Depends. I like my beverages cold, unless I'm in a cold environment, and then hot is better. Baths and showers? Hot wins, no contest.

For gaming: Y-axis inverted, or not? I can only play with it inverted, but it seems a big division among people. It's even being studied for insights in neurocognition. So...are you an inverted-Y player or a standard Y player?

I'm not sure why but when the Y-axis is inverted, it really bothers me. But @Nushnushganay I'd be really interested to know the science behind the type of person that chooses one or the other!

Living with the Flintstones or the Jetsons?

Oh wow, two terrible choices rife with the worst of mid-20th-century sexism and stereotypes. The Flintstones are modeled after The Honeymooners, and therefore Fred Flintstone is the kind of guy I'd have to punch. But Wilma's nice if lacking in personality (modeled after the endlessly suffering Alice who puts up with constant threats of domestic violence from her boor of a husband, in the Honeymooners), and deserves better, and Barney and Betty are cool. But it's the stoneage, no thanks.

With the Jetsons, gross...do I have to really live WITH the family? George is a schmuck, his wife's a gold-digger, daughter's an airhead waiting to be promoted to golddigger, and the son is a momo waiting to grow up to be a schmuck. The dog and maid are cool. I wonder what I'd be living with them, as?! I'd be in the way and annoy them all as much as they would annoy me. But since there's technology, the Jetsons it is. Because of Rosie and Astro and tech.

PC games: first-person shooter, or building/sandbox?

Sandbox/ building. I like to do lots of different things in a game (which is why the Sims appeals so much) rather than just defeat an enemy, move to the next one, defeat an enemy, move to the next one... I get bored with regular routines.

I used to have a sandbox PC game called Startopia, where you had to manage an alien space station, employing different aliens, building facilities for them, etc. It was very entertaining (and had some quite witty scriptwriting too).

I forgot I was in X or Y for a minute.

Negotiation via talking or challenge to a duel?

In real life, most sane people would rather talk than accept a choice of kill or be killed. But I guess there's also "first blood" dueling. Or maybe duel with paintball and first splat. Talking is easier in most cases, but non-lethal, non-injurious duels sound like fun!

Harry Potter or Hunger Games

Harry Potter. Hunger Games reminds me of a very old scifi novel about the exact same thing: future dystopia in which young people throw their lives away in a deadly competition, for the entertainment of their society, hoping to be the sole survivor and thus win food and financial security for themselves and their families. The entire premise makes me want to vomit into my mouth. If anyone should be throwing their lives away for entertainment (which no one should), it should be the older people who allowed society to take such a vile turn in the first place, in order to spare their kids. But I guess it's a good metaphor for war.
