@LadyEmillye ~ What a sweet business! that there is seating outside to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and scenery, but also offering some indoors for inclement weather or to be closer to the delicious smells coming from the kitchen area.
Such a shame that the home has fallen on hard times, but the right sim will make it shine & sparkle once more. It will be fun for your Buddy (and others!) to take this diamond in the rough and give it a little polish.
@AlphaFen ~ What a delightful dwelling! Your way with words is wonderfully witty. It's a pleasant surprise to see such a stylish starter.
@djsdragongirl *hugs* Thank you!! They look amazing! Can't wait to get them in my game.
Have rec'd everyone's gifts so far. Everything looks great.
Since I'm not at home right now, I'll be uploading my stuff later today, and will post here tomorrow (we're almost through our data for the month, and there's still over a week left in the billing cycle, otherwise I'd make the trip over here later tonight as well).
Ciane ~ The casino is a really nice replacement for the one in Lucky Palms. I had wanted to do that one over for quite awhile as I've never totally liked how it looks on the outside and would like more to do on the inside. This is a really nice option
Lady Em ~ I love the story of a Grandma's failing business and broken down house being a possibility for her Granddaughter to take over and make into a bright happy and thriving future. Maybe Bleu can once again have a thriving winery as well
Dj ~ When I married my girls Dad his son was 6 and he was 10 at the time my oldest daughter was born. He was very much like Tamisha for awhile trying to find out where his place was. It will be fun to play this out and discover where that is for her.
Alpha ~ Omg your description cracked me up as always! Thank you for the much needed chuckle! The house is very cute and I think in this case a slurpee factory explosion wasn't a bad thing! And so cool to be able to add small lots to worlds.
Wow, @tanubanue, I have missed seeing you around for awhile and it took me a bit to get use to your new avi. I do love the new avi and must go see where I may have missed your upload! I missed the "slurpee factory explosion" comment earlier, but I love it!
As you know you have always been one of my very favorite simmers. You're positive fun outlook on things and your quirky sense of humor have never failed to make me smile and sometimes laugh out loud! Thank you for the many smiles and chuckles and always keeping things positive!
With that being said I was pleasantly surprised and extremely happy when I was given you for a buddy. Although I didn't want to make a fluffy pink unicorn mansion or a cat lady themed park I hope that what I was inspired to make for you are things that you will love and enjoy in your game and will add to your gameplay.
Your homemade gift for today is Ezra, Nirker Kitty, and the House of Wands ~
Ezra is a witch who for a long time chose to ignore his magic side. But little things began to happen around him and in small bits and pieces the magic wended it's way out. He'd always been super fond of cats and he now found that when he used his magic it made the bond to his cat, Nirker Kitty, much more *familiar*. So he picked up a wand and moved to a new home.
His new home was comfortable for both himself and Nirker and he furnished it with things that would be helpful in learning how to use magic. It also included a washer and dryer because he LOVED doing laundry! Other things were added that Ezra felt would help him in his life including a special cabinet that contained a maid that could live right there on the property with him.
He named his new home House of Wands, not because there were a lot of wands, but because of the magic within that a wand represents.
I hope you have as much fun as I do with Ezra and Nirker. I've grown attached to them while play testing. They've earned a permanent place in my worlds.
Since you've never played with Bonehilda before I cant wait to see what you think of her. Just to let you know if things build up on the lot it may mean that she's decided to take a trip into town. My Bonehildas often leave the lot and to get her to return just click on her coffin and say dismiss and then wait for her to return to the lot. You can then summon her again to do her job, lol (Seems she runs from laundry as well! )
I uploaded House of Wands from Lucky Palms. I just placed a 20 x 20 lot down. I also placed a 20 x 20 lot in your new town of Moonlight Falls :)and in my game they live along the river. There is one spawner on the lot so the cat can hunt. If you'd like a copy without that let me know.
@ciane Hey you I've been lurking. My post with my first gift was being created when you posted so it's up now lol My avi is a picture of a sim that I gifted during the last exchange and thank you! Care to dance??
Okay so finally time to reveal who my buddy is. My buddy is... Dang it I always get tangled up in this awful ribbon every time I wrap these gifts.
*shakes paw* Next time I will be victorious ribbon!
