I just posted a pic of this girl in another thread but thought I would like to also share it with you since you have always shown an interest in what I do. This is Haedi. She is a 5th generation child and is descended from Leighton Sekemoto amongst other sims that I have placed in my town. She has since moved out and I am now playing my 5th generation heir, her twin brother Wezen.
With winter in full force, once again, it's a snow day. So, with everyone in the same house, Aria decides to spent a little time making her mom laugh. She just finishes telling Sun a funny story. Good thing Sun has a good sense of humor.
Maybe since Ning Shui targeted her last night, Min Wei goes to Daniel. She asks her dad to protect her. And like any good father, he tells his not so little girl he will. Of course, he just got caught in the last trap Ning Shui had set.
But she doesn't because Cuddles is right there with her.
With the snow coming down, they all head for the festival grounds. And who should Ning Shui meet but Grace, and Aria decides to shred the snow. Like I said, she's not as proper as Min Wei. Ning Shui asks Grace for a date.
At home, a day that Daniel and Sun probably never imagined would get there happens. It's also Min wei's birthday. Looks like Sun's little bao has finally bloomed. (bao means bud, as in flower bud for those who don't remember that one). I feel like that Gary Puckett song This Girl is a Woman Now should be playing in the background.
And then Min Wei goes upstairs and gets her new look. That dress looked pretty close to the one she wore as a teen, and I figured she'd still probably wear dresses. She also ended up with a photographer's eye. I don't know if Min Wei will get a job or even find a husband, but we'll see what the future holds. I was thinking of journalism for a job if I wanted her to have one. Or she just might stay home and watch over things there. Time will tell.
@Colorist40: At least it wasn't a challenge to a duel. Yeah, I'm glad he's getting one too. He'll be the heir you might say, so I'm really glad. Well, he is the firstborn, even by 2 seconds. They must be. Or part penguin. I've been following the other one, but thanks for letting me know.

27 today, and I don't feel any different really. I just can't believe that much time has passed.
George goes back home late after the party.
George recieves his report card the next day, and earns a B grade.
He whips up a quick breakfast.
Once again, another party. *Her name is actually Paris Vanderblit...or something. Not Penelope, I have no idea where I got that from.*
With three hours left before he has to go back home, George rushes to the party.
He meets this werewolf lady and get closer to level 8 in charisma. He also gains a Nerd level.
EEEK! Talk about fish lips! Good thing we didn't meet her early on!
He bumps into Leonard again.
However, he has to race back to his house very soon, and start packing.
"Home, here I come!"
Sioux races around the property, running off some tension before George's arrival.
In no time at all, George is back to pay his respects to his beloved grandmother, Salina.
George: "Hello again, Old friend! I told yo I'd be back! Were you on you best behaviour? Hmm? Good lad!"
George decides to go to the bar for a quick drink.
He chats with this guy, called Neil, who's mother just passed on. George soon makes a new friend and gets to level 8 in charisma.
George gallops back home, this time gaining another level in riding. I think it's about level 5 or 6. But he is more relaxed when riding now.
Christian chats a little with his friend at the funeral.
Hans and Sioux say goodbye to Salina. Sioux was for a fair while quite upset about the death, but mourning helped ease the hit from -50 to -20. Bartholemew was by far THE WORST I have ever seen with grief. He had -75. So even when he had the best in needs, he was still Depressed. His school work was heavily effected by it to the point that as he has 2 days until aging up, I don't think he'll ever get an A grade again.
George and Constance, his Aunt hang out a little while. Both the newborn kids, Carla and Brianne are toddlers now. I'll have to get Fransisca over to see them.
George reads up on cooking, getting to level 3. Now I can trust him to cook a meal without burning it!

I've been posting my stories in other threads dedicated to the stories and the Winfield one is directly linked in my signature while the other one is linked in the first post in the Winfield thread.
After her parents had left Nyx went to find her bedroom first. Like her dad had said it was at the front side of the second floor. As she entered though she was surprised to see a bookcase sitting inside the empty room. Confused she walked up scanning the shelves. No as she thought these weren't her books, they were older and worn with titles like "Restoring Old Items", "Art for the Mind and Soul", and "Piano: a Path to Enlightenment". But why were they here? Why had they been left. Suddenly she became curious. She started pulling books off of various shelves, she pushed them in, she pulled them out, she moved them. But nothing. She slipped her hand back behind the bookcase. Nope it didn't even seem to be attached to the wall. Just a normal bookcase.
She stared at the shelf in disappointment. She thought maybe it was one of those secret bookcase doors she'd read about in her books, but who was she kidding she thought, those were just ideas out of fiction.
She figured the previous owner had simply forgotten the shelf or hadn't felt like moving it. Either way she wasn't going to complain about having some extra books to read, even if they seemed a bit different from her usual tastes.
Pushing the bookcase out of her mind she finished checking out the rooms on the second floor. There was her room, her parents room the bathrooms, and the hall. Downstairs was the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, and another bathroom. After seeing all the rooms she headed to the porch where she remembered seeing a spiral staircase up to the balcony. Her earlier view of the ocean while crossing the bridge had been brief and she hadn't been able to get that good a look of it. She knew their new home sat on top of a cliff so she figured the balcony would probably get a really good view.
Once there she was floored. She'd seen pictures in books and heard people talk about seeing the ocean but that was nothing compared to the actual view. The sheer size of it and the way it stretched into the distance was amazing. She could stare at it for hours simply breathing in its magnificence.
As she finally turned away from the view though she noticed something strange. She had marveled at the houses size when they had arrived but now that she stopped and looked again it seemed as though it was too tall. Something just seemed off about it.
She went back down the steps to the backyard to get a better view of the house and like she thought the roof was much higher than it should be for two floors. She had already been in all the rooms and knew there were no stairs or ladders up, and she hadn't seen any hatches on the ceiling to designate a way to any kind of attic. She also knew from her tour that none of the ceilings on the second floor were any higher than normal.
Before she had a chance to think to deeply on it though she heard a car honk from the front of the house signaling her parents return.
A smile broke across her face. That meant it was time to go down to the city and spend the rest of the afternoon hanging out with her parents. While most kids would find the idea of hanging out with their parents unpleasant at the very least, especially by the time they hit Nyx's age. But Nyx actually enjoyed spending time with her parents. She and her mother had always gotten along, though Esmerelda's attempts to teach her to garden had never really stuck, and she had spent many afternoons back in Violet Falls fishing with her dad. She'd always heard kids talk about how annoying their parents were or how their parents dragged them on family outings but to Nyx those outings were always fun. Sure her parents annoyed her at times but she still loved hanging out with them. And this was no exception as she ran out to the car.
Nyx: So where are we going?
Delvin grinned
Delvin: Fishing, Bonnie mentioned there was a nice pond at a park next to the school. So I figured we could go fishing and while we are at it you could see where you will be starting your first day of high school tomorrow.
Esmerelda laughed
Esmerelda: Trust you to find a fishing spot before we've been here for a full day
Delvin: Hey Bonnie mentioned it, you can't blame me for taking note.
Nyx sat in the backseat laughing as her parents joked back and forth.
After they got to the park and Delvin pointed out the school he made a beeline for where he'd been told the pond would be. As he rushed forward Nyx fell back to talk to her mother.
Nyx: Hey Mom? Did you feel like our new house looked odd at all?
Esmerelda: Not that I noticed, why?
Nyx: I was wandering around it earlier while you and Dad were out and it seems to be really tall.
Esemerelda: Well it is a two story house honey.
Nyx: Thats just it. Dad said it was a two story house and I can't find any stairs or ladders that would lead to a third floor but looking at the height of the wall from the balcony and the backyard it looks like theres a third floor just without any windows.
Esmerelda: I don't know honey, everything I've seen about the house has said its only two stories. Lets ask your father about it over dinner. For now just relax and enjoy the afternoon.
Nyx nodded and ran up to join her father by the pond.
Later that evening at the restaurant Nyx brough the subject again, this time to her father.
Delvin: Yeah I noticed that as well when Bonnie first showed me the house. We looked around but there was no sign of there being a third floor or attic aside from the outside walls being oddly high. We ended up not worrying about it that much. The two floors have enough room for our family and the realtors had it priced as a two story so whether there is a floor there or not isn't that big a deal.
Nyx: What about the bookcase? There was this odd bookcase in my room, I thought it might have been a secret door but I couldn't find any switch or pressure plate on it.
Delvin laughed
Delvin: I actually thought of that as well but Bonnie and I moved it away from the wall, the thing is heavy and clearly hadn't been moved in a long time but it wasn't attached to the wall and their didn't appear to be anything odd about the bookcase or the wall behind it. We ended up leaving pushing it back where it was and leaving it there because with it's size it wouldn't have been able to get it out the door. Plus you like to read so I figured you might enjoy the books.
Nyx smiled and nodded.
Nyx: I am interested in reading them, but it is still weird that someone would leave it there, and that the house is so tall.
Delvin reached over the table and placed his hand on her arm
Delvin: Don't worry about it honey, if it was going to be that big an issue then I would have found somewhere else. I promise I won't let anything happen to you or your mom. Just relax and enjoy your life. Your only 14, you don't need to be worrying about stuff like this. Just enjoy your life, these years will fly by before you know it.
Nyx smiled up at her father
Nyx: Okay Dad
The rest of the evening went by normally with no more mention of the house or the bookcase. On the way home they picked up some sleeping bags since their stuff wasn't going to show up until tomorrow.
After her parents went to sleep though. Nyx lay awake staring at the ceiling. She knew her father was right and that it likely wasn't anything to worry about, but she was still curious. Why would someone build a three story house but only have two floors? If the house actually had three floors why would someone go to so much trouble to hide it? And what about the bookcase, why would someone own such a large bookcase only to leave it behind?
The questions raced through her head. Then she heard a sound. It sounded like humming.
She climbed out of her sleeping bag and went to check on her parents.
As she peeked into the room she saw they were lying there fast asleep, but she could still hear the humming though it was fainter. She walked back to her room listening closer to the sound, trying to determine where it was coming from. It lead back to her room and as she followed it she found herself in front of the bookcase as she pressed her ear against the bookcase she realized that the sound was actually singing. It was faint but she could just make out the words.

As she listened to the words she noticed the bookends sitting on the shelves. They were carved into the shapes of different orchestral instruments. In particular she saw the ones from the song.
She knew she should get her father before trying anything but curiosity got the better of her.
She reached out and took hold of the piano. As she touched it she realized it was connected to the shelf. She tried turning it and it she heard a click.
Nyx smiled to herself, she was onto something. She scanned the shelves and found the percussion bookend next, in the shape of a bass drum. She reached forward and turned it, another click. Finally she found the bookend for the string section, a carved representation of a cello. She firmly took hold of it and turned, another click this time followed by a groan.
She stood back as she watched in wonder. While no seams had shown the book case split down the middle as a chunk of it moved backwards opening up revealing a door.
As she walked through she saw a complex set of gears and wires on the back of the wall piece that had slid to the side with the section of the book case.
Next to it though was a set of stairs going up.
Nyx took a deep breath and headed up the steps. She could still hear the singing echoing down the steps.
As she climbed the sound got clearer and clearer. She peeked through the rails as she neared the top. It looked like a library of some sort, but an odd one. There were bookshelves but there was also a grand piano, an easel, paintings and a work bench.
As her gaze circled the room though the singing stopped, simultaneously so did her eyes.
Right in front of her, staring straight at her, was a ghost.
And thats it for this chapter.
Sorry it took so long to finish. I honestly can't say why it took so long (although the poem took quite a bit on it's own :P ) but at least it's finally done.

Funny you should mention Casper. It's not visible in any of this chapters pictures but I have a train set in the room in reference to Casper :P . I was setting that room up and I stumbled across the train set in buy mode and thought it was just too perfect to not add.
As to the ghost being good or evil you will have to wait and see
though it may be a bit before I can post new chapters as tomorrow it is back to finishing up classes for the semester so I don't know for sure when I will have time to spare.

