The Sims Have been out For about 20 years and i know this game appears to be a game for kids, but older people were 20 years younger when this game came out, so who's still playing??? is it a young person game, older person game, or both???
It came out when I was 40. I don't think it's a game just for kids, although, it has certainly been toned down from the original. lol
I'm still playing and can't see myself ever NOT playing the Sims.
I like that they are adding more of the "darker" side this time round. And bringing back some of the humour like they did with Strangerville.
I've been playing since the release of the Sims 1. I was 10 at the time and I don't think I'll ever stop playing the Sims games (or games in general, for that matter). So to me, it's a game for both young and old!
Guys, it is not allowed to share your exact age here on the forum!
I think only if you're a minor.
Right. Senior citizens are fair game.
I'm 51, only picked up The Sims franchise fairly recently - well, recently for me. I guess it's been 7 and a half years, now - but I played the original Sim City when it was new.
I still believe the playerbase is largely children (as in people younger than 18) but on the forum you will mostly find adults and people who have been dedicated to the series for a long time.
That's not what I saw when I was in Facebook groups. The majority of people were over 21 and had been playing sims for years. The teen group was like 2nd largest. Both groups I was in had over 50thousand members.

I'll be 41 next month. I've been playing since Sims 2 when a friend introduced me to the game. I didn't even own a computer at the time and I bought one to be able to play.

Yeah and facebook is also one of those things which these days, is more popular among older people ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Besides, that amount of members doesn't even scratch the surface of the supposed playerbase
I'm 26 but I've been playing the sims since elementary school. I remember I used to take turns with my best friend playing and watching. She loved the building part more and I the playing.

I am 34 and was just about to post about how I couldn't believe I actually HAD to choose this age range!
