I'm sorry you had a mishap.
But you do such a wonderful job of your lots they look beautiful and your ideas are great. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result.
Unfortunately I have to go out now and will probably be gone for most of the day. But that's life isn't it. We can only do what we can with the time we have in which to do it.
Like yesterday I had a list of things I needed to get done and I had about 10 minutes to do them in and I just wanted time to stand still - but it wouldn't do that for me (I probably would have got stuck and frozen like a sim if it did ) So in the end I was about 2 hours late when I finally left the house.
The main thing is to enjoy what your are doing. And whenever I forget to save something, or it crashes before I can save, I try to remember what I did but can't really. And then I just make it up and I usually find I do a better job second/third/fourth etc time around. And yes - I've demolished and rebuild big lots from scratch 2 or 3 times just because I thought of a better way to do something.
So far, I have only created the "then" version -- no cobwebs or broken windows yet.
The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, study, attic, attached garage on side of house, garden with shed, small screened porch in back. Uses store content but no 3rd party CC.
No upload on mine yet, I dropped the "then" version on a 50x50 in Moonlight Falls and added a pool in the back, garage with the classic fixer upper car and a tractor trail with berries from the Bohemian Garden set. I redid the inside in shades of white and blue with dark wood. This will end up being my legacy home, easily my favorite EA produced lot.

You might want to use the wall pattern with no dirt streak, or dirt streak only on the bottom for the lower floor. The dirt streaks normally only show up on the top or bottom of a wall, not in the middle.

Thank you so much for starting this thread, Karritz. And your bakery looks great! Recommended.
Here is my new build. :-)
Second Empire + Colonial Revival -ish home with contemporary interior.
2BR, 1.1/2 BA , kitchen, dining room, living room, attics, BBQ, and swimming pool. All appliances upgraded.
Many thanks to MrHawk and Bily_jednorozec for the unlocked stencils.
No CC (checked in CUSTARD) but lots of store content.
Play tested.
Karritz, thank you for this thread! It's great to see how everyone is using these new items and being so creative with them! Hopefully the store team will see this and maybe we will get another "build" set sometime soon.... wishful thinking anyways! I did create a lot, and I hope it's ok if I post it here Karritz since I did start a whole separate thread?! :?
Dark Dwellings is a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home on a 50 X 50 lot. I used the fog emitter quite a bit for effects and there are also three non-playable ghosts roaming the grounds. This lot was created using only EA items and patterns.
Thank you all for posting your creations here. I'll get them onto the front page in a few hours. I need my computer on to do that.
I enjoyed reading through your other thread Tiki. You expressed the same feelings I had when I made my spooky bakery. We need more spooky stuff to build with and lots more spooky decor. And I am not a fan of horror or vampires but for some reason I love building it. Just don't have the time right now. But I'll get back to it.
Thank you chopin for the rec - and thank you to everyone else who has given me a rec and I hope anyone who has downloaded my builds are enjoying them.
I have now updated page 1. Please let me know if I got anything wrong or if I missed adding your build. I'm only putting the builds with links to the exchange there this time.
Inspired by the Mansion set and the now and then theme. I went to MH and started to brighten up some lots and put in other worlds. I have just changed the color palette and some patterns.
