So, with get to work we got a police station and we can work there, which is really cool. But what if our sims could fall victim to a crime, such as theft and report it? Or how about our sims being arrested for breaking the law? Then our sims might have to spend time in jail. That would be so cool, to me. I could create a bad boy sim who is always in trouble. And it would be awesome to add more stories to our sims lives.
So we could also be introduced to a new private detective career. And we can hire a private detective to solves crimes for us or work as one.

Private detective career sounds really good, but I can't think of any game packs they would release for that.
Why exactly do you think nothing like this would be added, @SimmerOfThePast ? Just curious.
I like to build stuff
I think its possible. We had a private detective in sims 3 , if I remember correctly. But I would like for the one in Sims 4 to be better @Huiiie_07
Also our sims should have consequences , for breaking the law.Like going to jail could hinder their job search and give them a poor reputation. Or in a mischievous sims eyes , it could make them seem cooler
I have a new thought on this ! It would be so neat, if our sims could be active burglars and in the dark of night, burglarize other sims homes and possibly get arrested. Even petty crime, like "Taking Candy From A Baby" would be cute , since the sims has always involved playful themes.
And our sims could possibly do actual community service for smaller crimes. It would be nice to see a boost in character traits as a payoff, like the system from parenthood.
I actually would not like murder. Just some little things to spice things up .
I agree. It's sort of like how we have a hospital and illness, but can't GO to the hospital when we have an illness, and also the illnesses are pretty low stakes and don't have many consequences--they always just go away on their own. It makes the existence of the hospital seem...superfluous. I for one would love to have things that make the expansions seem more integrated and have real consequences on the game.

I don't know why I bother saying anything. Every time someone has an idea I pretty much always like it.
And burglars are also neccessary. Don't know why we haven't gotten them yet after all these years.

> This sounds like such a fun idea! I've never liked giving my sims the 'Evil' trait because you can't really do anything evil in-game! If player characters could actually partake in criminal actions I think it'd be a lot more fulfilling to play a sim who's evil or mischievous
This is the exact same reason I don't use them either! It would just be really interesting to play as a sims who is a bit more reckless

(storytelling purposes)
Petty theft such as burglary (because I miss them!) and robbery.
Public intoxication... self explanatory.
Simple assault such as too much pushing, poking, throwing drinks, slapping and fighting.
Disorderly conduct is the same as simple assult just less physical - like too much insulting, mocking, petty jabbing, yelling and arguing.
Trespassing... self explanatory.
Vandalism such as graffiting and kicking over (a pet peeve of mine) bins.
Police and/or detectives could turn up and escort them to the station where they could be dealt with accordingly. A night in a cell to cool off or sober up? Or being held until a court hearing?
PlayStation. 🎮
United Kingdom. 🇬🇧
I know police/consequences are available in one of the darker mods, but if our sims are already committing crimes, they should get punished for it, no?
DBClayton's Superhero Mod Pack v. 1.1
They aren't going to add "druggie" sims into the game. Sims can't even get drunk, just buzzed.
