x30 so fingers crossed! I'm not to fussy if it doesn't fit though, because I have PLENTY of empty shops and workspaces and arty lots to place the individual bits and bobs!

There's an area in my village that has a church, graveyard and vicarage and across the road there is a shopping lot that has wedding themed shops. A dressmakers, flower shop, and a wedding-themed furniture shop. I tried to make a little ice-sculpture shop but it didn't work out. So, I'm looking forward to adding jewellery, perfume and glass-sculpture showrooms instead! :D

I wish I could post pics but photobucket is acting all glitch for me today.

I think it'd be fine, they'd just go to the new rabbithole instead automatically. You could try it, and just not save he game until you're sure it's ok. If it glitches up, just exit without saving the changes. Or maybe save it under a new save name, so if it goes wrong you can go back to the old save. :D

I was so happy the other day, I had one of my little girl sims go to the dance school to do ballet, and she got the unhidden store dancing skill! All the grown-ups of the household were at my Golden Plumbob Pictures, using the casino items and building up their casino skill. :D

I just use and appreciate the store content so much! The recent news about Salt Lake has really upset me. I assumed the store team would just stop working on TS3 and move seamlessly over to TS4. I'm on a bit of a wobbler. I feel so silly because I feel so upset by it!

Oh god don't even go there. LOL I been wanting that since the day installed the Sims 3. Like really? No bowl or basket to stock in. People have asked for this as PC and it's never come.

That would epic if it were something you could create like the Toy PC, stuff that you can do things with. YES! LOL

This venue seems like it will really add some fun things to the game. Looking forward to seeing it work.

    NOTE.
A lot is simmers wanted to make vase s for the flowers they picked... Did you know that if you pick the wildflowers [Cosmos, a very pretty red flower] once it is in your inventory, you can place it in your sims home and it comes with a pink, 'glowy' tall glass vase? It really looks very beautiful :)
I'm so overwhelmed myself honestly! This is great. I just hope it's executed well, but they seem to have been working on this for quite a while now.

I'm in love with the facial expression of the sim using the perfume! Reminds me of Sims 2! LOL

    February 6th huh! I can't wait!

And thanks for the tip! I did not know that about that specific flower. I do randomly pick flowers when I see them to bring home and display. I always loved how beautiful the Sims homes looked with the stuff from OFB Floral shops. They were my favorite.

Still sadly missing my snapdragons. I had a dream one night that I was able to put them in my game. Don't judge me, I miss them. LOL
