Lost in his thoughts, Mayor Evans's gaze wandered to a framed photograph on the mantelpiece—a captured memory of a past adventure. He reached out and traced the outline of the image, his fingers brushing against the smiles frozen in time.
"Max," he whispered, turning his attention to the faithful companion by his side. "What am I feeling? I've never experienced anything quite like this before. Rachel has captivated not just the town, but my heart as well."
Max, his loyal canine confidant, raised his head and offered a knowing look, as if understanding every word his companion uttered. Mayor Evans chuckled softly, his hand finding its way to Max's head, his fingers gently ruffling the fur.
"I know, Max. I've always been focused on the town, on the needs of the people. Love, connection, it seemed like a distant concept. But with Rachel, it's different. There's something about her, something that stirs emotions I never knew existed within me."

They're all grown up! Siblings going to Uni together. One studies Science & Medicine and the other Comm. I am sort of doing a "throughout the decades" theme for this save and want to continue it on to the new world I move them to. Right now I'm going for 70s theme. I forgot how awesome the items from the 70s/80s/90s SP are!

“This place is huge.” Haruo looked around as he searched for parking. Every single parking lot sported what appeared to be a pay-parking meter. And being frugal, Haruo hated the idea of having to shove money into a meter to have someplace to park his car. That was just pure aggravation. “Guess I’m gonna have to slot in one of these places…luckily, I have quarters, nickels and dimes.” He muttered mostly to himself. A nickel bought 5 min. A dime 20min and a quarter would give him roughy 40 minutes. “How long do you think it will take to get this done?” He asked.
“I don’t know exactly.” River told him. “It’s my first time up here to see if my transcripts are good enough for acceptance. If they are, I have to pay my registration fees so that I can start my classes after the holiday break.”
“That sounds like a lot of work…” Haruo quipped as he picked a parking spot and parked the Escort. It looked thoroughly weather-beaten next to some of the vehicles parked in the parking lot. Haruo was more determined than ever that he was going to get a new vehicle in the spring. He would be embarrassed to park this thing next to…he looked around. What was he parked next to?
Haruo rolled his eyes. Really, I had to park next to a Mercedes S-class? He shook his head and went to feed the meter while River went to the enrollment office at the administration building. He would start his classes in the fall of next year. Gemstones would be his business for the next six months. And if he made enough it could end up being his career.
River planned to take electives to round out her education requirements so she was doing those first in order to devote most of her time to studying the core courses for her arts and education classes starting in the fall. That would be her summer classes.
When River returned to the parking lot forty minutes later, she was beaming. “I’m enrolled.” Evidently her transcripts were good and the Dean’s office had told her that she could pick her classes that same day. So she did. And she would be all ready for start of spring semester on January 3rd of 1989.
“Let’s go get something to eat off campus. The meter’s just about to run out.” Haruo suggested. And he and River dove into the car, pulling out of the space just before the ticketing agent made his rounds to pin the latest round of parking tickets on cars. The little Volkswagen Golf that was the parking attendant’s car was making its rounds at the far end of the parking lot.
“Hogan’s?” asked River?
“Yeah, I thought I saw one just around here somewhere.” Haruo replied.
“Hogan’s sounds good. Been wanting to try their chili cheese burger.”
“Yeah, that’s a bit too hot for me.” Haruo said.
“You never like spicy stuff anyways. Wendy’s chili cheese fries are probably the limit for you, sweetheart.”
“Yeah, scarfing jalapenos down isn’t my idea of a fun time.”
“So…why did you and Torao have that jalapeno eating contest back when you were in grade 11?”
“I was young and stupid.” Haruo said as he pointed to the Hogan’s on the corner just before the on-ramp to the Number 1 Hwy. “There’s one…”. He hit the turn signal to make a left turn into the Hogan’s parking lot.
“You’re still young… You’re only 18. I don’t turn 18 till January.” River said as Haruo parked the car.
“Wait, no comment on the stupid part of it?”
“That’s something your mother would jump on, not me.” River told him, and squeezed his hand gently, “I’m not like your mom…”
Haruo looked at River appreciatively. River’s teasing was always gentle and never cutting. And he could always feel the loving vibes from her.
When they were done at Hogan’s, Haruo took the left turn onto the Trans-Canada Hwy on-ramp and back towards Vancouver.

