BEX! Lol I wasn't expecting to see you here! You've been dormant on the site from what I can tell. I am having issues with my PC too. WA, even after I uninstalled it, makes my computer laggy and slow and I can't actually play without it crashing in like 2 minutes.

Hi Evergreen! I try to do challenges but between productions, classes, and scriptwriting, I have very little time. I play in spurts. ;)

But this spurt might not last since installing the latest patch I'm all bugged. luckily I usually use my desktop and only this weekend put the game on my laptop, which actually ran better... until WA and the patch.

Which brings me to... Addict I might not be able to participate after all since WA won't work for me longer than 5 minutes... unless they do something soon, but as far as I can see in the tech sections there's all complaints and no answers.

Good luck to all who can tho! 8)

The two week format would be much appreciated on this end. For instance, I wouldn't have had time to finish this week's build without the extension, and I don't have Thanksgiving break. I look forward to the weekly challenges, but it's hard when I realize that I don't have time to finish them.

I'm one of those that look forward to the weekly challenge but half the time find myself without time to do it.

Perhaps if you extended it to two weeks, you could always make sure there is an optional challenge in? For those that would have preferred it to stay at one week.
Of course if you're busy it might just be a simple story, but otherwise it could be.. well.. a more complicated story? :P
Or creating a family, or -- well you've set the past optional challenges, you know what I mean ;)

Which brings me to the question:
Should we move to a 2-week format on a regular basis? We talked about doing this at least for the holiday season, but maybe it's best overall? Feel free to chime in here. I may eventually create a poll on Yahoo! or Builders' about this, too, but let's get the pulse here first. :-)

With my medical problems raring up at odd and inconvenient times, a two week format would be so helpful! I have over a dozen wip lots started for the BnS challenges which were 'almost' completed but missed the deadline - now they are in my "Lots WIP" world..

And I rushed here to beg for leniency - all day today this site has given me error messages on uploads and even on going to my studio.. Now I can edit pictures and hopefully succeed at changing the upload picture! Since there is not one little tweak left to do on my lot...

Jeez. You are one busy girl! Lol. I think WA and the patch killed me too. I'm afraid to mess around with it because it's on my Dad's new work/taxes/all-that-good-stuff computer and I don't want it going all haywire on me.

I also won't be participating for a while. Probably mid January when I've had my fix of simming and settle down to building. Lol.:mrgreen:

What about something in the middle of a week and 2 weeks? Every 10 days? New challenges on the 10th, 20th, and 30th, to be due 10 days after?

I really look forward to seeing a new contest, even if I'm not going to participate. I think a 2-week format would work for the busier times (like Christmas and New Year) and once everyone gets all back to normal and ready to do a weekly challenge, you could change?

    :D

Here is the view from the train trestle Racy, does it look pretty too.

And thankyou for the offer to play test, about 6 PM on the 27th you can go to the same place, same bat channel to pick up the lot and a couple of files so that you can get started easier, do you think $302,000.00 simoleans is enough to keep you adventuring for 3 days......lol.

I think it would be great for December, but having it be a one week challenge really kept me motivated to get it done. So my vote would be to go back to one week after the new year.

    Name: Clovergoddess of Firefly Designs

Lot Name: Red Dragon Inn http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=1608361

    Both are 60x60 lots.

Well we went to China during our adventure and stayed at the Red Dragon Inn in our own private villa overlooking the sea. The villa had everything we needed from a large bed to our own private fully stocked kitchen. The owners had a nice sized collection on hand of Chinese artifacts and books for us to enjoy. Across the street was The Red Pagoda Park, which was a wonderful place to relax after exploring the city and ancient tombs. I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Hi! I joined back in BnS 12 and finally got around to joining again. In case you don't remember, I'm in mid-beginner.
I got a "countryside retreat," and I already had a good house for it! It can be converted easily into a hotel!

Tell me if I'm doing this wrong, I forgot how to do the form.

    Thanks!

Did anyone see my post a while back? Did I post it in the wrong place? Has it even been entered? I'm just wondering.

Freynas will go thru the thread every couple days and update her official entry post to make sure everyone is on it. She hasn't gone thru it since you posted, but i'm sure its because of the holidays. this is her post---> http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/60/125982.page#1594352 if you want to keep checking it to make sure.

I entered after you, so if i end up on there, and you havent yet, you might want to give her a poke. I'm sure she will see it tho!

FREYNAS I also noticed mj1976 posted an entry on page 181 of the BnS sticky, in case you didn't see that.

    Some wonderful entries coming in!

Clovergoddess: Your house is nice but I love your park: it's absolutely stunning.

AlexKnr: It really feels like a cafe/restaurant.

I hope to finish mine.. but I also got Dragon Age over the weekend so... ;)

I decided to do a French cafe but I already submitted something so I'll edit that too.
    Name: Lego30051
    Assignment: Cafe
    Here's the link: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=1615045
The pictures are all on there already :).
Rationale: French cafes have those porches with little umbrellas and what nots. Theres a lovely garden in the back as well and a small plaza courtyard in the front. In the basement there is a wine cellar. Upstairs, there is a bar and a private apartment for the owners. The decorative touches are very country and down to earth... very French! Oui!
Custom Content: Don't think I used any.
