I'm not following all the rules of the 10 generation legacy challenge, but using the basic concept of a single character founding a lasting dynasty and, hopefully. staying true to the 'spirit' of the challenge.
Although this game and story started off as a fairly simple legacy challenge type story, I have got rather carried away and, from about the middle of the second generation, it has become much more a family drama and the story has pretty much taken over from the legacy gameplay and it's now more a soap opera type story about the ups and downs, the trials and tribulations, of the Slade family.
Brandon, my 2nd generation character, thinks he has found true love (and hopefully the mother of the next heir!) but it turns out life is never simple ...
Just read all three posts and i've got to say i'm enjoying it. The end of the third post was sad. I hope he works it all out. I know what it's like when you start a new legacy. I've just started my first one and I know alot of people don't like to comment, so I thought I should just say keep it coming. Bookmarking.
Thank you nikkitina, it's good to know someone is enjoying it
I'm pretty much playing it 'unscripted', there's no prepared story so who knows what will happen :?: Though having got him into this situation I suppose I ought to help him sort it out
If you're writing up your legacy let us know, it's always good to see how other people do it and the diverse stories they create.
Getting a bit frustrated at the limitations of the Sims 3 story creator I have followed most everyone else and uploaded my legacy story to a proper blog :-)
Hello. Just read your story from start to the latest chapter. I really enjoyed it and thought it was really well written. I've not long started my story and know how difficult the start can be. Especially when your not even sure if anyone's reading it!
So, I've bookmarked and really look forward to next update.
Thanks so much guys for your positive feedback :-)
I've started reading both your stories and am well impressed by the detail you've gone into in creating your characters and their journeys. Both bookmarked! :-)
Anyway, I've just finished a small update to my modest story ...
Like the new chapter. Cleo's turning into quite a personality.
And this made me laugh my socks off!!!
Qiana wasn’t sure about having real bodies on show in a tourist attraction but this was ‘abroad’, maybe the customs were different so she should respect their values and not get too upset.
Just caught up on Chapter 10. I'm liking Pascal and Cleo. They make a sweet couple. But will they be able to make the distance work?
I like your English pub too! I can't remember the last time I went to my local and saw carpet, but that's the beauty of Sims. They are not going to dirty the carpet! Thought the wallpaper and lights were really realistic though.
Yep, Cleo and Pascal work well together but these long-distance relationships can be difficult, or not ... 8)
Have to admit that my design skills are not quite up to the mark yet, I downloaded the pub from MTS: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=396262]The Cornerhouse. It is rather fabulous but, to be honest, a real pub would have flagstones and sawdust rather than carpet
And I see your new chapter is up, excellent  I'll be over there shortly!
My design skills are terrible, no one can be as bad as me...which is why the background is often a bit scant in my posts! I've even used auto roofs before. Hangs head in sham  e...
I'm quite new to blogger and haven't got my head round all the links and stuff I could add (too much time playing and writing! ) I shall have to look at adding some of the legacies I am enjoying and share the love :-)
Here we are again, and chapter 10 is now ready for you :-)
This one is really just setting the stage for some more dramatic chapters coming up, nonetheless, I hope you enjoy this simple tale of romance and phone calls ...
Just caught up on Chapter 10. Yay more Pascal! I really hope Cleo can make the long distance thing work. I'm a bit concerned about the eager eye she has for the other boys though!
I love the way your really making use of World Adventures - it's nice to see the sims exploring more than just their home world.
Look forward to Chapter 11.
BTW, I've tried adding you to my blog roll but it won't accept the website address for some reason. I'll keep trying though!

I like the last couple of chapters that i've done more than the beginning but oh well
Getting a bit frustrated at the limitations of the Sims 3 story creator I have followed most everyone else and uploaded my legacy story to a proper blog :-)
http://adamslade.blogspot.com/ - Easier to upload and certainly easier to read!
For those of you kind people who have read the story already I have split the second chapter in two, for 'dramatic' purposes
So, to read the latest installment you would now go directly to Chapter 5.
I thank you.

Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to seeing what trials and tribulations Cleo brings.
Anyway, my latest chapter is now up :-)

And this made me laugh my socks off!!!
Well, Qiana's a small-town girl, quite naive, but not narrow-minded ... and I had to find some way of explaining the bodies

Yes, I think I'll have to keep an eye on Cleo, she does have something of a 'wicked' streak!
The latest chapter though, has neither Cleo nor Pascal
Something of a departure for me, a bit like one of those 'special' episodes in a soap, I hope you like it.
Chapter 11: Hunt for the Organism
Brandon is working as an agent of the LIS on the trail of a mysterious "organism" ...
