Based on everything I have read, Create A World does not work with the new EA App, so if you like creating your own maps for the Sims 3, you might want to avoid updating until EA fixes that. I have heard that some people can still open it, but Edit in Game doesn't work for them, so that is a serious problem

You can't play your game if you're not connected to the server.
That's not correct, when the App can't connect to the server, you can play your game offline. That happend to me some days ago. The App told me, it couldn't connect and my game opened nevertheless

You can't play your game if you're not connected to the server.
