So... I have been trying to have Jane run into her sister or father randomly around town...On a school field trip to the police station Daddy was the tour guide!
Even though Constance had achieved her LTW she wanted to get promoted. She doesn't have too far to go before she reaches the top of the writing career. I hope she gets there soon, I have plans....
With Constance trying to mend the gap between her and her daughter things were going slowly. Now they communicate. Even if it is only through text messages.
Jane is lonely. Jane wants a boyfriend. Who better to try her moves on than her best friend and neighbor, Titus.
Off they went to the spring festival. How romantic right? It just happened to be love day..
Being impatient and socially inexperienced Jane jumped right in with a spur of the moment kiss
Titus immediately reciprocated. Jane was on cloud 9.
"This is so great!"
Then Titus kinda lost it for no apparent reason :-(
"What is wrong with you?! I have a girlfriend! Freak!"
"No no no no, I gotta go"
It was a really embarrassing afternoon and Jane was worried she may have lost her best friend. But look at this great egg she found! She left it on her mother's desk as a token of thanks for the tablet.
After a boring very loooong time I finally got a promotion. But I before that, I had to prove myself many times, bringing my boss a few articles, researches and I had even to write a book, my first book. She said I had a very good style so I was promoted to Automated Spell-Checker Checker. I didn't see much difference in my salary but, at least, I was now working in the office.

But I wanted more, much more than this. So I worked as hard as I could, thinking this would bring me somewhere. I would stay at the office, doing overduties, when everybody was for a long time enjoying their homes. This until my chef called me and said, "Look, Loulou, you are one my best employer. You show interest, you work hard, you have an excellent style, you're pretty... you have everything you need to be an excellent journalist, except for one thing: a degree. If you want to make progress in your career, go finish your studies. As much as I would like to, I can't promote you any further without a diplom."

This conversation made clear to me that I needed to find a way to go to university. Almost one year had passed since last visit of the mascot, since I failed the aptitude test. Although I knew I did a lot during this time, my whole body trembled only thinking on repeting that test.
He arrived next evening... the same guy as last time and wearing that same horrible outfit. We had a long conversation that evening. I was so scared that I started attacking him, defending myself almost before he could say a word. He apologised for leaving the wrong impression and almost begged me to try the aptitude test once more.

"I'm glad to see how much you have changed, Loulou! Your results on Communication are excellent! You've got +18 Credit Hours! But you achieved good results also on Arts and Technology. You may begin next Spring, that means, in two weeks. Please fill the form, using your phone or pc and be ready. You'll be picked up shortly before beginning."
Still... I didn't have that much money and I had a few things to prepare before leaving to university. But I took my best outfit and went to a place someone told me about. Of course, it was nothing compared to the places I used to go before but it was fun.

Soon I was leaving Bridgeport, with a suitcase in my hand, heading to the university. That was the most important - and the happiest - day of my life, after my parents died. There are no words capable to describe what I was feeling at that moment.

LittleMinx - I'm waiting until all the mods are updated before I update my game. Although I have heard the update went really well. I haven't seen the uproar I normally do after one.
Angldior and ELIROC - I am trying to mend things with them but it's taking a LOT longer to reach the top of the writing career than I thought so they barely speak to each other.

While Hal was in mid sentence, Jane turned away. Joan was home. So this is my twin, huh? She looks familiar, I guess I have seen her around school.
After a long awkward silence they both started talking at the same time.
Jane couldn't remember anything either of them said but there was an oddness about Joan. Something....sinister.
Hal mindlessly interrupted, not noticing the death look Joan gave him. He seemed ecstatic that Jane was there and wanted to tell her his life story. Like he needed to prove to her that he was a good guy and not some deadbeat that walked out on her.
He even gave her a tour of the house. Jane knew meeting him was the reason she was there, but now that Joan was home she was more interested in getting to know her sister.
Don't you ever stop talking?
She wanted to know all there was to know about the family life she missed out on. Joan was very tight lipped and had nothing nice to say about their father.
"Hey, at least you had a father. He seems like on okay guy. You have a big house and even a dog! My mother only yells at me. We don't even have a TV!"
"Things aren't as great here as you think. 'Grass is always greener'...or how ever it goes. I can't wait to get out of here. I have big plans and a law loving idiot like Hal is not going to stop me."
Constance needed to get out of the house. She wanted a fresh perspective to help get the creative juices flowing. But not a big change, mind you. She walked across the street to the library....
"Mom? MOM?"
Jane was not about to let such a rare opportunity pass her by
"How soon can you guys get here?"
She was going to throw herself a birthday party. There was even going to be cake!

"You're lucky I don't kick you out of this house right now! Get these people out of here."

"I think it's time for cake!" Someone called out. Just in time too, things were getting ugly
"Jane, honey, I'm sorry I over reacted. You're right. You deserve a party."

