except for a lot of creators have said that their content was put on that site without their consent and as it's behind ads, the people running SimsDom are making money from content they have no claim over.
Pose Player didn't need updating this time around.

Sadly, tumblr. I hate that website. But if you don't listen to the people's personal stuff then the CC is the best. Just start following someone and you'll find others. My list is too long to post.
I follow my favorite cc creators on Tumblr. I found most of them through Pinterest or Lana CC finds.
I also use simsdom, modthesims, and thesimsresource.
I love coming here https://love4sims4.tumblr.com/ Somewhat as Lana cc finds she has updated her finds including the mermaids found nice tops for my mermaid starfish kind but yup, good options that this site.
The ones I really like/love:
1. There are many talented creators over at TSR for the alpha type cc mostly but some maxis match too. From there, the creators I can't live without:
a. Helsoseira: clothing with a goth(ish) flair
b. Serenity-cc: great clothing meshes
c. Laupippi: beautiful trendy clothing
d. Belal1997: Amazing meshes and nice clothing
e. RemusSirion: Alpha makeup that looks perfect on sims in game as well as some clothing that works for the HQ mod
f. ScreamingMustard: Makeup! Gorgeous makeup
g. ShakeProductions: Great meshes and beautiful clothing
h. MJ95/Madlen: Shoes, glorious shoes!
i. Lillka: Almost exclusively children and toddler clothing. Gorgeous and sweet items.
2. Sims 4 Nexus -Loads of kids stuff! its sort of hard to navigate because of the way cc is laid out on the page but there's some beautiful and unique stuff there
3. Elliesimple Store - The person who owns this is very talented and I see great quality even in the stuff I don't find to my taste. Without using her patreon though, many items here are ad fly. You an bypass the adfly by going to Simdom and searching Elliesimple though. They still get paid I think from Simdom? Without the adfly.
4. Marigold at their web page - I used to avoid it mostly, because I don't do ad share sites but they've recently removed ad fly from most of their stuff and added a patreon.
5. Kijiko catfood - This person does't have a ton of things but what they do have is amazing. If you don't use them already, I highly recommend their 3d eyelashes. They attach from the eye glasses category and look beautiful. The skin details version is just as beautiful but conflicts with certain other accessory cc items from the rings category so if you like rings or most fingernails, I'd choose the eye glasses version.
6. Simblr's over at Tumblr- there are just too many really great Maxis Match creators there to name, but if you go to tumblr and type on the search Sims 4 cc you'll have more pages than you can count.
7. Lumy- I can't overstate how good their clothing and shoes are. They do a lot of accessory clothing-which I do not use. There's nothing at all wrong with the accessory clothing, its beautiful.. I just don't use accessory items very much.
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.
100% from ModtheSims. That site really spoiled me when it was MTS2, and I've gotten so used to just browsing from it I don't bother looking elsewhere. I don't have the time I did when I was a kid with a dozen content sites I checked daily (WellDressed Sim, 7 Deadly Sims, All about Style, etc...) Although I would be interested in seeing what else is out there!
I need to know too. And a good unzip software that's free. If anyone knows please let me know. I really like Urban hair and lip gloss, lashes, tatts, shoes and clothes. Thanks somebody
I usually just go to tumblr and search the ts4cc or ts4mm tags. I also like lilsimsie's cc finds blog (can't post a link because I'm new but it looks like someone else already did).
I get most of my contemporary clothes on TSR. It's hard to find exactly what you want, so it's easier to just browse everything in a certain category instead of searching a specific word when it comes to clothing. Then when you find an artist that has something you like, go to that artist's page and see if they have more things that are your style. That method has worked for me.
I get majority of my cc from https://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/browse/category/sims4#
You look by category, male/female, child, toddler, teen to young adult on the Sims Resource which is great. I also will Google and visit other sites when I'm looking around.

Generally, I make my own cc because I know it won't out date unless I stop making it. Though I do tend to use a lot of https://sims4nexus.tumblr.com and some other modders works. Mostly hair and skin because I hate making hair and skin.

I've used 7zip for years.
Me too. 7zip has always been a good program and zipping files is very easy.

It’s super easy to use and it gives you cc from all over the web.

7-Zip is your best bet on PC. I used to use The Unarchiver in my Mac days.

Here are some TSR artists I have cc from:
https://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Birba32/ (has 5 pages of male clothing)
https://www.thesimsresource.com/members/devilicious/ (has 3 pages of male clothing)
Also, you can find some kids clothes and hair at this other site: https://birkschessimsblog.wordpress.com/category/clothes/kidsdress/page/1/
On EA forum Stories and Legacies board and on QueenOfMyshuno.tumblr.com

I have been finding Maxis match hair (don't like alpha hair) at https://www.simsdom.com/en/downloads/the-sims4/hair-female I avoid cliking on anthing with adfly or similar because it take a lot of effort to open the download.

@luthienrising I didn't know that was you. xD
