Some of you have Sims in the military or police occupations. And well...everybody loves a Sim in uniform.
Post your Military/Police Sims...
Here's a few of mine.

I have both my police station and military base on the same lot and they're both open workplaces so I decided to drop by today and watch what was going on while my sim was off riding his horse elsewhere.
Here's the front of the police building side, let's see what is going on inside.
Someone peeking in the window?
It's Bullet Grunt. When the Grunt's emigrated from Strangetown, Buzz bought the dog for Buck to help with the transition.
The military building is located on the same lot on a different street.
Wow! I love your photos!
They look awesome.

Here is one of my town's boys in blue in action, apprehending a burglar at my sim's home. The officer is a vampire, which explains his glowing eyes.
I do very much wish that EA had designed the arresting officer to escort the criminal to the rabbithole and walk them in, instead of driving a short distance and disappearing.
Jamie Nakamura driving the Admiral on Jamie's graduation day from high-school (Jamie has joined NROTC).
The Admiral with his son and daughter.
The Admiral; a former naval aviator.
A temporary place-holder uniform for Midshipman Nakamura, I have to muck around in TSR Workshop...and come up with a midshipman's uniform...based on the Sims Navy Uniform.
Jamie's regular every-day utilities that he'll use for when he's doing his part-time NROTC.

Sooner or later, every society has a recession, and even the occasional depression. Wages drop, unemployment goes up, citizens get restless. This is just as true in sims towns as anywhere else—even in good times, half the population will gather in front of city hall on some random Sunday just to scream unintelligible insults at an empty building.
How does a government go about ensuring its own survival with such a volatile and demanding population? By printing more money and spending the society back into economic health, of course. But people tend to resent it when their tax simoleons to towards such frivolous exercises as supporting the arts, bankrolling innovative startups, or (heaven forbid) investing in the education of the next generation. The military, on the other hand... well, who's going to say no to a fleet of fighter jets parked at the local airfield? Especially if they're built in town and staffed by locals. Patriotism is contagious and a loud and convenient answer to every possible objection. And of course, the space race scratches the universal societal need to be the best at something, even if the erstwhile opponent is merely some vague (reddish?) menace lurking just offscreen.
Think I'm reading too much into this? That maybe I'm seeing parallels that aren't actually there? I ask you, then, why are you guaranteed such high sale prices for your produce, if not because the government is trying to stave off the next depression with some ridiculous farm subsidies? I mean, your garden is great, but §28 for a "perfect" potato? Every single time you go to the store? Who do you think you're kidding? There's no way this happens without some serious meddling behind the scenes.
Having said all this, I do have to admit there's something compelling about a guy in uniform, who has a big gun and knows how to use it. And I'm pretty sure that's not just me.
No comment on the "big gun" thing, I'll leave it to someone else to take that and run with it.
But when we have real life family reunions, the classic Risk board game still features prominently on the entertainment schedule. I can't seem to get the image of "Okay, Bridgeport is attacking Sunset Valley and I'm rolling three dice" out of my silly head.

I love the detail you've added to your uniforms.
The Cowboy and the Mermaid
I want to make sure that the shoulder-boards don’t look like they were just painted on but an actual separate piece on the shoulder, the way they’re supposed to look.
