I just want to say, I appreciate all the nice comments people leave in the threads I create. It would be hard to reply to all of them, but I do appreciate them.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but those aren't new. They've been here since the pools patch released last November. :( It's likely something they intended for last Halloween, but never made it.
I don't know what specific object you mean by "spa shower", but I built a lot with all the spa objects and both of the new showers that came with Spa Day and had absolutely no problem. Does the bug come back when you add it back?
I had the same problem when I tried to use affordance_modifiers, and so did Spinetiti on ModTheSims. I think there might be something in the code preventing them from working with custom buffs.
Thanks! I just tried turning Oasis Springs into a destination world, and it worked first try! The only issue is that you can freely travel between Oasis Springs and Granite Falls, and doing so will cause the "vacation" to end, but I assume that will be fixed whenever an official new destination world's added. Until then,…
Sorry for the delay, but I've updated this with new sets for Get to Work. Since GTW didn't include any new aspirations, I fit in running a business to two of the sets. You can still play active careers or run businesses in other sets, those are just the ones that require it.
First, I'm going to make a mod that changes existing careers to point to a venue type rather than a specific venue, allowing the player to choose the location of the workplace. I have huge plans for new stuff after that.
I tried changing that and it worked, thanks! At first I was confused about why a cloned career didn't work the same as the original, but then I noticed that the code tests for specific careers. :)
I mean where they go during the active career. It's not possible to change that in the XML alone, nor is it possible to assign a career lot to a new custom career.
I'm currently leading Lyndsay's Gamespot interview, and came across this paragraph: Looks like they can! http://www.gamespot.com/articles/sims-4-s-first-major-expansion-introduces-playable/1100-6425100/
I have four new questions to add. :) * How will Ambitions-style careers blend with The Sims 4's world system? My assumption is that they will work like normal careers when Sims are not active, but you can switch to their workplace and control them there. Just a guess, though, so I'd like to have it clarified. * Is the…
I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. The Sims 4's code is very expandable, and able to take a lot of new features easily. Just take a look at Outdoor Retreat: it's only a Game Pack, but it's so big that some people were treating it like an entire expansion!
It works similar to traits that give you occasional Moodlets, but you can level them up by being in a certain emotion for long. I'm not sure about chance cards, but it's definitely possible to lose skill points. The test version of the mod had certain emotions reduced by others, but that was removed as it caused more…
