History Book - more sim-global events?

I've made a History Book for my game. My backstory spans nearly 230 years and a full kingdom, and also including my Sims Medieval game as the first era, it got quite a long list of events and persons who formed the community. My History Book is here.

Most of it is nerdy stuff restricted to my kingdom, but I want to add some more "global" events. Especially if I can connect them to my geographic area, or some sim or organization that I played.

Can you think of any major SimNation event that formed the broad community?

I don't have Batuu, but already included a space project. I could add some more about Princess Cordelia as I played her House of Thebe (but she was not a central sim historically, so she is more mentioned with other events than her own). I could add something about alien abductions, not sure if there exist any specific alien lore? Were thee any huge riots taking place? Sim City is outside my kingdom, but huge events could be mentioned (my kingdom had its Year 118 revolution, btw).

So - if you know bits of he SimNation lore...?

    According to these infos:
    https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/SimNation
    https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Princess_Cordelia
''The Great Sloth Invasion was a disaster that struck Cordelia's kingdom and forced its residents to evacuate those who did not perish due to the invading Giant Sloths.''
''At the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century there was cultural change regarding the decline of religion and the rise of capitalism.''

Aliens already visited the Sims a long time ago, because we can found a fossil of a skull. But Aliens are not a common well know subject of everyday Sims, only scientist and some kidnapped Sims know the thruth.
Thank you @83bienchen for modding the game. Whims Overhaul is essential for my gameplay.

@Simmerville, I don't have any historical things to add to the conversation.

I just wanted to say, as I always do, I love the way you play your game. It's so involved and interesting. I enjoy reading your threads giving us peeks into your Sims world. I don't have the motivation to get that involved in my own gameplay but I really enjoy reading about yours.

There are all the Center Park plaques in San Myshuno. They commemorate events including the destruction by asteroid of the area where the Fashion District is now. I’ll update next time I play or someone else can 🙂

Thanks! I added a bit on the sloth thing, it always was quite unclear to me what it actually was, so I had to add some fantasy to the mix :) I already had Princess Cordelia born at a certain time, her house losing their kingdom while she was a child, but hey ho, I'll deal with some facts as possible myths. In my time line it's nearly 200 years since that invasion anyway :) Thanks for bringing it up!

Awww! Thanks for the inspiration! I love making stories, but I often wish I spent less time on my sim lore :)

Oi, thanks, I don't remember ever seeing those plaques around the city. I saw those in rental flats, but they seem quite limited. Please direct me to some of them.

They are all around the Myshuno Meadows area.

Scroll down to the History section to read the text from the plaques.

Here are the plaques. They're all in the Myshuno Meadows neighborhood terrain, not on the lot itself.