I am sorry that I didn't get a run chapter up this week. I meant to but ended up spending all my writing time on Souls of the Suns. I am not going to neglect Run and will get a chapter up for it before I do more of SotS, also lol I just realized my new story title has the same initials as sealofthesims :P I swear that was not intentional.
Also since break ends today I sadly get to go back to class tomorrow and it will be at least a few days before I have time to write. Sorry to those reading my stories but I don't have a lot of say in the matter.
My sims visited the future 3 times in one simday. I did some testing. On the third time I visited the future, I found 4 Song families. But only 1 Song family was my families descendant family. Many of the other Song's have Andrew's haircolour, Andrew & Mira's eyecolour and Mira's skintone. I was surprised to find so many sims in the Song family. Even the boys in the different Song families, had some of the same features. Amazing!

The life of my sims. Elina & Don.
Okay I am going to be doing a third story once school finishes, though to clarify this won't be like my usual stories.
For this I will be legitimately playing the game. Which means aside from the first characters (and possibly their family) no editing or creating characters (outside of legitimate means like the mirror or dresser), no creating spouses, no cheats, just straight playing the game. The most writing I will actually do is character personality bios which I will create based on the traits they are given by the game or that I am allowed to choose. Aside from that I will just make little statements about whats going on.
As such this won't take much time away from my main stories and is going to be a side thing I do in between just to blow off steam. Also to clarify while this will be free play like Stray Kat was I maintain the right this time to reload due to unforeseen problems that would break the story.
So on this subject I have two questions.
1. Is anyone interested in this, if so I will post pictures here, if not I will just do it on my own and not post about it. I realize I already have two stories so I don't want people to be put off by me posting about too many stories. Feel free to be honest if you feel I shouldn't post about a third set of sims, I will take no offense.
2. If you are interested in me posting do you want me to create a character based off random generated traits and looks (other than outfits and hair I refuse to work with the games idea of good outfits and hair :roll: ) or do you want me to create a character personality and backstory myself for this. I have no real preference either way.
@thesealofthesims: Congratulations on Min's birthday. She looks stunning. Seeing all of that winter snow makes me want some homemade hot chocolate. Great update by the way!

I should have an update out in a few days. I do have a few pictures taken, but so far nothing too interesting has happened. The girls are only on their second or third day I believe. I'll probably play a little bit tonight if I'm feeling up to it.

To anyone else, Aria is talking to the air, and apparently she's telling the air her favorite food. I guess they have no imagination.

But she doesn't because Cuddles is right there with her.
With the snow coming down, they all head for the festival grounds. And who should Ning Shui meet but Grace, and Aria decides to shred the snow. Like I said, she's not as proper as Min Wei. Ning Shui asks Grace for a date.

He wants to skate with Grace, but Grace never followed. And so, it became the worst date they ever had.

Meanwhile, the big ones in the family gather for another snowball fight. Not sure who won.

Ning Shui also ends up spinning on the rink. Not very manly of him, but then again, he's not much of a man anyway.

And Aria gets herself some gingerbread. Watch out for that gnome though.

At home, a day that Daniel and Sun probably never imagined would get there happens. It's also Min wei's birthday. Looks like Sun's little bao has finally bloomed. (bao means bud, as in flower bud for those who don't remember that one). I feel like that Gary Puckett song This Girl is a Woman Now should be playing in the background.

The next day, Sun decides to waste no time in teaching Aria some of the Chinese songs she knows. She learned fast.

Aria also tells Sun about Cuddles. Not sure how Sun liked the idea, but I guess not all parents do. But I'm sure Aria will grow out of it.

And then Min Wei goes upstairs and gets her new look. That dress looked pretty close to the one she wore as a teen, and I figured she'd still probably wear dresses. She also ended up with a photographer's eye. I don't know if Min Wei will get a job or even find a husband, but we'll see what the future holds. I was thinking of journalism for a job if I wanted her to have one. Or she just might stay home and watch over things there. Time will tell.

Haedi has red eyes because she is also descended from Dragan Hemlock who was vampire in a previous game and he was descended from Beau Merrick, hence the red eyes. The eyes often get passed down for many generations as does his red hair.

thesealofthesims: The nemisis is Miss Overall's (I think hr actual name is Dani or something.) ex-boyfriend, so he is really upset with George. But at least now George has someone he can gain rebel points on with my fave interaction ever! I just love how George is all "HAH! Got ya!" I got a bottle of mixed fruit alcohol and a big box of chocolates. I did ask for GTA 5 but my mum forgot, however she said she'll pick it up tomorrow. Thank you!

