I have some names. Just as a warning, they don't mean anything. They're simple nonsense words! Use them if you want:
Rilash (Sounds like a simlish word. Remember "Rilash, mick fa loo")
    Cerray
    Verdar
    Cerity
    Kaqua

By the way LOVE the unicorn. It's beautiful.
I’m sorry, but the list must have names with meanings--or at least some name with context. (The name “Artax” has no meaning, but he is the Great Warrior Atreyu’s steed; that’s one reason why I included “Silver”, too, since he was the Lone Ranger’s horse.) Those names go into the “Twilight Sparkle” category--they don’t mean anything but sound pretty.

I do, however, hope that anyone who reads your post uses one of your names. I like Verdar; sound like a good name for a competing horse, even a little French if you say it ver-DARRRRRRR. (Lots of emphasis on the “r”.) I imagine a nice russet stallion posing for a picture or running through a field. Nice and strong. I think I’ll make a that horse....

And thanks for the complement on my “Minty”. I try my best.

Hahaha we all have dorky moments. Some people (like us) have them more often. Also, that really stinks with the dial-up. If you have the oppurtunity, watch Charlie the Unicorn 3. It's the best one.
XD Yes I will! I’m gonna watch all the Charlie the Unicorns, the Double Rainbow Guy, Star Wars Kid, that Numa Numa Guy, Chocolate Rain--all the videos I have missed but seen on Tosh.0 and Web Soup. Also the Rooster Teeth Channel. Need me some Red vs. Blue.

And, hey, if you ever upload something that you used one of the names for, would you show it to me? I’d really like to see it. ^^

Thanks! My sim that I'm using for my avatar right now has the name Calypso Dagwood. Those are your names :D. Also, I don't really care if you use them or not. I might find french words and post them. My mom speaks fluent french so I'll ask if I can borrow her dictionary. I don't really trust google translate. It always gets simple grammar and words wrong, which is highly annoying.

OMG I LOVE that movie! It's an older movie (if you consider 80s and 90s old) called The Princess Bride. It has a lame title, but the movie is amazing. One of the characters' names is Prince Humperdink.
Oh, wow! I seen that movie, like, five times but I haven't seen it in so long! (Have it on VHS but all of our VCRs are on the fritz. )

Honestly, to tell you the truth, I never remember anyone's--real or fake--names unless it's really simple or I see it written down. When I was younger, I had to ask people a hundred times what their names were. XP Of course, once I got it, I never forgot it.

And no, I don't consider 80s or 90s old because then I'D be old! I'M NOT OLD! FEW MORE YEARS PLEASE! :D

Ah! I noticed your new avatar! Awesome! I especially like the hair.

And I’d love some more French words/names for my list! The only French name I could think of was Blanch/Blanche. I reminds me more of an old woman than a unicorn, but I’m gonna put it on the list later.

I’m always up for more names.

I looked it up and it means “the bearer of good news”. I dunno if it fit’s the list…I’ll keep it down somewhere so I can think about it more. I know in Chinese mythology, a unicorn can symbolize great fortune. Hmm…

BTW, I like YOUR new avatar! *does the Time Warp*

Lol! Goliath was an evil, Biblical giant! XD That’s about as un-unicorn as you can get! I like your pluckiness, though.

Edit: The word I used to describe you before was censored because it was slang for something bad. Might as well censor everything, EA, because I'm sure any word is offensive in any language. Might as well not have forums at all if we can't use the proper word because it's slang for something inappropriate.

Omigod, Euby, you’re amazing! I might not even have to scourer the internet for my next update!

It’s nice to meet someone who’s just as obsessed with naming their Sims as me! :3

BTW, the fonts I used on my banners is PerryGothic and TanglewoodTales. I forgot what I site I got them from, but they’re free for personal use.

This guy is named Oberon. He is courageous and guards his forest like he would his own child.

(Named after Oberon Summerdream. The Summerdream house was one of my favorites to play in the Sims 2. I miss playing elves/fairies. :()

    Abonné-Consumer of water, gas, electricity

    Male:
    Aventurer-To take risks
    Avéré-Authenticated/established by evidence

    Good choices!

Agnete also means “virgin, prudent” (which is one reason why Agnes Crumplebottom is named such). Very unicorn-esque. Charlie--or Charles--mean “free man”, which isn’t as unicorny, but perfect for any male.

It’s very ironic, once you think about it, about Charlie the Unicorn--he was tricked into Candy Mountain by Pink and Blue and had his kidney taken away, but he’s a “free man”.

    Chaaaaarrlieeeeee!

Thanks! It's HARD to find names that are pretty AND mean something good. While today's unicorns are considered beautiful and pure, in medieval times they were highly feared. They would gore people and eat them and stuff. They said only female virgins could tame a unicorn. Dragons and unicorns, while not real, were feared almost as much as the plague.

Oh dear I did not mean to give you a history lesson  Oh well...

I dunno. Esmeralda means “emerald”. I’ll have to think about that one.

Lol. I don’t mind the history lesson at all. In fact, when I get super obsessed with something, I look everywhere for info on it. Books, the internet, magazines, movies--whatever.

But the unicorns were thought of a pure--even back in medieval times, unicorn horns were highly sought after to make cups and goblets after or powder. It was believed that drinking from a unicorn horn cup would neutralize poisons and the powder was known to cure a variety of diseases. They just happen to be dangerous, too. They would be naturally attracted to the purity and harmlessness of the maiden. It would lay its head on her lap, where she’d then slit its throat and leave it to the hunters to cut apart. Unicorns were never tamed, only subdued.

Then in the Renaissance, the unicorn began appearing in religious art as an allegory for Jesus. The horn was the weapon of Christ, spearing any sinner it sees; the unicorn itself resting in a maiden’s lap represented Jesus and the Virgin Mary; and its white coat and purifying properties were an automatically associated with Christ.

In fact, there are many references to unicorns in the Bible. This is because the Hebrew word re’em describes an animal with one horn, thus a unicorn. I think a Bible quote compared the power of the unicorn to the power of God. Some even believe that the unicorn was the first animal made by God.

And European unicorns never ate anyone--Middle Eastern and Ancient Chinese unicorns, like the Bo, ate meat. European unicorns were just viscous vegetarians.

All these factors made the originally aggressive unicorn (first recorded in the west by the Greeks) into a gentle creature, which then became increasingly softer until most religious nature and danger was soon written out of it, turning it into the unicorn we know today.

 There. Some history for history. Don't ask me where I got that from either--it's all from a number of websites I don't remember. You'll have to Google it. Lol. Here's one website, though:

Good idea, but that isn’t what the list if about. This is about names that describe unicorns, but can be used for your Sims and such. Lilith isn’t very unicorn-y.

Besides, I have the Spooky Names story that has Lilith and more evil/malevolent names with both meaning and origins. If you’re interested in that, why don’t you check it out?

Spooky Names for the Spooky Soul

(One of my most favorite names in Acrania which is a birth defect in which a baby is born with some or no head bones.)

Hopefully it will be updated by Halloween for all those people who get in the mood to make Spooky Sims.
