Butler fee every time I enter my lot

In my game two twin girls just grew up to children, so I sent them to CAS to change their outfits. At the moment CAS was finished a big red -177$ was flying over the monitor. I tried it with their mother - the same. Is this new? Was this always so? Do we have to pay for new outfits now? Totally confused.

Exactly this, I just just noticed this when returning to my lot. Wow, that's an expensive butler! Is this a bug or by design??
Glad to know I'm not the only one, but wow yeah expensive butler! My butler appears on the road when my sims come back, too. It's almost as if we're re-hiring them
When my sim was at the karaoke bar my butler showed up in normal dress then left, so maybe that leans towards possible re-hiring?
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issues are still there.
Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder
If the issue remains after doing these things, it would be good to start a thread and post about the issue on the AHQ EA site.

I thought the $175 was only supposed to be once and then the rest would be added to the weekly bills?
That would be a poor design decision m opinion. And it makes no sense to do a design that acts like a bug.. incase.. well I will remain nice.
Could you try maid or gardener to see if you have the same issue ?

I don't know how it happened but my butler on one lot went through the $5,000 my Sims had in two or three days. Maybe it's because I was leaving the lot? they wound up not having enough to pay their bills. ETA: He never goes to bed so maybe he is working to long (by the hour) and it's deducting all their money?
Every few hours in my game. lol Or it seems but maybe it's the next day but he never sleeps so it's hard to figure out.
Well, I wanted to make a quick test with a nanny but that was a failure. The nanny didn't come to my penthouse (while the butler was there). I don't know if he/she was perhaps somewhere in the public space on the ground level.
However, after returning from CAS my Sim had to pay 175 $ for the butler and 60 $ for the invisible nanny. Bad service indeed ...
... and a additionally, the German-Polish hospital bug has no entered my main game: 3 complete freezes in a row on my home lot. I think I will have to wait for an emergency patch, the game has become unplayable.
EDIT: Going back to an older save for 30 minutes and resetting the ex-doctor sim solved the problem for now.
