I guess what I was talking about is more of a "spring-cleaning" of the thread. Ways to make it more helpful, easier to find info, streamline it. I only mentioned it to see if people who use the thread thinks it would be useful to do so. We are up to almost 500 pages. I don't know what the new EA forums will look like and we know that any uploaded images, videos, or GIFs will not be migrated over. URL's will be migrated, so that is helpful. But do all of the URL's still work? Again, I am only asking if people think this needs to be done, not saying that it should be done.

@rnramey - I agree that a thread that is 500 pages can have a lot of information that is hard to find. I created this thread because we agreed the previous DD thread, which hit 1000 pages, was too large. I believe our host also left the forums. With our current thread, I have tried to keep updating the first page to add new information and link to certain posts within this thread.
After we received the news about the forum being replaced, I was reviewing the first page. There is information that can be deleted that I kept for history sake such as the section on Bonus Ad Points. I had hidden it with a spoiler code a while ago, but at this point with bonus ad points so far in the past, I think it can be deleted.
I would suggest that we wait until the new forum opens. I have no idea what editing a thread will be like in the new forums. I have nominated many of the threads that are linked on page 1 of this thread, so those should still open. If we find that this thread does not work well in the new forum, we can create a new one. We could make a lot of edits to the first few posts.

Hi there, so this forum is closing as well. Wow! I feel a bit nostalgic about this thread. Although I'm pleased I don't need to put my alarm anymore to get up in the middle of the night, this thread and all associated threads and people are so helpful (which applies to a lot of threads and people of course, not only the TS3 DD subject). I own most of the store and the few CAS items I don't own, I'm fine with that. I have a hard time as it is already to dress my Sims with the many many many cloths options I do own, don't need to add to that. It's just nice knowing this forum is (was) always there, even though if I'm not that active on it anymore. We will adapt to the new situation, right . Luckily some threads are also migrating. I hope you are all doing well.

As a bit of an update to puzzlezaddict's findings, I have since found that another change in the CYS discount (from 80% to 70%) happens when you own at least 75% of the set. In Merelhyn's thread, I posted my early data pointing to this:
Working towards Best of 2012 actually allowed me to uncover ANOTHER change in the CYS discount based on how much of a set you own: somewhere between 60% and 75% the discount changes from 80% to 70%. Building off of puzzlezaddict's work, I estimated the new change and my calculations became correct. Since I made this change (the day I bought Enchanted Bundle in April 2021) my calculations have only been wrong on 2 of 376 test cases, which were Kids! 2010 and Tip Top Toddler Collection (known to be bugged via the Animals Abound cascade).
This topic has made me curious what my CYS tools say the "CYS for free" should be for various DDs.

I guess what I was talking about is more of a "spring-cleaning" of the thread. Ways to make it more helpful, easier to find info, streamline it. I only mentioned it to see if people who use the thread thinks it would be useful to do so. We are up to almost 500 pages. I don't know what the new EA forums will look like and we know that any uploaded images, videos, or GIFs will not be migrated over. URL's will be migrated, so that is helpful. But do all of the URL's still work? Again, I am only asking if people think this needs to be done, not saying that it should be done.

@rnramey - I agree that a thread that is 500 pages can have a lot of information that is hard to find. I created this thread because we agreed the previous DD thread, which hit 1000 pages, was too large. I believe our host also left the forums. With our current thread, I have tried to keep updating the first page to add new information and link to certain posts within this thread.
After we received the news about the forum being replaced, I was reviewing the first page. There is information that can be deleted that I kept for history sake such as the section on Bonus Ad Points. I had hidden it with a spoiler code a while ago, but at this point with bonus ad points so far in the past, I think it can be deleted.
I would suggest that we wait until the new forum opens. I have no idea what editing a thread will be like in the new forums. I have nominated many of the threads that are linked on page 1 of this thread, so those should still open. If we find that this thread does not work well in the new forum, we can create a new one. We could make a lot of edits to the first few posts.

As a bit of an update to puzzlezaddict's findings, I have since found that another change in the CYS discount (from 80% to 70%) happens when you own at least 75% of the set. In Merelhyn's thread, I posted my early data pointing to this:
