What version of Windows do you have 7, 8, 8.1, 10.
If you have Win 10 did you upgrade to 1709 and if so from which version 1607 or 1703.
I remember when my computer updated from 1607 to 1703 that when I uninstalled the Sims 3 and tried to reinstall it the game wouldn't load up anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens when updating to 1709.

i haven't ungraded windows 10 at all at least i don't think i have. I honestly have no idea on that one

Well Microsoft in their infinite wisdom won't really give you a choice on it.

Use the Win icon on your key board for this
Win+R a little window should popup then type winver and then hit Ok and that should bring another popup that give you information on which version you have something like
    Microsoft Windows
Version 1709 (or 1607 or 1703 depending if it upgraded)
I'm just a little bit crazy LOL
Okay actually I'm totally and completely nuts LOL :p

I'm so disappointed, nothing has helped so far. The game is still crashing and I'm still getting DASMX86DLL.DLL error

You need to update your video driver . http://nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Are you using vsync? Is your fps capped at 60?

Have you cleaned your tower of dust? Have you had any heating issues with this computer?

you do have an older processor. Did you add the GTX 950 to this computer? What is your power supply? Did you upgrade your power supply when adding the GTX 950?

I was using vsync, I had it on but i placed it back to adaptive

Have you tested to make sure it's working? use cheat testingcheatsenabled true, hit enter and then use cheat fps on . Your Fps will show up in the upper part of the screen while your in game. Does it read 60?

i can't get in game cause the it crashes before the window pops up but if i getting working then I will certainly do that.

You might have a bad save. Have you reset your game? Documents folder, Electronic arts folder, The sims 3 folder. Pull your sims 3 folder to desktop, start your game it will generate a new clean vanilla sims 3 folder. Will your game start or does it crash?

I have no saves or nothing in game, i just click play in origin and it instantly crashes, right now im repairing the game but i don't think it will help.

Pull the sims 3 folder to desktop anyway and generate a new sims 3 folder. If this is a new install something may have downloaded incorrectly.

I'm wondering if something is getting "lost in translation" here.

@BrittanyChick22 - I don't understand why you keep uninstalling and reinstalling (this means the entire game program and its EP/SPs). We have asked you many times if you could please pull your TS3 folder out of Documents and let the game spawn a new one. Not remove stuff from the existing one. This is called a Factory Reset or alternatively the Clean Folder Test. We cannot tell if you have tried this. Although there could be more than one thing going wrong at a time, the point is to see if we can isolate the problem to your game folder as opposed to the program install, one does not refresh the other. And you should have no mods in at this point (a clean game folder won't have them anyway) because it's important to be able to get the game started up and running properly, then the fps rates checked, without adding more potential issues to the mix.

As some examples of what can go wrong with continuing to have even (usually) helpful mods in play, NRaas Cupcake will crash the game on startup every time if the EA Store Bakery set is not installed or is failing to load. NRaas MasterController will crash on startup if the MC Progression module is in place but the StoryProgression base mod is missing. I'm sure there are other, non-NRaas combos that can do this too. These kinds of things need to be examined separately, not at the same time that we're having trouble trying to get the game to startup at all.

But sure, if you are already uninstalling then go ahead and pull the Program Data in between that and the reinstall. Or afterwards if it's too late to do it beforehand.

And again, the dll error is meaningless. That will appear on every crash log and is not the cause of the crashing or the problems you are having.

We also aren't hearing if you have applied the suggestions noted here for those with the Win 10 Creators Update. Yes, you do have the Windows update, we can see that from your dxdiag report. Your computer would not have shipped with it, the update is very new.

@ScottDemon - I'm very sorry, but if you aren't going to read the information a player has presented or look at their dxdiag when it has been provided, then it's probably a good idea to refrain from trying to help. We can see that the player is on Win 10 and build 1709. I think we have to assume it updated to that, not that their computer shipped with it.

Of course we wouldn't know which build they updated from, that I suppose is a valid point, but I'm not sure I would know how to figure that out after the fact myself without slogging through a lot of Win Update history and systems logs.

I bought the computer with the GTX 950, no I don't believe I had had any heating since my pc has a really good fan that keeps it cool.

I did more digging , your motherboard and processor came out around 2012 so the GTX 950 card was added to the computer much later. The GTX 950 card came out in 2016. Did you buy this computer used? It looks that way if you did not upgrade the video card yourself. If someone advertised this computer as new, it's not new. The hardware is probably used and they upgraded the video card?
@chesterbigbird input please. DxDiag is on first page. Thanks

Is this your first time playing the sims 3 on this computer?

also to respond to your other post as igazor mentioned above me, there is no need to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the game when we advised you to just reset the game which is like doing a clean install without having to uninstall and reinstall.

you seem t be ignoring allot of questions igazor and I ask you. It's hard to help if you don't give us the correct information or ignore what we are asking.

@igazor since some of op's hardware is from 2012 I suspect the computer did not come with windows 10 originally.

I'm sorry but I did see the paste bin FYI build 16299 was also the number for an Insider Build for 1703 that's why I wanted the actual version so no it doesn't mean that they are necessarily on 1709.
But don't worry I won't bother any longer.

Just to confirm, you are now working with an entirely fresh, no-content added user game folder in Documents, correct? Don't be afraid to pull it out and try again, if there is no content of any kind in it now you wouldn't be losing anything.

You have addressed all four of the issues presented by the Creators Update and you are attempting to be and stay in full screen mode?

This is puzzling, but we will help you get to the bottom of it somehow if you stay with us.

@phoebebebe13 may be onto something with the unusual combination of an older system board/processor with a 2016 graphics card. It may have been a special combo done up just for Best Buy (and to relieve the manufacturer's warehouses of older stock, or something like that). We've seen this done before. She has asked a computer build specialist to take a look and who may have some follow-up questions or advice to give about this system's structure and power supply, when she gets a chance to do so.

If you have pulled the game Folder and uninstalled/reinstalled and run ccleaner then i will assume that it cannot be a actual game problem.
It can either be software conflicting with the game OR hardware related.
First off i would Run a clean boot
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
This will 90% of the time rule out a conflict with software/drivers.
Make sure windows is 100% up too date and look for any failed updates.
Next i would try increasing your virtual memory, as ts3 can use allot and sometimes windows cannot control it properly.
Right click The windows start menu and click settings, Then type "performance " in the search box of windows settings and Choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
In the performance window click the advanced tab and then click change in the virtual memory section.
Click custom size and type 5000MB for the initial and 12000MB for the maximum, hit OK.
General rule of thumb is 1.5MB times your physical ram should be your page file.. but sometimes windows can mess up and not handle it correctly.

Okay so update, i think it might have finally fixed the problem. I did what you guys said to do once the game installed and pulled out the sims 3 folder and put on my desktop, that one did have my mods folder in it and crashed giving me the DASMX86DLL.DLL error. So opened up the game again this time to start a fresh folder and it did not crash at all so that lets me know there was something in my mods folder the game wasn't liking but i still find it strange it was crashing when i didn't have mods at all. Anyway, I removed a few mods put the mods folder back in, ran the game and this time it did not crash. Hopefully this problem is gone for good but if it appears again at least I know what to do next time. Anyways thank you guys for your help.

The game folder itself can "go bad" especially after a reinstall (which requires patching, even if the patching is really handled silently along the way by Origin now) and need to be rebuilt, it's not always that its contents are suspect. That is why I along with others had asked from the very first response if you had done or could you try this. To perform a factory reset (or Clean Folder Test, same thing), the entire folder needs to be pulled out and a new one generated. It's not always just a matter of removing or rearranging its contents.

Glad that you now have a working game. :)
