Hey folks, stepped in and locked this one. Threads are locked or removed for a number of reasons, most usually due to rule breaking. Even if the thread topic itself did not break the rules if the discussion within has gotten severely out of hand the thread will be dealt with in a number of ways.
Sometimes that means the thread will be cleaned up, however this is a time consuming measure and it isn't always possible for us to do given the sheer volume of posts/threads and bandwidth of our team so as a result they may instead be locked or removed depending.
Please know that this isn't to prevent discussion on a topic. A quick review of our forum thread topics will show that we are very much open to hearing and facilitating your feedback as long as it's shared within the forum rules.
This is instead done to limit the acceleration of rule breaking and inappropriate engagement that's taken place within the community. It also allows the moderation team more time to look over the thread thoroughly and action what is necessary.
If you have any questions regarding a moderation action on a thread you've posted or a moderation action on yourself you're welcome to dm myself, @EA_Joz or @EA_Leeloo