I wish there was an update to stop that sort of thing, then I wouldn't force the kid to ignore the doll! Ning Shui's not much of a man. He certainly isn't mature enough! You got a case of the Age-up Bad Fashion too ! At least she didn't go bald!
FuzzySlipers45: Yeah, I prefer it when they pass on together too. I'm not sure with George but I guess he was trying to figure himself out, and now he's discovered his true sexuality? Dunno really. 27 today, and I don't feel any different really. I just can't believe that much time has passed.
George goes back home late after the party.
George recieves his report card the next day, and earns a B grade.
He whips up a quick breakfast.
Once again, another party. *Her name is actually Paris Vanderblit...or something. Not Penelope, I have no idea where I got that from.*
With three hours left before he has to go back home, George rushes to the party.
He meets this werewolf lady and get closer to level 8 in charisma. He also gains a Nerd level.
EEEK! Talk about fish lips! Good thing we didn't meet her early on!
He bumps into Leonard again.
However, he has to race back to his house very soon, and start packing.
"Home, here I come!"
Sioux races around the property, running off some tension before George's arrival.
In no time at all, George is back to pay his respects to his beloved grandmother, Salina.
George: "Hello again, Old friend! I told yo I'd be back! Were you on you best behaviour? Hmm? Good lad!"
George decides to go to the bar for a quick drink.
He chats with this guy, called Neil, who's mother just passed on. George soon makes a new friend and gets to level 8 in charisma.
George gallops back home, this time gaining another level in riding. I think it's about level 5 or 6. But he is more relaxed when riding now.
Christian chats a little with his friend at the funeral.
Hans and Sioux say goodbye to Salina. Sioux was for a fair while quite upset about the death, but mourning helped ease the hit from -50 to -20. Bartholemew was by far THE WORST I have ever seen with grief. He had -75. So even when he had the best in needs, he was still Depressed. His school work was heavily effected by it to the point that as he has 2 days until aging up, I don't think he'll ever get an A grade again.
George and Constance, his Aunt hang out a little while. Both the newborn kids, Carla and Brianne are toddlers now. I'll have to get Fransisca over to see them.
George reads up on cooking, getting to level 3. Now I can trust him to cook a meal without burning it!

