Just made a 50's diner :p I'm pretty sure there are tons of these already, but I wanted to make one of my own :)

Zero CC and I did not use MOO when creating it (Larifari has inspired me to keep the builds download and user friendly). I never upload sims or lots that have CC in them (though sometimes I do use MOO, but it will be stated in the description). <3 The objects in the build are all Maxis!

@HowGreatThouArt The expressions on the faces of your sims are hilarious!

I downloaded your Lot and the chef's outfit was still in the uniform selection :D . Are those items from the scientist career? I've never seen them before, they are awesome. Can't wait to have a mad chef in my restaurant!! I'm trying to figure out which 4 build items it has removed... (I don't have the Spooky Pack, I'm guessing you do). Thank you so much for sharing your hard work.

There are so many fantastic restaurants people have made, we really are spoilt for choice. I want them all but have no room!

@elanorbreton Yes, it was probably the Spooky Stuff items. I think I had cheese eyeballs on the menu and maybe a few other Spooky Stuff things as part of the clutter... and I think I used some Spooky Stuff boots on one of the waitresses. 4 items isn't anything to worry about, though. They were probably posters, clothes, or menu items.

I'm so glad you enjoy it! <3<3 I totally agree, the restaurants I keep seeing in this thread and in the Gallery are jaw dropping. Some incredible creations are coming out of this pack, and it's so cool! Loving the variety and versatility.

This amusing exchange is the reason I removed the outdoor tables from my restaurant. LOL These were my very first customers, and my hostess bypassed the main dining area, walked past all 3 tables in the bar area, and headed outside to this rather lackluster location to seat these sims.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I was cracking up laughing. Especially when they received their meal and promptly vacated their seats to walk into the back alley area and pitch a fit about the trashcans being knocked down. They stood there eating their food and scowling at the trash. It was hilarious for me, but not something the average simmer would probably enjoy, so, I took the table they were sitting at, and the table closest to the archways out of the build. No one did any meandering after that during the play test.

    Good times! LOL

Lol. I wonder if the game is programmed to make them select an outdoor table as a priority, as all the restaurants my sims have visited they have always been shown to an outside table. Won't be good if we ever get rain in the game!

Glad it wasn't anything vital missing from Spooky Stuff. I looked around the Lot and couldn't tell what was missing so I guessed it was ok. (hoping that Spooky is in that 75% off sale tomorrow!!!)

@Sigzy05 I'm so sorry about your diner booths not working, it looked so great. I bet this bit works fine though:

I rather like that set up, as we used to have a McDonalds near us that had their booths like that.

I noticed that my original restaurant was a little too cramped, so let me introduce you Sophie's 2.0.

A somewhat ambitious build for me. I wanted to recreate a roadhouse restaurant in my town so here it is. The Roadhouse:

Maybe you guys can help me :D

I was liking this thing I threw together at first, but then when I stepped back and really looked at it, it now feels like something is missing and idk what to change to make it look better

I think the inside part is fine (it's just the kitchen and bathrooms); it's the outside part that's bothering me :/

Well, here's a new build I made :p I wanted to go for an Asian aproach in what comes to architecture, it's not perfect but I did what I could with what I had, which was actually very little XD Not even the roofs are perfect. :pensive:

I've never made anything steampunk before and really wanted to try it. So my restaurant is called Steampunk Train, and it's by Xenami.

Maybe you can add some kind of awning over the tables? With skylights to let the light in.

@jsn I think a few heat lamps/outdoor lighting and extra landscaping (plants, flowers, whatever you like!) would help fill in the empty spaces :)
