Worked on an old Sim that I've had for about a year now. Her name is Ava Sinclair-Goddard and was the first Sim I posted to the forums. Her old story is still posted here on the forums but she is now mostly CC free. Her new story is a combination of her old story and her daughter Brittany's Ultimate Sim Challenge story.
Cycling across the islands, avoiding school, Daryl found an old houseboat. And dared to sail it for a few meters because it seemed to belong to nobody. And back, without even ramming into the jetty. That's where I just left him, a dream is born.
...but if the non mod way works as well I’ll choose that. Going to do some more googling to check if there won’t be any unwelcome issues attached. Thanks.
One of my favorite ways to start a game is with a household of a child, a mother and a grandmother. I marry the mother off to someone in town or just move her into a boyfriend's house leaving the grandmother and child in the active household. By keeping the mother in the game the grandmother-granddaughter relationship is preserved, otherwise they become just housemates. I have the length of the child life cycle to be 7 days and the length of elderhood to be 7 days so I usually use Matercontroller to set the grandmother's age to be a few days before she becomes an elder. That way the child is a teen before the grandmother passes. If you don't want to use any Mods then just give the adult grandmother a birthday cake a few days before the child will become a teen.
I have had no problem with the teen living on her own. I've also done this with a grandfather-grandson household. The teen inherits the house, money, garden, etc and continues going to school. I don't think you can move them into another house though.
@cwaddell Thanks, that's all I needed to know! Great, so it will work then. He's going to stay on his houseboat till he's a YA so that won't be a problem.

It was natural, no cheats used

I heard movement downstairs and found a townie making use of the teppanyaki grill at the base camp. He made outstanding quality Jumbo Shrimp so I quickly dragged the leftovers into the fridge for my sims
Together with Jeanne she takes violin lessons with Monsieur Karajanian. The artistic and impulsive master of music is not very patient. He speaks English with such a thick French accent she hardly understands him at all and maybe he thinks he has to mime to illustrate his words. But the exaggerated grimacing and wild gesturing that makes Jeanne laugh scares Taïga a bit.
Louis not only plays the piano but is an excellent student, a good athlete and he is really charming and fun to be around. The girls hang on every word he says.
