I do suspect this may mark the beginning of the end, though. Just went ahead and bought Lucky Palms, which I really wanted, just in case. I have no complaints - I should have gottten onto the DD thing much earlier and bought some weekly offers for things that aren't on the rotation, so I've had my chances. As it is, I'm pretty close to owning the non-World parts of the store.

I really hope it's not the end... The worlds are the things I'm saving for last. They just cost too many Simpoints, and I can't afford to buy any. I only bought 1 world, Dragon Valley, and I kinda wish I hadn't. Wish I knew more about the Daily Deal when it first came out. Would have helped a lot. Instead, I wasted 1000 Simpoints on things that were horrible, and I bought at full price. Well... Live and learn. Let's just hope that this is not the end. We shall see...
It isn't just bonuses. The mmao thing is login specific. Doesn't affect everyone. But since then I've completely lost my ability to use my store account. Even if it "accepts" a login to the point where my persona name shows at the top, the right side of that bar where it shows your points, friends, mail, etc. is blank. Not zeros, just empty. There are gifts I can't download because attempting to login to that part of the site just shows a "be right back" screen like mmao. The ea specialist said this is all part of the same problem. And they're working on it.
I'm waiting for my "Let Off Steam!: moodlet to kick in. No joy on that so far.

Right there with you @Vgrace573. I just racked up a ton of Simpoints and now I'm sitting here like what do I do with them? I would love to use them on MMAO, so I can save even more on some of these sets I need. But that don't work right now... It's just super annoying.
Same. Very productive points farming weekend - added around 4000 points - but I don't want to buy up sets at full price in case MMAO and the weekly deals come back.
Not a bad amount. I got close to 2000 and still going. I did buy a few sets that were on sale that I needed. I got some good deals there in my opinion. But for the most part, I'm waiting for 4 sets I need that are going on Daily Deal in the next 2 weeks. I have the times saved on my phone's calendar. Haha. So only perk of this simpoint farming. That, and I could buy some sets that were CONSTANTLY showing up on my MMAO that I don't want because I'd be spending more Simpoints than needed.

Yeah, I noticed the points not coming up this morning. Usually they're added as soon as the ad finishes for me. SO glad I farmed a lot over the weekend...

I'm having this as well. It's been 10 hours now for me, and 2 rounds of "point farming" without points, one last night and one this morning. I bought a small item just to see if that would make it update but it just took points off, it didn't give me anything from the ads I would have watched.
The only 2 issues that I'm having is with the ads as I have watched about 5 of them today and they didn't pay out but everything else is still working for me and I can't gain access to the My Page as I am getting the Apache Tomcat/6.0.32-error page. I just got 6 items off of the MMAO today, so that is still working for me as well as buying things off of the store pages...
For those for whom MMAO is still working, what is your setup? Curious to know if there's something I might be able to try I haven't already done. Device, OS, browser, country/state and any settings you can think of.
I'm unable to get it on my Android phone or W10 laptop and W10 desktop PC, tried Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and a bunch of mobile browsers. I'm in Tasmania, Australia. Always get the "be back later" thing regardless.
I'm just using Internet Explorer and I have Windows 10 on my PC and I live in the USA. Other than that, I don't know what else it could be that keeps it working for me. Maybe whatever is causing the site to have issues just hasn't hit me yet. But I do hope that there is someone at EA that is looking into this since we haven't heard or seen any of the SimGuru's/Staff make any type of official comment about the site.
It is very strange how some of us cannot access certain features and others can. Also, since the site "maintenance" on October 12th, the problems I am experiencing come and go. Sometimes I can gift an item, then hours later I get the apache tomcat page; sometimes my purchase history loads, then hours later I see the spinning blue circle over and over. Starting last night, ad points are not registering on simpoint totals.
I don't think this is the end of the store site. A few people have posted that they have contacted customer service and the problems are being worked on. I just don't know the priority level Sims 3 gets especially when new games, such as Battlefield 1, are being launched.
No, I agree it's unlikely to be the end of the store. They could be winding down the ad points thing, though, if there aren't enough clicks these days to justify it. Depends on fixed admin costs vs advertiser revenue, I guess.
MMAO doesn't work on Internet Explorer or Firefox for me, and I'm in the US. East coast. Just noticed I'm not getting Simpoints to appear either. Now I need to make sure I keep my spending down because I have 3 more Daily Deals I need to get in the next 2 weeks.
I'm fortunate in having 7475 points left. That should cover the DD stuff I have left, which mostly gets covered in the next two weeks, with around 3000 left for one World. Might have to choose between Midnight Hollow, Aurora Skies and Lunar Lakes. Or forgo Fifth Avenue Fashions and the gold version of MH and get two.
Wow, @AuraKnight. You have a lot of stuff and A LOT of simpoints. I'm down to about 634... Not bad, but not good. I really want the worlds, but they are last. Too much money, and not worth the price. Learned this the hard way when I impulse bought Dragon Valley. It stinks that the worlds don't have CYS because I do own some of the little sets that come with some worlds. Sigh...
Okay, someone sent SimGuruDrake a message about the ads and that she said that she will let someone know what's going on.
Today I decided to try again with the ads as I was having issues with the little smaller ads, so today I am getting these bigger boxed ads and they are called CarsDirect and NewCar.com and they have been paying out simpoints. These must be new ads as I haven't seen them until now. I was hoping that once I watched one of them that the other points from the smaller ads would show up but they are not.
Those aren't new ads to me, they are the only ones that did pay out before but even they had stopped working. I'm glad to report that I am getting my simpoints again, though! So yay!!!
As of 12-18-16 I joined the Own The Store Club! Now I get to pay it forward! Thanks to everyone who helped me get here. You guys are amazing. ^_^ Love to you all!!
