I've seen it. I just don't care.
Its kinda hard to ignore them when they post one letter responses a million times so you have to scroll past stupid workds and innapropriate pics
This forum will always be filled with trolls and Sonic doing the woohoo and no one being banned for posting crude stuff because of the moderators not doing much to stop it. Best to just accept the crazy. Embrace it even I've learned from experience that trolls and other bad stuff just go away over time. Don't stress yourselves about it. Now who wants some cookies? My treat!
What kind of cookies? I'm hungry.
Any kind you want!
I'll take snickerdoodles. Please and thank you.
Sure thing! There's no cookie emoticon so I'll just use this(*)
Ignoring them would go a long way. Even if they get banned, seeing all the hoopla about their previous visit makes them happy. That's the response they want. Now having said that, its just not going to be possible because way too many people frequent the forums and not everybody is going to be on the same page. My method is to calmly report them and maybe taking a break to get away from the forums for a bit. Maybe by then his sugar high might calm some. If I were running the forum I think I would be closing down account creation for a bit and maybe putting in some new rules, like accounts under 30 days old can not use custom avis and can only post every 5 minutes. I don't know much about IPs and VPNs, but if they could ban reliably by that it could at least slow the trolls down.
- No Swearing. Foul language will not be tolerated. Swearing via substitution of key letters with symbols is against the rules. (Example: If "horse" were a swear word and it was posted as "h****").
- No Flaming. No Trolling. Flaming is intentionally posting hurtful, insulting, or harassing messages to others. Trolling is deliberately posting sarcastic, off topic, or rude remarks in order to incite a fight on the boards. Take the high road and be polite. Respect others even if their opinions differ from yours. If you disagree with someone, you are free to do so politely, but please don't make it personal.
- No Spamming or Flooding. Flooding or spamming means posting disruptive numbers of messages, including posting the same message in multiple forums. This also includes "bumping" threads multiple times. "Bumping" a thread is when someone posts "bump" or anything similar in their thread to keep it on the first page of threads. Doing this once or twice is fine, but multiple times within a short period of time is considered spamming. Use your bumps sparingly.
