The thing that gets me about the new compilation set is that the items have been out for ages so nearly all of us will already have more than a few items in the set making it not worth buying.
EA just doesn't seem to care anymore...
And we get new players all the time, they are just promoting this compilation for Lucky Palms, let alone having it on sale for new simmers. Just because they release something you already own in a compilation does not mean they "do not care."
There are tons of people who didn't buy the Vegas set because it was too themed and pricey for what it offers, same with the Regency Arcade. I'm sure some simmers probably plan on buying it at one point or another.
Well the sale ends the 26th, so keep your eyes peeled if they make those sets individually on sale.
I think I'll probably get it. But like you said, it's on sale until the 26th, so I have some time to see what else comes on sale, just in case there's something else coming along that I can't live without. Also gives me a little time to scrounge up some more money!
I was hoping for new sets today too but they seem so focused with this new world atm, so this is a disappointing month for those of us who have nothing else to buy.
-.-
You're tellin' me...this will make it 3 months since we've had new hair/clothing.
I like new objects, but come on... I could totally do without a new world(still getting it solely for the wishing well *sigh*).
Well new worlds just happen to come with not only new hairs and clothing, but new sims - this one has the Dreamers in it - new RH's, new com lots, new houses, new furniture, and more. So it should feed your starvation problem. hehehe
I'm looking forward to it if you consider the cost of just a clothing and hair set, an entire world really isn't all that bad.

I think it's a great deal, and I would have snapped it up in a minute if I hadn't already purchased the Vegas sets. I have been wanting to purchase the REgency Arcade for awhile now, but instead I went and bought the Technophobe No More Set and one of the luxury spa sets that was on sale instead. Oh well, I'll get it eventually!

LL had no new hair and only two new outfits.
If Lucky Palms had new clothing/hair involved with it we would have seen it in the screens of sims in the town we have now. No one would dress their sims THAT horribly when they had something other than basegame options.
Also No world has come with new Hair except for BB, and the hair/clothing weren't even originally coupled with BB, they were part of a special, seperate, set.
The clothing in Hidden Springs was paltry at best. There was a total of six outfits I think included in it.
You're making it sound like there is so much that comes with a world, there isn't.
The amount of items we've been getting from worlds has been decreasing with each new world release, which is why I'd much prefer them to just make the items and throw them in a set so I don't have to pay an inflated price for a world that the items are attached to.

and am STARVING for some new clothing/hair.
Has it been that long? Dang. I really hope they release a massive all male or all non-adult/YA set (to fill in the cultural set gaps) soonish to make up for the long wait.
They have done several compilations made up of stuff that was offered before, even in compilations, but with a different compilation theme.
Its not really a joke, just something they do to give a download when they are working on something else special (the world) that is taking there time instead of trying to build another new release of a set.
And these new compilation themes are god for people who have not bought all the the sets in a compilation so they can get a deal.
Plus, there was a warning (or a hint depending on which side of the fence you are on) letting us know that there would be sales and deals on things related to Lucky Palms. And it is a compilation that relates to the Lucky Simolean. It should not have been much of a surprised. It reminds me of exactly what they did with the O My Goth compilation.
I hope this means Lucky Palms comes out next week and is not what is going to be the set for the first week in July.

If lucky palms comes with the casino I will be very mad since I paid almost 2000 sim points..
I have a feeling we won't be finding out till the first thursday in July...

I'd say this is a GOOD deal for me, and anyone else who wants the Vegas and Arcade items.