Chapter 2- A Forgotten Past
After her parents had left Nyx went to find her bedroom first. Like her dad had said it was at the front side of the second floor. As she entered though she was surprised to see a bookcase sitting inside the empty room. Confused she walked up scanning the shelves. No as she thought these weren't her books, they were older and worn with titles like "Restoring Old Items", "Art for the Mind and Soul", and "Piano: a Path to Enlightenment". But why were they here? Why had they been left. Suddenly she became curious. She started pulling books off of various shelves, she pushed them in, she pulled them out, she moved them. But nothing. She slipped her hand back behind the bookcase. Nope it didn't even seem to be attached to the wall. Just a normal bookcase.
She stared at the shelf in disappointment. She thought maybe it was one of those secret bookcase doors she'd read about in her books, but who was she kidding she thought, those were just ideas out of fiction.
She figured the previous owner had simply forgotten the shelf or hadn't felt like moving it. Either way she wasn't going to complain about having some extra books to read, even if they seemed a bit different from her usual tastes.
Pushing the bookcase out of her mind she finished checking out the rooms on the second floor. There was her room, her parents room the bathrooms, and the hall. Downstairs was the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, and another bathroom. After seeing all the rooms she headed to the porch where she remembered seeing a spiral staircase up to the balcony. Her earlier view of the ocean while crossing the bridge had been brief and she hadn't been able to get that good a look of it. She knew their new home sat on top of a cliff so she figured the balcony would probably get a really good view.
Once there she was floored. She'd seen pictures in books and heard people talk about seeing the ocean but that was nothing compared to the actual view. The sheer size of it and the way it stretched into the distance was amazing. She could stare at it for hours simply breathing in its magnificence.
As she finally turned away from the view though she noticed something strange. She had marveled at the houses size when they had arrived but now that she stopped and looked again it seemed as though it was too tall. Something just seemed off about it.
She went back down the steps to the backyard to get a better view of the house and like she thought the roof was much higher than it should be for two floors. She had already been in all the rooms and knew there were no stairs or ladders up, and she hadn't seen any hatches on the ceiling to designate a way to any kind of attic. She also knew from her tour that none of the ceilings on the second floor were any higher than normal.
Before she had a chance to think to deeply on it though she heard a car honk from the front of the house signaling her parents return.
A smile broke across her face. That meant it was time to go down to the city and spend the rest of the afternoon hanging out with her parents. While most kids would find the idea of hanging out with their parents unpleasant at the very least, especially by the time they hit Nyx's age. But Nyx actually enjoyed spending time with her parents. She and her mother had always gotten along, though Esmerelda's attempts to teach her to garden had never really stuck, and she had spent many afternoons back in Violet Falls fishing with her dad. She'd always heard kids talk about how annoying their parents were or how their parents dragged them on family outings but to Nyx those outings were always fun. Sure her parents annoyed her at times but she still loved hanging out with them. And this was no exception as she ran out to the car.
Nyx: So where are we going?
Delvin grinned
Delvin: Fishing, Bonnie mentioned there was a nice pond at a park next to the school. So I figured we could go fishing and while we are at it you could see where you will be starting your first day of high school tomorrow.
Esmerelda laughed
Esmerelda: Trust you to find a fishing spot before we've been here for a full day
Delvin: Hey Bonnie mentioned it, you can't blame me for taking note.
Nyx sat in the backseat laughing as her parents joked back and forth.
After they got to the park and Delvin pointed out the school he made a beeline for where he'd been told the pond would be. As he rushed forward Nyx fell back to talk to her mother.
Nyx: Hey Mom? Did you feel like our new house looked odd at all?
Esmerelda: Not that I noticed, why?
Nyx: I was wandering around it earlier while you and Dad were out and it seems to be really tall.
Esemerelda: Well it is a two story house honey.
Nyx: Thats just it. Dad said it was a two story house and I can't find any stairs or ladders that would lead to a third floor but looking at the height of the wall from the balcony and the backyard it looks like theres a third floor just without any windows.
Esmerelda: I don't know honey, everything I've seen about the house has said its only two stories. Lets ask your father about it over dinner. For now just relax and enjoy the afternoon.
Nyx nodded and ran up to join her father by the pond.
Later that evening at the restaurant Nyx brough the subject again, this time to her father.
Delvin: Yeah I noticed that as well when Bonnie first showed me the house. We looked around but there was no sign of there being a third floor or attic aside from the outside walls being oddly high. We ended up not worrying about it that much. The two floors have enough room for our family and the realtors had it priced as a two story so whether there is a floor there or not isn't that big a deal.
Nyx: What about the bookcase? There was this odd bookcase in my room, I thought it might have been a secret door but I couldn't find any switch or pressure plate on it.
Delvin laughed
Delvin: I actually thought of that as well but Bonnie and I moved it away from the wall, the thing is heavy and clearly hadn't been moved in a long time but it wasn't attached to the wall and their didn't appear to be anything odd about the bookcase or the wall behind it. We ended up leaving pushing it back where it was and leaving it there because with it's size it wouldn't have been able to get it out the door. Plus you like to read so I figured you might enjoy the books.
Nyx smiled and nodded.
Nyx: I am interested in reading them, but it is still weird that someone would leave it there, and that the house is so tall.
Delvin reached over the table and placed his hand on her arm
Delvin: Don't worry about it honey, if it was going to be that big an issue then I would have found somewhere else. I promise I won't let anything happen to you or your mom. Just relax and enjoy your life. Your only 14, you don't need to be worrying about stuff like this. Just enjoy your life, these years will fly by before you know it.
Nyx smiled up at her father
Nyx: Okay Dad
The rest of the evening went by normally with no more mention of the house or the bookcase. On the way home they picked up some sleeping bags since their stuff wasn't going to show up until tomorrow.
After her parents went to sleep though. Nyx lay awake staring at the ceiling. She knew her father was right and that it likely wasn't anything to worry about, but she was still curious. Why would someone build a three story house but only have two floors? If the house actually had three floors why would someone go to so much trouble to hide it? And what about the bookcase, why would someone own such a large bookcase only to leave it behind?
The questions raced through her head. Then she heard a sound. It sounded like humming.
She climbed out of her sleeping bag and went to check on her parents.
As she peeked into the room she saw they were lying there fast asleep, but she could still hear the humming though it was fainter. She walked back to her room listening closer to the sound, trying to determine where it was coming from. It lead back to her room and as she followed it she found herself in front of the bookcase as she pressed her ear against the bookcase she realized that the sound was actually singing. It was faint but she could just make out the words.
"The music is the answer
as all good artists know
when you get lost when your mind is blocked
just listen to the flow
It starts with tickling ivories
the dance across the keys
as up and down the scales go
the sound is sure to please
Then the beat rolls in
the drums they start to pound