I've finally got the time to do Aizen and Malai's baby reveal! It was one of those days where I was originally scheduled to work until 2pm and found out that the schedule was changed (while on my day off) so I got off at Noon instead. 🙌🏻 SCORE! So here I am with extra time.
One afternoon when Aizen, Malai, and Amaya were watching a movie together, Malai started experiencing some intense abdominal pain...
She stood up from the couch and realized...it was a contraction!
The baby was coming!!
Aizen immediately helped Malai upstairs to the bedroom to assist her through the home birth. 🥰
I was imagining he was rubbing her back and reminding her how to breathe and stuff in this picture.
Even in the middle of labor she was glowing. 😄

“Mornin’…” was Haruo’s reply. “Breakfast will be ready in a bit.”
“Gotta head to the lab early. Boss wants me to second him on a coupla experiments he’s doing.” Noel stated as he came out of the washroom after shaving and showering.
“Good, just so long as you don’t bring home the incarnation of a Triffid.”
“I’ve seen worse. We have a cow-plant down at the lab. You know that the science centre had a hiring fair last week?”
“Yeah…?”
Noel quipped, “The reason why was Bessie ate three geneticists. Trust me, they’re quite an annoyance to replace.”
Bessie the Cowplant was notorious. If you were on your most alert posture she probably wouldn’t try to take a bite out of you, however should your attention lapse in any way shape or form, Bessie was most grateful for the unexpected meal. Evidently scientists made for very tasty treats.
That was why the Science Centre was constantly hiring new employees. Employee turnover was a key feature of that business and not voluntarily either.
“Yeah, remind me never to work there.”
“The insect division is much safer.” Noel suggested, then thought for a moment, “…oh, maybe…not… you gotta keep your eyes out for the assassin beetles. They’ve been known to give a nasty bite…requiring antivenin, we’re all out of antivenin and we’re expecting a shipment in next week.”
Haruo eyed him warily, “Antivenin or assassin bugs.”
“I can’t remember. I’m working in the three-eyed fish hatchery.” Noel’s countenance brightened. “Can you swim?”
“Why?”
“Our fish pond needs a cleaner.”
Haruo raised an eyebrow. “What does that entail?”
“Oh, just getting into the pond and wiping down the surfaces to get the gunk off the walls and floors. We also have a suction vacuum that gets it up quite efficiently.”
“Yeah?”
Noel grinned at him. “The three-eyed fish aren’t bothersome but the robot fish occasionally emit an electrostatic discharge, that’s why we use nylon fishing lines. And you really don’t want to be in the water when they do zap. Also the piranhas like to jam their heads into the vacuum cleaner. Getting them out is a royal pain-in-the-hind-end.” He paused for a moment. “They bite…at least that’s what Johnny Two-Fingers tells me.”
Haruo’s expression was one of No way in hell am I going to take that job.
Noel grinned as he saw his friend’s reaction. Tucking away the last of the cookies on his plate, he looked at his watch, “oh, look at the time…gotta hit the road if I don’t want to be late for work.”

If you are writing "Sims fic"...that you are turning into "your own story" Don't make ANY mention of EA premade or NPC characters even as an aside if you want to copyright it especially even if they make minor cameos in the background. Don't make any mention of EA worlds. This way it is your own story and EA doesn't catch wind of it.

It's the day of the school ball and Lise Veronica has to pick an outfit to wear.. oh she became really pretty if I do say so myself.. pictures and more stuff inside.

The morning sun cast its gentle rays upon the motel room where Rachel and her team diligently analyzed the data collected from their expedition. The air buzzed with the hum of scientific instruments and the focused chatter of the geologists engrossed in their work.
Unbeknownst to Rachel, Mayor Evans made his way to the motel, a tray of steaming Starbucks cups in hand. He entered the room with a warm smile, introducing himself to Rachel's team and engaging in friendly conversation. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose, as the mayor effortlessly charmed those around him.

