    What Would You Do If It Happened To You?

    My Sim was at work when his brother paid a call on his wife. Being a holiday, she offered a Toast. Next thing I saw, he took both of her hands in his and kissed them! (Yes, I have the picture.)

    Later on, after my Sim got home, he also gave a holiday Toast to his wife. She got a strange look on her face and then she gave him a worried look. I think she decided to tell him just what had happened. At least as the little scene played out it looked so to me.

    Now, I'm in a bit of a quandary. While the wife sent her brother-in-law home immediately afterward and nothing more came of it, (except she was now very Flirty and when I checked their relationship bar a very tiny sliver of pink showed up). :open_mouth: She's been married to her husband for a long time and up to this moment, she's never entertained flirty thoughts about any other Sim.

    What would you recommend her husband do about it?

      Kissing someone's hand is hardly something to make a big deal out of.

      Let it go, this time but tell the brother's wife if anything more happens. It may have been a "got caught up in the moment" sort of thing.

      No, but it made her flirty and that's what troubles me. Doesn't sound so very casual to me. Makes me wonder what's been going on in between the screens, you know?

      She's programmed that way, sims always respond positively to flirty socials. Guidry flirted with my sim's wife and it made him very sad. She wasn't too bothered by the flirting, but her husband was sad for a long time. I had to delete Guidry and it took a long time to get them to a point where he wasn't getting those betrayed and sad feelings.

      It may be she kept it under her hat, so to speak. I just found her facial expressions rather curious. LOL

      I'd say the brother's wife deserves to know that her husband did. Also, I think your Sim needs to sit down and have a little chat with his brother. Maybe he'll apologize and blame it on the juice or maybe he'll confess to having feelings for his brother's wife? Sometimes, these random moments can lead to some fun storylines.

      This is why I love my Sims being autonomous, it really brings out the roleplay in this sandbox game. If I was the husband and I found out about this, I'd go for option one, make a pass at the sister in law for payback, create maximum drama, and see how it all kicks off. I'm sure an epic tale of love, betrayal and revenge would develop, worthy of a Soap Opera.

      If it were in my game, the husband would have no say in the matter because he didn't witness the event. It happened to the wife, so whatever her character would do, she should do. If she tells her husband about it, then sure, he could have some say in it. Otherwise, it would be up to her to handle it however she sees fit.
      FYI: Just because you can see my signature, don't assume that I can see yours.
      Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off. ;)

      Wife should tell husband, they should have a laugh together, reassure one another and THEN forget it ever happened.

      ETA: Unless your sim has certain traits...
      "Make a pass at brother's wife" fits if your sim is Evil
      "Beat the stuffing out of brother" fits if your sim is Jealous, or possibly Hot-Headed

      Sure it's under the romance interaction. Her husbands brother was trying to get to the woohoo part. Most married sims to my understanding will talk romance, but when it comes to touching they refuse you. Maybe she was in that minority that wanted a little spice in her life.

      No, his brother is the hot-headed one. LOL I like your ideas and am leaning toward the forget the whole thing.

      Could be, too, that after having her children, she was flattered that another Sim still found her attractive? So many possibilities I have been handed. LOL

      The 'injured' brother is already maxed on FAME. His brother (the Perp) is a Judge, so how would that look? Oi!

      Problem with that is I've already got a different storyline going. This little autonomous move by his brother, has thrown me and my storyline for a loop!