*cough* Anyway my buddy is... *drum Roll* @Mystik1978
I was really excited to get your letter as I am also a heavy gamer and love me some rpgs and fantasy. I have wanted to do some more fantasy inspired gifts for a while so it was really enjoyable creating these gifts for you. Anyway for your first gift I am starting out with a household. I always felt that Dragon Valley could use some supernatural touches as that expansion goes so perfectly with it. So I decided to make a fairy family for it.
Juniper and Thistle are twin faeries who have recently moved to Dragon Valley. Juniper is very artistic, intelligent and loves to Garden. While her brother a is an outgoing bard who loves to play music for others. I had a lot of fun designing them with different less realistic hair colors. They each have a pet dragon that suits their personality and lets not forget the fur baby as every household needs one. A little dog named Puck, he is a hyper but loyal corgi they took in after their move to Dragon Valley.
You can see more of the household in the spoiler below.
@LadyEmillye you can restasure that the family home will become the glory it once was. I love it! @ciane it took me a while to think of the back story to the family, but since I had made just Tamisha and Jeanne to start with and then she fell inlove with one of my other sims. I was busy playing Tamisha and most of Jeanne & Alceed's affairs happened behind the sence. @tanubanue it is awesome to see you here and I love the new av. I love Ezra, he reminds me of one of my sims. It would be interesting to see where his path takes him.
I think I need a bigger cart to hold all these wonderful gifts that everyone is giving out.
All the gifts are wonderful and I love the back story to all of them.
Oh, LOVE the story and all the pics. The house is perfectly decorated. I love that soft green color. I can see how you quickly became attached to the family. I love them already.
@djsdragongirl Hey! Wonderful to see you too! I had another version of Ezra but this is who he wanted to be lol He is a lot of fun. Thank you for the compliment!
Thanks ciane That color is one of my go to colors.
@ciane Wow I love my new casino! I have had that in my letter for the longest time and I'm really happy someone decided to build it. I think the colors in the one you uploaded look great but I also like the color changes you made in your blog post. It has a very classy look to it and fits great in lucky palms. I think my favorite part of the exterior is the L shaped stairs leading up to the casino, its a really nice architectural detail. The lot looks like a lot of fun to play in, I love that you included an area for bands to play in addition to the performer stage. I have been playing a sim in a band recently so this will be a fun new place for her to get gigs at.
Yay, @Catdog123! I'm really glad that you like the casino. I love those L-shaped stairs too: as you say, they really add a nice look. I added those alternate color change pics at the end of the blog to show that I really want you to alter the casino to just the way you want it.
@LadyEmillye You made a lot of wonderful gifts for you buddy. The Berry family are cute, especially Strawberry. Elder Berry's name really made me smile. The bakery looks like a nice place to get a bite to eat, I really like the front patio with the tea tables. Its such a fun object to play with and really suits the bakery. Berry Estate looks like a fun home to live in. I never thought to put the glass blowing station in a house, its a really fun object. I think the dinning room is my favorite room in house. The Artwork you chose goes really nicely with the dinning set.
@djsdragongirl I love how you gave so much backstory to your gift. It was fun looking through their life together and really helps you get a feel for who they are. I also really love the colors you chose for their wings especially Jeanie's.
@AlphaFen Bauhaus Blue is a really fun build I am a big fan of teal so this certainly appeals to me especially the kitchen. I'm am loving the cabinets in the kitchen. Oh and I should remember not to be drinking something while reading your posts "Explosion in a blue Slurpee factory" almost made be do a spit take.
@tanubanue Ezra and Nirker are a fun pair to play. I really love pattern you put on his fur. House of wands look like a fun home to play in. I especially love the living room it looks very warm and lived in.The pea shooter is one of my favorite objects so is fun to see that being used.
All right, first time today I've been on, so I'm going to Custard check the gifts I was assigned. I will comment on things when I've had a chance to actually LOOK at everything.
@LadyEmillye: While the bakery is CC free, the family (which means also the house with the family in it) has CC. It appears to be either a face overlay or a set of eyebrows, according to Cleaner. I am having Addy double check it for me.
@ciane: As usual, you make the most wonderful and architecturally beautiful lots. While a modern build like this isn't my play style, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate it. I love your clean lines, and how you pull things in with patterns and colors. I love the flooring on the stage! It looks like a very fun place for Sims to hang out at and meet new Sims.
@LadyEmillye: What an adorable family, and... OMG I LOVE THAT DOG! He's just TOO cute and adorable; it makes you want to hug and cuddle him!
