The more I see and hear about this game, the less I like it. Seems like their focus are the people who like to create characters and do photoshoots in the game. I don't think I'm in their target audience.
The discord is pretty awesome. I agree the devs have been very hands on, and I've learned alot from just asking questions there. They are also very transparent which is refreshing.
https://youtu.be/OK5VW6q8y24?si=hTvAr_jXby4q0fZi Another new video on modding. Also they confirmed we can build our own towns with the mod tools coming with the game.
I agree. The shoulders look like they have been fixed, eyes no longer look flat, and the hair line on Tatiania looks good on her fade. Maybe it will actually release in EA in June.
I just got it a few weeks ago and haven't had any major issues. I just play as a tenant though. The lot events can be annoying, but also remind me of my time as a renter. The landlord either doesn't show up to fix things or ignores them and has you fix it and just reimburses you for it. Yet they act like their rental is…
Being called a boomer is a far cry from being called the n word. This is reaching. Also if you don't want mature content then you probably don't want to play the game since it has nudity and calls woohoo by it's real life name.
How are the controls with the new update? I played it for about 30 minutes before, but gave up when I couldn't figure out how to place a single box on the floor and the tutorial didn't explain it either.
Same here. The Paralives and Life by You threads seem to have been buried. Anyway, the gardening looks cool and I love that there will be annual and perennials in the game, but the crafting system needs some work with those sprinklers. The ingredients don't make much sense.
I don't know if it's just Rod's gaming style or what, but these constant collecting videos are getting old. We need to see how the characters interact together at something like a wedding or a dinner party. Also I want to see the town full of more than 2-5 characters at a time. Right now it feels like a ghost town.
That's some horrible advice. It's cheaper and better to upgrade parts as time passes rather than the whole PC. My husband has been upgrading the same PC he bought when we first moved into our old apartment 10 years ago. One part gets old or goes bad and he just swaps it out.
I do not think anyone is asking for them to release a buggy game. The disappointment comes from them continuously making promises they either can't or won't keep for whatever reason. It's like dating someone, wanting to get married, and having that person say they have the ring but can't commit to you because they…
I agree completely. They are basically going through early access already with playtesters so just keep doing what they are doing until it's complete and ready for release.
I noticed the beams in the picture with the small house. I hope this means we can put beams on the ceiling of interior rooms as well. That would look great on a log cabin or a great room with vaulted ceilings.
This is how I feel. Life by You's world is huge and extremely moldable and to be honest, I'm tired of prettiness over substance. Yes the characters still need some work, but the world itself is gorgeous (to me at least) and the under the hood mechanics are fleshed out which will make the game fun long term. Graphics can be…
It's still a no for me. The structure of a world is a core feature for a game, and I do not trust that it will magically be fixed sometimes during early access. Maybe EA has made me cynical, haha. But if the groundwork isn't there in early access then I don't trust that it will be added in. Hopefully I'm wrong, but EA is a…
Having a studio head actually be humble and kind enough to listen to his team and the fans of his game, even if their ideas don't fit with his initial vision, is both refreshing and encouraging to me as a consumer. I was becoming very iffy about this game due to the less than stellar human visuals and animations. However I…
The game is open world, but you won't be able to place custom lot sizes throughout the world like you can in the Sims 2 or Sims 3 in the initial release of early access. Instead it sounds like it will work like the Sims 4 with you being able to only build and delete buildings on pre placed lots. And from what Alex said in…
I won't be purchasing Paralives due to two things. 1) The characters have changed dramatically since their first reveal, and for me, not for the better. The environment still looks great, but the characters now look more like paper doll cut-outs than someone out of a graphic novel, and I hate it. 2) I just found out that…
I'm so ready for this game to release at this point. I want clothing stores and clothes that cost money, more ingredients for food that doesn't require me to purchase DLC to get that option, grocery stores, functional purses and back packs, open worlds, and most important (to me), the ability to micro and macro manage a…
Not sure if anyone else mentioned this here, yet. But it looks like they sneakily added spiral staircases to the base game!!! I'm not really a builder myself, but even this has me super excited. The game just keeps getting better and better.
A new death, new appliances, new kids stuff, and hopefully the ability to put multiple households on one lot... I may buy this at release because even if it has bugs, modders are gonna have a field day with this pack.
I love the world, I'm just hoping they add hotels so I can finally replace the rental lot in Sulani with one. I want resorts and some of those beach lots when they did the flyover in the beginning look like they would make perfect hotel lots.
Agreed. I want to be able to just build apartments and duplexes without having to own them for them to work. Those three oversized lots in Del Sol Valley definitely need to be row houses or apartment buildings.
