The octopus looks like he's dressed as a card dealer or as a circus ring master.
Though I was wrong about the region the last set was from when we were all speculating.

There aren't any real world languages in the Sims world so that'll be Simlish.
Just going off this image, it doesn't thrill me much. Just looks like all the other buildings there is already. Hopefully they'll show us inside soon and it'll be a bit more exciting. Although I do like the octopus sign.
Anyone up for calamari? Maybe its a hangout with a pool slide and diving board. Maybe someone on the inside serves calamari to hungry sims. Too soon to tell, I just wanted to type calamari because an octopus makes me think of calamari.
I really liked the earlier hints that came from Tatertot sounding like it was pool or beach stuff but that does not look like either to me.
It does look like a casino I used to go to in the St Louis area, right down to the parking lot for VIPs and the big fountain out from, the pillars at the casino entrance itself and the outside elevator for the hotel section.
And its not like we have not gotten whole buildings from the store before, like the library and the spa. Maybe a hotel and casino have a pool with a diving board or beach towels...we can dream I guess. Either way, although that picture does not really show anything that would be new to the game, it looks interesting enough that I already know I will buy it.
@Blewis923, I so wish the apartments were more like those in TS2, as well. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I appreciate that The Sims 3 team wants to give us different things, and that's fine with me, but those things should be in addition to, what TS2 already had, in my opinion, of course. The apartments in TS3, have taken a step backward, in my opinion, but maybe there's a reason that I can't think of. Who knows.
On that note, I also really, really liked Bon Voyage, and so, if this venue is what I think it is, I will be one happy camper! :-D
I am hoping it will be a hotel resort of some kind. I think it will have a pool, but at this point, I wouldn't bet anything. ...except for the 10 bucks I've got down on HatakeSage's bet. ;-) lol I'm so hoping for a diving board, slide, or just about anything for our pools. Also, there could be one of those wave-riding pools in there. I just hope that if it is a hotel, our Sims can check in, stay, and check out. I have a feeling though, I'll be disappointed there. Still, my fingers are crossed!
I am happy to see a new venue, and excited about the possibilities. I'd be happy with any of the suggestions so far, except for a casino, since we already have one of those. A sushi restaurant in a the hotel would be really cool. I miss having our Sims have the whole dining-out experience like they could in TS2. Again, I feel they took a step backward there too (restaurants). I hadn't even thought about the possibility of an aquarium before, but the octopus certainly suggests it's possible.
well, clearly it's not a rabbit hole, it's a venue of some sort, so in fact that look at everything you see, may or may not be in build mode in your game too? and by the front entrance, you may see 2 love hearts on an angle, clearly it may show that this is a romantic venue, like in TS1-Hot Date, you can take your lover(s) to this venue and have a romantic dinner, so maybe it's a restaurant(open), where there's a bar, spa area, or maybe it's a lovers hotel. Never know with EA, can't wait to see what it is!