When River returned to the parking lot forty minutes later, she was beaming. “I’m enrolled.” Evidently her transcripts were good and the Dean’s office had told her that she could pick her classes that same day. So she did. And she would be all ready for start of spring semester on January 3rd of 1989.
“Let’s go get something to eat off campus. The meter’s just about to run out.” Haruo suggested. And he and River dove into the car, pulling out of the space just before the ticketing agent made his rounds to pin the latest round of parking tickets on cars. The little Volkswagen Golf that was the parking attendant’s car was making its rounds at the far end of the parking lot.
“Hogan’s?” asked River?
“Yeah, I thought I saw one just around here somewhere.” Haruo replied.
“Hogan’s sounds good. Been wanting to try their chili cheese burger.”
“Yeah, that’s a bit too hot for me.” Haruo said.
“You never like spicy stuff anyways. Wendy’s chili cheese fries are probably the limit for you, sweetheart.”
“Yeah, scarfing jalapenos down isn’t my idea of a fun time.”
“So…why did you and Torao have that jalapeno eating contest back when you were in grade 11?”
“I was young and stupid.” Haruo said as he pointed to the Hogan’s on the corner just before the on-ramp to the Number 1 Hwy. “There’s one…”. He hit the turn signal to make a left turn into the Hogan’s parking lot.
“You’re still young… You’re only 18. I don’t turn 18 till January.” River said as Haruo parked the car.
“Wait, no comment on the stupid part of it?”
“That’s something your mother would jump on, not me.” River told him, and squeezed his hand gently, “I’m not like your mom…”
Haruo looked at River appreciatively. River’s teasing was always gentle and never cutting. And he could always feel the loving vibes from her.
When they were done at Hogan’s, Haruo took the left turn onto the Trans-Canada Hwy on-ramp and back towards Vancouver.

I've finally got the time to do Aizen and Malai's baby reveal!
One afternoon when Aizen, Malai, and Amaya were watching a movie together, Malai started experiencing some intense abdominal pain...
She stood up from the couch and realized...it was a contraction!
The baby was coming!!
Aizen immediately helped Malai upstairs to the bedroom to assist her through the home birth. 🥰
I was imagining he was rubbing her back and reminding her how to breathe and stuff in this picture.
Even in the middle of labor she was glowing. 😄

Everyone, please welcome to the sim world Zain Aizen Yamamoto.
After a few kisses from both mom and dad, Aizen immediately took Zain to care for him while Malai got some much needed rest.
Aizen and Zain started bonding quickly. 💕 (Especially since Aizen is a stay at home dad.)

Ivar and Monica have started expanding the house by building another floor. Since Lise Veronica became a teenager, of course, she would need her own room so that she wouldn't have to share it with her little brother Thomas.
Lise Veronica is on the phone with her friend Margrethe. Ranveig shows up to take them to the doctors office as promised...
In the waiting room Monica disconnects from reality upon seeing the potted flower on the table...
Monica is very skeptical of the doctor and becomes defensive, but eventually they all agree and treatment can begin.

Amena got a loan from the bank, bought an empty lot and started building the new house for her and George.

“Morning…” Noel said perfunctorily as he headed to the washroom.
“Mornin’…” was Haruo’s reply. “Breakfast will be ready in a bit.”
“Gotta head to the lab early. Boss wants me to second him on a coupla experiments he’s doing.” Noel stated as he came out of the washroom after shaving and showering.
“Good, just so long as you don’t bring home the incarnation of a Triffid.”
“I’ve seen worse. We have a cow-plant down at the lab. You know that the science centre had a hiring fair last week?”
“Yeah…?”
Noel quipped, “The reason why was Bessie ate three geneticists. Trust me, they’re quite an annoyance to replace.”
Bessie the Cowplant was notorious. If you were on your most alert posture she probably wouldn’t try to take a bite out of you, however should your attention lapse in any way shape or form, Bessie was most grateful for the unexpected meal. Evidently scientists made for very tasty treats.
That was why the Science Centre was constantly hiring new employees. Employee turnover was a key feature of that business and not voluntarily either.
“Yeah, remind me never to work there.”
“The insect division is much safer.” Noel suggested, then thought for a moment, “…oh, maybe…not… you gotta keep your eyes out for the assassin beetles. They’ve been known to give a nasty bite…requiring antivenin, we’re all out of antivenin and we’re expecting a shipment in next week.”
Haruo eyed him warily, “Antivenin or assassin bugs.”
“I can’t remember. I’m working in the three-eyed fish hatchery.” Noel’s countenance brightened. “Can you swim?”
“Why?”
“Our fish pond needs a cleaner.”
Haruo raised an eyebrow. “What does that entail?”
“Oh, just getting into the pond and wiping down the surfaces to get the gunk off the walls and floors. We also have a suction vacuum that gets it up quite efficiently.”
“Yeah?”
Noel grinned at him. “The three-eyed fish aren’t bothersome but the robot fish occasionally emit an electrostatic discharge, that’s why we use nylon fishing lines. And you really don’t want to be in the water when they do zap. Also the piranhas like to jam their heads into the vacuum cleaner. Getting them out is a royal pain-in-the-hind-end.” He paused for a moment. “They bite…at least that’s what Johnny Two-Fingers tells me.”
Haruo’s expression was one of No way in hell am I going to take that job.
Noel grinned as he saw his friend’s reaction. Tucking away the last of the cookies on his plate, he looked at his watch, “oh, look at the time…gotta hit the road if I don’t want to be late for work.”

