Once again I bulldozed the lot and rebuild it from scratch.
The original isn't bad but in my opinion it lacks glamour. Given that the Starlight Boulevard is the fanciest place on earth you might expect a bit more flashiness. If you can't remember the premade Studio PBP, here is a picture of it:
I built a four level building with a striking design which of course should look best at night. There is a public viewing platform on the second level and the more private rooms for the stars in the third and fourth level. The curved glass elements at the facade are called "Eurus's Shield" are from the "Come together" expansion pack and can be seen in the "Bathe de Rill" community pool in Windenburg. I always wanted to use them in another build and I think they are a pretty good extension to give the design an extraordinary kick. There is one piece of CC in this build: Ravasheen's Uplifting Elevators. A building in such a place for such an audience MUST have elevators.
This is an aerial view of the whole building:
The ground level consists of an elaborately built staircase as access to the public lookout platform and some elevators to reach the upper levels.
The second level is a public lookout platform for everyone to enjoy the view on the starlight boulevard. I preserved the "Oh So Fawncy Floor Sign" from the premade lot.
The third level is "members only", just like in the premade lounge. There is a Karaoke room, a private meeting room maybe for contract negotiations and a disco room for those who want to dance. In the center are the elevator shafts and the washrooms.
The fourth level is also reserved for the celebrities and their following. There is bar with the most comfortable furniture and a stage for the stars to perform in front of their exclusive audience.
The roof houses the mighty air conditioning machinery as well as the latest transmitting and receiving equipment. Today's stars want the world to participate in their live.
The Studio PBP lounge from a sim's perspective:
A section of my Starlight Boulevard at night: Besides my Studio PBP you might catch a glimpse of my rebuilt "Plumbob Pictures Museum" in the background, which I already presented here and my Senso Dome .
I hope you like it. Thanks for viewing.

I did double up with the rear left workroom so I could add a painting balcony on top with ladder.

Thanks very much @rosemow for saying the Commune looks great so far I had the idea but wasnt sure what style so I put the pieces together and just decided the flat roof looked nice and as I love Industrial and the Eco pack so im joining the two together. It was a fun challenge and I have to finish it today and I have to go and try to finish it and its like furnishing 4 houses plus the garden areas need more added to it. Thanks again for your lovely comments

Brindleton Bay has this maritime New England aesthetic, right? And then we have mermaids. Somehow, the two together got me thinking of H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu mythos. So, why not build a house for that? I'm picturing a twisted Lovecraftian sorceror type (oh look, Realms of Magic) and his Old One wife (basically a monster mermaid, with jagged teeth and bulging milk-white eyes). The house would be a decrepit, isolated thing on the top of the hill ...
I'm rather pleased with the winding path going up from the street to the house. Also, that "foundation" isn't actually a foundation, and that first storey is actually a second storey: the "foundation" is a fence with the second storey brought down as close as possible, so the floor trim overlaps the fence's top edge. I could use a proper foundation, of course, but there were things I wanted to do with the basement that could only be done with the first storey instead.
There's the "basement". Using the first storey instead means I can put in a frieze, and use the wood stilt foundation to open up the underground lake a bit more, make it physically go under parts of the building. Also, that's the secret bookshelf door that opens from the house into the underground lake area.
So now comes the big question: HOW AM I TO FURNISH THIS THING?
This house has a few rooms and I'm not sure what to do with them. It's not like this horror-story couple is going to have a lot of kids. Are they? Bear in mind, also, that I'm going for "dark and creepy" rather than my usual "pleasant and comfortable". Here are the main floors of the house so you can see what I'm working with:
I'm also trying to keep the number of packs used to a minimum. Obviously, I want Island Living for the mermaids, Cats & Dogs for the setting, and Realms Of Magic for the magic paraphernalia. Discover University has the extra-tall, full-width bookshelves, and Jungle Adventure has the ancient temple aesthetic for the creepier parts of the house. I haven't used Vampires yet, but it's got a lot of "old and decrepit" stuff that could be suitable. Maybe I should also consider the Paranormal stuff pack and make this lot a "haunted residential".
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
