I Broke My CAS Tool and cannot choose colors

So I made the mistake of taking a friends advice to try some of the old cheat codes for sims 2 on my sims 3 and it resulted in ruining my CAS tool, I now have lost the orange/red color choices on CAS and have somehow replaced the little circle that chooses colors with a gray dot and a skin colored dot instead, I have tried to uninstall and reinstall to no avail, I also sent a message to ea asking for help and they keep sending me back to this forum, having searched the forum extensively I have not found anyone else having a similar problem and now i am just plain frustrated. I believe I have somehow corrupted the skin color files or something- really not sure any help would be so very greatly appreciated ty

Sometimes we only think we have completely uninstalled. Try uninstalling again and look around for any leftover files. Then, at least reboot your system before reinstalling to make sure there are no residues from the previous game.
