We got the bowling alley, coffee shop and comic book store. Each was geared towards one of the social groups that your sim was forced into.
Now I'm a little upset I missed the comic book store!
I forgot about the groups though and I didn't like that idea back then and I'm not sure I like it now. If I could find this dirt cheap then I would probably add it into my game, I still TS3 from time to time.

I don't see them having those groups in this version. I think they gave us the ability to create our own groups in GT. But I do want the comic book store. Plus I'd like a comic book artist/writer freelance career where you sim can write/draw a comic book and sell it like a novel.

Well there you go peeps. Now that we have Toddlers, Pets, Seasons, Stairs and University, I wonder what are people going to complain about on every TS4 post?
My bet is Farming and possibly Cars (lol) still.
@AlanSims ...You comment is so lol and so true. Human nature. So, excited because I just want a school system in my game, then farming.
I am an optimistic guy so .. I am more excited for the chance they will bring us (MAYBE) stuff related to city living that they left out, like working cars or maybe bus stops or Bus Pick up stations...cos hey my sim needs a way to go the university, haha he can't walk that way right? :P

Or Photobooths. Photobooths should have come with City Living.
I better hope that will all that glorious world scenery, the campus word is the size (with the number of lots) equivalent to Magnolia Promenade. Simmers' toasters that are run with all/few DLC will fry up.
Also, because of the capabilities that been shown in City Living, "Discovering University" will have dorms (plural, if engine limitation are generous enough) be accessible through loading screen. And this could be problematic, since for the players it will be irritating to transition between loading screens, just for playable Sim to take an angry poop and get back to their room in between. This is more concerning, knowing Maxis will choose to not give the freedom to rearrange furniture from the player's sandbox tooltip. My suggestion for a remedy would be to provide bladder-refilling amenities (bathroom stal- oh I mean toilets) IN the bedroom of the dormies', so they not not end up having accidents. Another doable alternative would be to make it unfurnished and leave out complex objects (such as doors stairs), otherwise that may task any machine. Of course, you'll need to leave customization turned on so that a game changer can finish off the build.
Next thing, unpopular opinion, but things like open elementary and high school should be saved for another pack. That might take resource to develop features that they know will love. Such as Simder (Tinder), a pretend dating app that will put Sims on Flirty mood and give them a random acquaintance of relationship 0%. Or maybe an urber, where Sim will leave the screen to enter a personal 'taxi' to appear to chosen destination.
Last, but not least, the emphasis on University should revolve around the students partying a lot rather than studying. Every person I know that went to college procrastinated and hated doing such things. University was also boring in the two previous games. We should loosen up and make the focal point of the pack easier to achieve. Classes by Sim students should be attended four days per week to allow them to earn a degree and the diploma. Having the study and doing assignments would take up the fun and engaging experience of playing the game. I don't think this would bring anything immersive to the game.
Other things I would like to see (objects) in said expansion/game pack:
* A murphy bed that's non-lethal, or the chances of being crushed is low to almost never.
* A vendor machine that dispenses school supplies (e.g, note books) instead of junk snacks and energy drinks.
* A mini-fridge that's no different than regular refrigerator.
* Anything but a juice keg, because that's passive game-play and may not be fun for younger generation of players below 13. It's different than having a juice bar.
I know that this isn't a popular opinion, but I hope that they add the Simsbots as a achivement for the science subject.I never got the oppornunity to use then on the Sims 3,so If hope that they decide to add them
I am glad you guys pointed out that this was the description for Sims 3 University Life! I was getting really upset by how virtually every line mentioned something the game already has! I can't wait to read the actual description and see the trailer! I hope for LOTS of new gameplay! They need to make it an actual EXPANSION and not shallow like Island Living.
Ok sorry guys, I did not even get a notification from all the comments here. I know it was a silly question, but I also found the description so amateurish for a website that is so high rated. Never the less, this is what I found on a Dutch website and translated:
It is mostly speculating, BUT there is one part that seemed factional that I found most interesting. You will find it highlighted:
The Sims 4 university opens a new chapter for YA and older and everything in between.
De exact content of this expansion is yet unknown, but from the title we can assume that your sims can attend a university life en also follow classes and other study material.
Of course it is expected that your sims will be busy with many other activities that go along with the university like dating, extra's outside studying, going out and dine out. After sims signed up for university, they have to choose one of the six main subjects to do an exam.
I mean, after all.. WHY would they type something like this on their website...

Thank you for translating. Still sounds like Sims 3 University, though.

I got the majority of my DLC here.

Thanks for that! I might complete my TS3 collection now!

im hoping there would be extracurricular activities like journalism and publish school papers and drama. that'd be fun

Never thought about it but this would be fun as an active career!
Also, add soritories and education for all ages.
