i tried clicking on a baby to see how many days until she will age up then I realized I can't click on babies!
so how long do babies stay as infants and when do they age up??
In the Sims 4, The infants will only grow up as a child, if you click on the baby (when you are controlling an teen-elder) and click on "Age Up" that is an option on the baby's menu!
I think the number of days baby remains an infant is determined by the overall length of days you've chosen: Short, Normal or Long. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Sims studio thought it would be so much better to have babies magically catapulted from the bassinet, skip about a decade of aging, and turn into a kid! Absolute genius if you ask me....
Don't click on the baby itself, unless it's in the bassinet. Click on the bassinet.

Infant is a bit of a broader term in English anyway. A toddler could be referred to as an infant too. Infant can be synonymous with child too.
Dictionary.com definition:
1. a child during the earliest period of its life, especially before he or she can walk; baby.
2. Law. a person who is not of full age, especially one who has not reached the age of 18 years; a minor.
3. a beginner, as in experience or learning; novice:
So basically it could be a baby or just someone under 18. Usually used pre-teen though, but could easily refer to babies, toddlers or children.

thanks! that's exactly the answer I've been searching for >_< tysm!
Yeah, infant is another word for baby in (American) English. The American English term for what you're talking about is "toddlers".
It is what it is. It's used correctly in that language for an English game. So, What's the problem?
Edit: By the way, it seems different Spanish dialects refer "infante" as offspring of royalty or soldiers.
Here's a Wikipedia page:

So, it all depends on context. For sims4, English version, infant is English for the baby, yes.