I wouldn't mind putting my stories on there as well, but I have a concern...Can someone copy your story off there (copy and paste onto their computer) and steal it to possibly claim it as their own? I worry about that when it comes to sharing my work on the internet...

The morning sun cast its gentle rays upon the motel room where Rachel and her team diligently analyzed the data collected from their expedition. The air buzzed with the hum of scientific instruments and the focused chatter of the geologists engrossed in their work.
Unbeknownst to Rachel, Mayor Evans made his way to the motel, a tray of steaming Starbucks cups in hand. He entered the room with a warm smile, introducing himself to Rachel's team and engaging in friendly conversation. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose, as the mayor effortlessly charmed those around him.
Just as Mayor Evans settled into the flow of conversation, Rachel emerged from the back room, her eyes widening in surprise as she spotted him. A flicker of wariness passed through her, her defenses instinctively rising. She hesitated for a moment, uncertainty clouding her features, before retreating back into the safety of the back room.
Mayor Evans, undeterred, followed her without missing a beat. He closed the door behind him, his voice a mix of concern and determination.
"Rachel, we need to talk," he said, his tone firm yet laced with genuine care. "I can see that my presence caught you off guard, and I understand that it's not easy for you to let someone in. But I'm not going to back down because I care about you and what we can build together."
Rachel crossed her arms, her gaze guarded as she met the mayor's unwavering stare. Her voice carried a hint of defensiveness.
"Mayor Evans, I didn't expect you to come here. My team and I have work to do, and I prefer to keep my personal and professional lives separate. It's just easier that way."
His expression is a mix of frustration and determination. His voice held a tinge of exasperation as he laid his cards on the table
"Rachel, I understand your need for boundaries, and I respect that. But you can't keep shutting me out, pushing away any chance of connection. I've been patient, but there's a limit to how much I can let you distance yourself. I want to be a part of your life, to support you and be there for you. But it can't be one-sided."
Rachel's defenses softened, a flicker of vulnerability shining through her guarded exterior. She lowered her gaze for a moment, her voice carrying a hint of resignation.
"I... I've spent so long focused on my work, on protecting this town. It's become my identity, my shield against vulnerability. I'm not used to someone like you, someone who wants to break down those walls. It's scary."
Mayor Evans took a step closer, his voice filled with gentle reassurance. "Rachel, I understand your fear. But sometimes, the scariest things are the ones that lead us to the most beautiful moments. I want to be by your side, to support you, not just as the mayor, but as a person who cares deeply about you. Let me in, even if it's just a little."
Rachel met his gaze, her eyes shimmering with a mix of apprehension and longing. The tension between them hung in the air, a delicate thread waiting to be pulled.
After a moment of silence, Rachel nodded, her voice soft but resolute. "Okay, Noah. I'll try. I'll try to let you in, to let myself be vulnerable. But please understand that it won't be easy."
Mayor Evans reached out, gently placing a hand on Rachel's arm, a silent gesture of understanding and support. "I know it won't be easy, Rachel. But I'll be patient, and I'll be here every step of the way.
