That is so awesome of you @ajaxpost, and thank you for hosting such a big lottery. And thank you so much for sending me the roof topper, very nice and generous of you to also gift everyone else on the list a store item. Thanks again! > > > > You are most welcome, some of those 'Russian' items recolour really well and are versatile enough to be used for all sorts of builds. :)
I bought the two 'Russian' roofs that look like Christmas trees, and used them in my Santa's village (a reno of the Al Fresco Street Market) --- and I love them! I can't post links yet, otherwise I would, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
There was a 'Gift of Creation' thread running in here a while ago but unfortunately the leader of the thread has had to take time away and it kind of got abandoned. I was thinking it would be good to create something like that again, it was so much fun and rewarding for everyone involved.
It's on page 4 I still wonder what happened to Mia, I hope she'll be back, the note she left us on really makes me worry about her. If anyone would start a new Gift of Creation thread I'd be sure to stay around. But there is something alike in the Creative Corner, people can ask for things and the D.N.A. team will create. I just think the creative corner should be split up in Sims 3 and Sims 4, the fact that it is thrown together can be confusing sometimes.
Yes, the last note she left about the health problems in her family was upsetting and I hope that they are all well and those times are behind her.
She, and Nathan, were wonderfully warm, generous and enthusiastic members of the community.
Yes, the D.N.A. crew are pretty awesome and incredibly skilled but what I particularly loved about her 'Gift of Creation' thread was that it encouraged novice builders to have a go and create something with a really personal touch - like getting a treasured gift from a dear friend.
Yes, you are right about that. I wouldn't qualify myself as skilled enough for D.N.A. but loved to do GOC gifts. Sadly I never had the honour to meet Nathan, when I got on the forum I only met Mia and I guess Nathan is just as awesome as she is! They sure added a lot to the community
Don't forget to take care of yourself every now and then in this big chaotic world!
Congratulations to all the winners who were able to get a big ticket item.
That's good to know, I believe I now have all of the Russian roof pieces so can't wait to use them on something.

@ajaxpost thank you so much for the gift! I don't mind that it wasn't a big ticket item. You have a good heart because you're so generous. Any gift is much appreciated, no matter the size! Thank you again and congrats to everyone who got gifts!
