In another thread it was said that the Gurus have been posting about showing off the new roofs in the livestream so the speculation is that we could be getting the patch today. I'm sure they could show us the roofs without giving us the patch until Tuesday since they are showing us Cats and Dogs and we won't have them until next week. I will just keep my fingers crossed and check my Origin around 10am Pacific time.

Fair enough but it just seems a bit out of place when no one is moaning about that in this thread. A bit presumptuous.

There's no need to be rude. And apparently that wasn't an obvious thing for me to post.

Not being rude..it was an obvious point in a thread where no one is moaning about "devs breaking their mods"

Not yet, my footwear-favoring friend. Not yet...
Some mods break with every patch, and all you can do is hope that those modders are still modding enough to fix it.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

Lol "footwear-favouring friend" I like you!
I don't see how anyone could moan about that as...it doesn't make any sense...at all.
Well we will see patch day I guess...you can inform them then

Sadly, some people do moan that the patch broke their mods/cc, and want an easy fix instead of pulling them and testing them a bit at a time, "stuff" breaks with most big patches @luthienrising is usually kind enough to start a Broken Mods thread that we can go to and check out what other people have reported is broken and report our broken stuff as well, luckily, the bigger mods like MCCC, show sim info, UI cheats extension and a few more get fixed rather quickly, S4S is pretty quick with batch fixes of objects that might break because of new animations. Big patch day is always fun.

Maybe cause they fix the stuff devs never do... so since they don’t bother with fixing stuff themselves , they could at least make sure their patches won’t break them. Also modders don’t owe us anything so you saying it’s their job to make stuff work again is uncalled for and they do it anyway so idk what your problem is

Would be nice wouldn't it....would be even nicer if the devs actually fixed bugs they themselves made in the past but never do. Hey ho....patch day will be fun. Eeek.
On Cities Skylines somebody popped up complaining the heck out of Green Cities breaking all their mods and demanding that the makers should be taking all mods into account when they patch. And it doesn't make any sense at all as to why they should, especially since it makes upgrading the game so much harder.
You see, Orchid is already doing it.

@luthienrising sounds like a godsend and a great asset to the community to be nice enough to take time out of their day to do that. Ill keep an eye out for their posts.
I use only two mods; MCCC and a pointy ear mod. I have cc non-default realistic eyes, one cc (recolor) dress and that's about it. I try not to junk up my game with a bunch of superfluous items. But, that's just me.

Those are my two mods too but i am a cas cc addict....i have a problem. I feel blessed mccc is updated regularly. Wish i had the talent to make mods myself.
I think that with Cats being able to jump on things, either many chair and table mods will fail, or you will never see your cats jumping on them. Or they will try and it will break something.

Why should they make sure their patches don't break mods? That's the modders job. Modding is done at the persons own risk. I myself don't really do CC or mods. I prefer vanilla.

I have to disagree with you, @Loanet is correct, EA is not responsible for 3rd party mods/cc, we that use them always know it's the risk we take if a patch breaks them. This is why I personally only use the bigger mods that I know get updated regularly, couldn't enjoy the game without them.
You are correct that modders owe us nothing so if they decide not to update their stuff then we as mod/cc users just have to accept some of our mods may not work after a big patch.
CC usually doesn't break with patches but that is not saying that it doesn't. I have a lot of cc in my game because I love the stuff, I am also aware that on big patch day, I will have to pull my mods/cc and spend several hours testing it in batches so that when I do start up the Sims I will not get any of the dreaded LastException files, or crashes while I play.
"If you could read my mind, I'm pretty sure you'd be traumatized for life"
Well, this is wonderful... I wonder if it'll break that fall mod me and other people are using, I also was using that grocery mod, the smaller mosaics mod, mod poses, that fame mod, that one violent mod) custom food and others.
I also recently added those nice CC mods from the country living and Teeny tots stuff, wonder if they'll have to be fixed too.
Lord, I realize that this patch will definitely break any game-changing mod, including MCC command center, triplis, icemunmun and necrodog mods, wonder if custom traits will be affected as well.
Thank goodness I have my folder organized or this would be a horror show.
I hate that we can't stay at a patch level until the mods are fixed, we have to update it as soon as it comes out....
No you don't. Just stay in offline mode in Origin and you can play without an update
When you log into Origin, just press Offline Mode, and it will run fine. I personally did this when a few annoying bugs get reported (like the spicy food bug).
Really? So when the patch comes out I don’t have to update it immediately? Thank goodness. Thanks for the input

You should be able to keep your settings as long as you don't delete mc_settings.cfg and mc_dresser.cfg files in your mods folder.
Am I too lost?