As she listened to the words she noticed the bookends sitting on the shelves. They were carved into the shapes of different orchestral instruments. In particular she saw the ones from the song.
She knew she should get her father before trying anything but curiosity got the better of her.
She reached out and took hold of the piano. As she touched it she realized it was connected to the shelf. She tried turning it and it she heard a click.
Nyx smiled to herself, she was onto something. She scanned the shelves and found the percussion bookend next, in the shape of a bass drum. She reached forward and turned it, another click. Finally she found the bookend for the string section, a carved representation of a cello. She firmly took hold of it and turned, another click this time followed by a groan.
She stood back as she watched in wonder. While no seams had shown the book case split down the middle as a chunk of it moved backwards opening up revealing a door.
As she walked through she saw a complex set of gears and wires on the back of the wall piece that had slid to the side with the section of the book case.
Next to it though was a set of stairs going up.
Nyx took a deep breath and headed up the steps. She could still hear the singing echoing down the steps.
As she climbed the sound got clearer and clearer. She peeked through the rails as she neared the top. It looked like a library of some sort, but an odd one. There were bookshelves but there was also a grand piano, an easel, paintings and a work bench.
As her gaze circled the room though the singing stopped, simultaneously so did her eyes.
Right in front of her, staring straight at her, was a ghost.
And thats it for this chapter.
Sorry it took so long to finish. I honestly can't say why it took so long (although the poem took quite a bit on it's own :P ) but at least it's finally done.

Funny you should mention Casper. It's not visible in any of this chapters pictures but I have a train set in the room in reference to Casper :P . I was setting that room up and I stumbled across the train set in buy mode and thought it was just too perfect to not add.

First off at everyone.
I am sorry that I didn't get a run chapter up this week. I meant to but ended up spending all my writing time on Souls of the Suns. I am not going to neglect Run and will get a chapter up for it before I do more of SotS, also lol I just realized my new story title has the same initials as sealofthesims :P I swear that was not intentional.
Also since break ends today I sadly get to go back to class tomorrow and it will be at least a few days before I have time to write. Sorry to those reading my stories but I don't have a lot of say in the matter.

The life of my sims. Elina & Don.
For this I will be legitimately playing the game. Which means aside from the first characters (and possibly their family) no editing or creating characters (outside of legitimate means like the mirror or dresser), no creating spouses, no cheats, just straight playing the game. The most writing I will actually do is character personality bios which I will create based on the traits they are given by the game or that I am allowed to choose. Aside from that I will just make little statements about whats going on.
As such this won't take much time away from my main stories and is going to be a side thing I do in between just to blow off steam. Also to clarify while this will be free play like Stray Kat was I maintain the right this time to reload due to unforeseen problems that would break the story.
So on this subject I have two questions.
1. Is anyone interested in this, if so I will post pictures here, if not I will just do it on my own and not post about it. I realize I already have two stories so I don't want people to be put off by me posting about too many stories. Feel free to be honest if you feel I shouldn't post about a third set of sims, I will take no offense.
2. If you are interested in me posting do you want me to create a character based off random generated traits and looks (other than outfits and hair I refuse to work with the games idea of good outfits and hair :roll: ) or do you want me to create a character personality and backstory myself for this. I have no real preference either way.

I should have an update out in a few days. I do have a few pictures taken, but so far nothing too interesting has happened. The girls are only on their second or third day I believe. I'll probably play a little bit tonight if I'm feeling up to it.
