My sim in my main save is mostly at Selvadorada now, lots of gem digging there. Little jewelry shopback home was in my mind
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..
Gemology will be an elective course at my magic school. There will be one spellcaster family dedicated to crafting magical jewelry and statues, and they'll sell them to a local occult shop. They'll get their material from a crystal forest in the middle of a rocky crystal land.
I might get TOOL so I can dot that island in Brindleton eith crystal stuff, to make it even more magical.

While crystal jewelry making can be a studio anywhere, any home and apartment with the creator selling items off plopsy, I really want to start my own boutique using the retail system. Like I want to make a witchy little shop that makes custom jewelry I remember visiting some in New Orleans and in the current city I live in, but the lunar cycle has me really wanting ot place the shop in Moonwood Mill. I recently took the library and placed it in the smallest lot, (cutting off the gym), but I think that's were I will have it. I upgraded Strangerville library to have the clock tower town hall, so they can just go there if they need a library.
Clearly I will have a lot of crafters elsewhere as well, including my simself, as she has a large collection of crystals and I have been wanting to do something with these items.
Resisting the urge to make all my sims take up gemology now I have some ideas but I feel like I need to start really thinking who gets these powers and to what extent before all my sims are covered in magical bling and crystal tree becomes the new lawn flamingo

No plans yet. I saw in the trailer what looked like a new sales tables so if its possible to sell these in the sales table and in the shops, I will probably make a shop somewhere. Maybe in oasis Springs, next to the quick weddings venue.
I think either my mermaid-to-be or maybe-vampire-to-be will get into gemology. Both of them are still kids, but I have been meaning to age them up to teens quite soon. It's a pity we can't use seashells in jewelry making.
These would go well in a bridal shop too... hmm... Tartosa... π€

I think I'm finally going to make a mystical/magical retail shop selling crystals/collectables, jewellery, brooms, potions, candles, herbal remedies, etc. In the basement is where I'll set up all the necessary work stations (jewellery, candle making, cauldron, etc) and behind the shop will be crystal trees and other gardening plants, beehives, fishing pond, frogs, etc to produce all the necessary supplies for crafting and selling.
I'm tempted to call it "Needful Things".....
Now if only my multi-talented spellcaster sim could live fulltime in the apartment above the shop. *bats eyelashes at devs*

I think this is the perfect pack for a spellcaster and the only one that I occasionally play is Vladβs wife, Yadira. I might have her open an occult shop in Glimmerbrook or Forgotten Hollow and sell jewelry alongside her potions and oddities. π€

I also love @Gordy 's idea about a crystal tree forest. I wonder if the crystal trees will come in different colour swatches depending on the type of crystal it grows?
If so, it might be fun to make an enchanted crystal tree forest (national park) with glowy mushrooms, plasma trees, mandrake plants, ponds with rare fish, fireflies, and all the other magical occult flora/fauna/items we currently have in game. Might be a fun place for our occult simmies to visit and gather and/or create some of the things they need?
Maybe there's even a tiny overgrown shack hidden deep within the forest where our weary travellers can lay their heads for the night..... who used to live there, I wonder?

@AncientMuse I'm not sure if the tree comes in different colors. When we look closer, there are already crystals of different colors in the tree π
Ah okay.
Yup, it looks like there's only one type/colour of crystal tree that will supply different crystals? Oh well, that one style will still look beautiful at night... all glowy and mystical.

I want to figure out how to combine the Spa Day self-care specialist aspiration with herbal remedies and crystal healing.
I want to explore using the crystal pack with as little hardcore spellcaster gameplay as possible.
I also do not want to focus on jewelry making.
I think I might finally explore fame by writing a series of self-care books.
Yeah I'm in the same boat. I don't play with occults but I fully recognize wicca and witchcraft etc are a thing even in the real world, as well as all sorts of "woo" crystal ladies that are otherwise non-magical. So there's definitely ample game play options here even for non-occult players.
Also, as someone that lived in New Mexico for 6 years this is absolutely the perfect pack to set up a little Native Arts shop in Strangerville.
In one of my saves think will have my next heir when she becomes old enough learn right now she is only an infant and in the other saves will have to wait and see if anyone gets the want to learn once I have the pack
I do love the idea of a little jewelry shop, I just have to decide who will own it and where to place it.
So far I have two of my existing sims in my mind who will take up this skill in a big way. The first is Iris, the purple-haired, bohemian, chaotic neutral sister in my Mooncaster household, which is otherwise divided between good and evil spellcasters. This is perfect for her, as unlike her sisters, she never really had a focus for her spellcaster path before, other than dabbling in potions.
The other is Raven, the goth girlfriend of Alexander Goth. She's generally artsy, but unlike her heavy metal/rock star father, she's not particularly into playing music, just listening to it, and scribbling in her journal. So this will be a good path for her. She can start her career by making really sinister-looking rings and such for her dad (and his eventual bandmates, fingers crossed).
I have many plans for Crystal Creation. They are:
Historical Supernatural Crystal Jewelry Makers
Historical Supernatural Gardens
Futuristic Alien Hybrid Crystal Jewelry Makers
Futuristic Alien Gardens
Updating all my old Historical Supernatural households with the new Skill & home Decor
Updated most of my Futuristic Alien households with the new Skill & some of the home Decor
Making a new house & household for my Daughter so she can download it for her own Sims 4 play
And making a new Mystic household with a new kind of home in my 20th Century Game Save
I wonder if jewellery has any effect on occults
would be cool if you charged some jewellery and it prevented being sipped by vlad or turning into greg for instance

Ohh, in the Marvel universe, there's jewelry that allows vampires to safely walk around in sunlight. That'd be pretty cool, I think.

Oh that would be super cool
I never really give my vampires the sun resistance perk cause its so permanent but something like jewellery would be neat