"Listen Jane, thanks for having me over. But just a word of advice, I wouldn't listen to a word that comes out of that woman's mouth."
"Yeah, she freaks out kind of easy. She does try sometimes. I just don't think she knows how to be a mom. Thank goodness I'm old enough I don't have to listen to her anymore. As soon as I have enough money saved up, I am OUT of here! Did you like your cake?"
Jane graduated Valedictorian and was voted Most Likely To Never Leave The House.
This looks like an interesting challenge to try I might give it a go.

Since Jane didn't have any LTW or Job aspirations I gave her the jack of All Trades LTW when she aged to YA. The day after her birthday she grabbed a paper and applied for the first job she saw: Kitchen Scullion at the local coffee house
With Jane at work most of the time, Constance really got on a roll with her writing
She met, and immediately hit it off, with a co worker, Cory
Cory's family is VERY rich and Jane would often spend time with him in their pool

What Jane doesn't know is that Cory is expecting a child with his girlfriend, JOAN!
Constance got the bad news that her one and only friend, Meadow, died. She went to offer condolances to Titus and Don. They didn't let her stay long..
Apparently Meadow was quite wealthy and as soon as she was in the ground, Don took Titus and bought the biggest mansion he could find
"I don't know how much longer I can stay here. I hope to get promoted soon, but even with some extra money the housing market is tough. I have GOT to get away from my mother!"
When she wasn't weeping and moping about she was sobbing over her computer
I luv what you have done with Joan and Jane. Joan actually looked like she would be the nice one! Her evil expressions crack me up. I feel so bad for Jane, her Mom did do her best, I guess. It just fell far short. I like Jane's look as a ya, she turned out beautifully! Wow, what a twist that Joan is expecting to the guy Jane likes! :shock: With Joan's evil streak this could get complicated!
I started the challenge, and it is HARD! LOL I didn't even get many pics to begin with as all my sim did was work. She just couldn't seem to keep her head above water at first! I didn't even get a good pic of her! So, I'll have to go back in and get a pic and then I will post some pics here. I'm really enjoying everyone's stories thus far!

The diner Jane works at is right across the street from the park. As she was leaving one night she saw her old BFF Titus.
"Titus! I haven't seen you since you moved! How are you doing? I'm so sorry about your mom. I've missed seeing you around"

"Dude! I wasn't coming on to you! I really missed you!"

It was so good to see Titus again! We had such a great time together!
The good times were interrupted when Cory called
"Hey Jane! Wanna hang out? I can meet you at your place"
Cory made Jane so nervous and giggly. She felt extra girly when she was around him. He's handsome, rich, and SO sweet.
"I was thinking that you and I should spend more time together. I had a great time hanging out at the pool the other day"
"Maybe we could be more than just friends? I like you a lot"

"Maybe we need to get out of these work cloths?"
That is, until she she came home one night to this:
"What are you doing here?! Why are you talking to my mother?! Do you have any idea how bad this is going to be for me??"
Cory slipped upstairs as Constance exploded at Jane! This is inappropriate! I will not have you bringing young men into this house! Especially THAT man! This is MY house. So long as you live under my roof you will live by MY rules!"
"But mom! I really like him and he's so good to me! It's none of your business who I spend my time with so butt out!"
Constance knew who Cory was because she knew Joan had just had a daughter by him. Jane still has no clue
But not everyday was a good day. She was getting bored with her job. She hated cooking for ungrateful, rude people. Not to mention the sexual tension that had begun between her and her boss, Maximus. Working in close quarters with that steamy hot redhead made her flustered.
So flustered in fact, she nearly burnt the whole place down
"I think it's time for a new job. Organ Donor? That sounds easy..."
Jane was so ready to start her new job. She got all dressed up in her scrubs and was ready to make eyes at the cute doctors when she realized it was the opening day of the Summer Festival. No work.
"Might as well enjoy it while I can"
Since it was just across the street from the hospital she walked right over.
"Titus! Mind if I join you?"
"Joan? Joan! OMG are you pregnant?!"
But Joan never heard her and kept right on walking
That night when Jane got home Constance called down to her.
"I know I'm getting old Janie, but I am still writing strong. Don't you think it's time you moved out? And don't think for one second I am going to pay for your living quarters"
"Don't worry Mom, as soon as I have enough for a down payment I will be out of here"
"And don't be like some hussy moving in with the next guy that comes along. I expect more than that out of you!"
"Woah mom! Maybe it's time you backed off"
"I'm sorry, sometimes I say too much. You're a good girl. I just don't want people to think I didn't raise you right"

I arrived home, took the welcome kit I'd received from the mascot and, after pondering a lot, I finally took the courage and called the man.