@djsdragongirl: I love that wonderful backstory! That little girl is so cute, it breaks your heart to read it. I'm glad that she became besties with her little brother. That cat is a little charmer, too. What a great family!
@LadyEmillye: (Yes, I'm doing these in order!) I like that little bakery. There are so many possibilities with it as it is right now. The fact that it has all three kinds of ovens is great. The little house is pretty, and it looks like a wonderful little home for a small family to live in.
@AlphaFen: That house has exactly the kinds of clean lines and clear functionality that I know Ciane loves. It's uncluttered and easy for a Sim to move around in, which is a great type of build for anyone to use. Perfect for a bachelor living there by himself.
@tanubanue: Ok, that guy and his cat, and their little house, I'm going to HAVE to play. He's cute, the cat's cute, and the little house is perfect. While the house is too modern for Dragon Valley, I can see playing him in Riverview, where he might keep the fact that he's a witch a secret from everyone.
@CatDog123: I don't think I've ever been to your studio before, but that will have to change. I absolutely LOVE these fairies, and am going to have to plant them in DV and play them. I'm with you on DV, btw; I usually make every Sim in DV over into some sort of supernatural (using MasterController) before I start playing; I really think it was EA's intent that they all be different things like fairies, witches (i.e. elves), werewolves, and vampires, rather than humans, particularly since they're all berries and they all have pointed ears. What EP/SP/store set is the male faerie's hair from? I don't recognize it, but it looks great on him. So do the muttonchops, which normally I steer away from like the plague. On him, you've made them look fantasy rather than anachronistic.
Hi everyone! Just popped in and gave a "like" to posts containing a gift. I'd love to stay and comment, but it's been a very exhausting day. (( not to mention all last week )) Don't worry! I have seen all your spoiler pics, and actually LOVE what y'all have shown so far.
But for now.... I must take my tired little but..t to bed. I really hate having to get up early in the mornings, but sadly... it IS my job.
Wow! I always miss something! Sorry, @Catdog123, your post popped in obviously before I posted on Tanu's upload; BUT I didn't see it until after reading others' comments on your work. I think I don't always remember to refresh a page before I start typing AND I can take forever typing a response, so several posts can be made while I'm typing and I don't think to refresh when I finish!!!
Any way, I agree with the other comments. Yours sims are lovely and I particularly love the clothing options and their color choices. Also, I have a friend with a Corgi and that dog is spot on!
@MiaSkywalker I've been slowly renovating Dragon Valley trying to make it suite the theme. I'm keeping technology but trying to find pieces that suit the world like one of the stuff packs have a laptop that looks like a giant spell book. So rather than riding the library of computers I just placed those on tables as the look a lot more fitting. The hair is from the Le Cirque Nouveau; http://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?productId=OFB-SIM3:54677
@ciane Thank you so much, I wasn't sure how accurate Puck looked so that is really nice to hear.

Ah, good to know! I'll have to look at it seriously sometimes when I'm making a fantasy Sim.
If you want a makeover of Dragon Valley, @creativemetaphor and I are doing just that, right now. If you'd actually like to JOIN us in the process, I don't think she would mind. I wouldn't. But I think we're probably doing it a bit more aggressively than it sounds like you are. You might want to take a look, though, you might like some of what we've done.
Back from a nice dinner with my family. Gotta it when someone else does the cooking
Looking over the gifts that @LadyEmillye shared, custard came up with the following for the household and the house/household:
Type: CAS Part (Face Overlay)
Sub-Type: Eyebrow (tyaemf)
Both were individually installed and I then sifted through the installed content section of the launcher.
Only the household and lot came through. No outside CC or any other oddities.
A similar note shall be on the first page and people can decide for themselves if they'd like to add these lovely gifts to their game.
Sorry for this being so late in the day.... I've had the CRAZIEST past 24 hours of my life but I wanted to make sure my buddy got a gift on day 1!
Speaking of buddies.... I had the honor of making a gift for the lovely @Bookworm742 !
Here you go Bookie! (p.s. I apologize for the lack of landscaping... it's still a skill I'm working on!)
Welcome to Dozmary Pool!
Located in Dragon Valley, this pool is one of the several locations that claims to be the home of the legendary Lady of the Lake. Today, however the citizens of Dragon Valley flock to this natural pool for the relaxing and healing properties of the minerals in the water.
There are family-friendly activities to pursue around the pool as well as a few scattered plants here and there. (There is also a very convenient outhouse for when nature calls )
