    Yup, I finally purchased Island Living today, it is 50% off.

    I had to do a matrix in Excel comparing Island Paradise from TS3 with Island Living in TS4 for me to get over the fact that ocean swimming is not open to all worlds; I particularly wanted it in Windenburg and Brindelton Bay, the beaches in those packs are awesome and I really was looking forward to the Sims I placed on beach adjacent lots would have access to the ocean for swimming. And I was really chagrin about no resorts. I loved playing resorts. I purchased the casino and made a casino resort. Sadly, I could not get my ShowTime stage to work at my casino resort. But everything else worked fine.

    But anywho, after seeing the comparison in the matrix I decided that the new things added to Island Living were worth it and am plum excited it went on 50% off sale today. -- Late B'day present, early Christmas present.

      I could get IL but I heard there’s a bug where the game crashes or doesn’t save in a lot in that world...so I’m not sure if I should get it

      Haven't heard of this bug. Play a lot in Sulani myself and saved there and havent had any troubles. :o

      I think it’s the biggest lot in there, so just be careful.

      I also haven't had any issues playing in Sulani, which I do often on every lot.

      I haven't had any issues with that lot. It's one of my favorites to play on!

      There should be a thread on that somewhere here as a lot of folks were complaining. The bug thread may be a place to look as well. Issues like that are keeping me away from it. That and all the other reports of a meh pack.

      Happy late birthday and early christmas as well! :joy: I already have all EPs. Should have waited for a sale with Island Living because a beach pack never was a priority for me. I just bought it to cheer me up. I didn't have any issues with it either.

      I bought Cats and Dogs yesterday only to find that everything is 50% off today. I contacted them and they said that they do not have the ability to change pricing. Has anyone received price protection? Either with a partial refund or the amount in credit toward a new package? Thank you.

      Are only some packs half price? EPs and GPs show as half price but most SPs don't for me.
      Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven.

      @Mariefoxprice83 I think so, but keep your eyes out. Last year around Christmas (that's when I got TS4 for $5) they usually go on sale for 50% off. In my game only spooky stuff is 50% off, but the other SPs may go on sale too in Nov, Dec.

      Cool, thanks. I was planning on taking a look around Black Friday. I want Laundry Day for when I do historical gameplay. :)

      @Yoyogi my favorite EPs are Seasons, Get Together and Get to Work. I don't play retail stores (mega hard), but I like to build them and have my sims shop at them. I have a florist and bakery and a clothing store I created (I modified existing builds but my sims made the baked goods and flowers). They are available for download. You can create all kinds of clubs and events with seasons and get together, so I think those three packs really extend your game play.

      I'm really tempted to buy Get to Work since it's the only expansion I still need, but I also don't know if I should wait for a better deal or not...
      I think I'll get Spooky Stuff though.

      This sale it's only Spooky Stuff and Vampires out of the GPs and SPs. There will possibly be a Black Friday sale too, though. And sometimes the SPs drop in price randomly (I got Cool Kitchen in February for 4.99).

      @Felicity1169 I've only seen 50% off and bundles discounted. I've never seen deeper than 50%, but I've only been looking for 10ish months.

      You can find most packs even cheaper than on origin. Right now it even beats the origin Halloween discount price.
