I know it's been ages since I've posted, but as I'm annoyed that Story progression doesn't make Sims have children anymore, I've decided to get some Starlight Shores townies pregnant (which is handy, since I'm trying Sammy out in the Daycare career that came with Generations, and I don't want her caring for pudding face kids too early on). Currently, Sadie Mason, the Elsons and the Whitfields are all expecting, so i'll post toddler pics soon.

    Good Morning Simmers
I could not log into the Sims 3 site yesterday, I tried many times the login would come up but thats all it would do and just spin I was so frustrated I also couldn't sign in to Origin and to my account I don't know what the heck was wrong but I tried everything but thank goodness it's working now.

    Flamepointmama
I am so sorry to hear about your son, my heart goes out to you and your family. Prayers sent.

    Krim,
Thank you for cleaning our bathrooms you are always on top of things and glad you liked the omelettes. OMG the painting you did is awesome you are such a talented person, you've been busy. I love the toy store and the arts center is awesome. I think you are right about Aurora Skies and what you are doing with it is exactly what it needs. Hope you have a good time and sorry I didn't get this posted before you were leaving. Hugs and Happy Beaching. Oh and I loved your question.

Oh it's so hard to type with a Kitty getting up on your keyboard, lol.

    MelandBella
Welcome to our little section of the forum we love meeting new Simmers and look forward to hearing about you and your Simmies. Happy Simming

    Simmelina

    Happy Simming

    sammymcgoff
So glad to see you again and we are glad to have you back with us. Happy Simming

    Sindocat
Have you tried the Day Care career? That is one of my favorite careers. It is a lot of fun and thought you might want to try it. The child raising is a lot of work but as you said it's also very rewarding. Happy Simming

    Nh
How are you doing? I'm so glad to see you and my Simmer friends again. Didn't you lose your Dad too awhile back?

Went to therapy again yesterday, was a little tiring and gave me some pain but it is helping and have to go again tomorrow. Me thinks I'm going to get tired of going to therapy really quick, lol.

Well going to go for now and will try my best to be back later today.

BTW if anyone can answer Krims question a prize will be sent. Happy Simming

@ BD: Yes I did lose my Dad in July.Thats why I couldn't come here for some time. I just wasn't up to it.Am dealing with so many matters afterwards so don't get time to play as I did before.Try to keep up with your therapy. It will pay off in the end!.

@krim:I will attempt an answer. The "grumpy" trait from "Homer".

Goodness! It's all I can do with three adult Sims to keep up with one toddler! I can't imagine juggling several!

Actually, I was a nanny (or, as I prefer, a billy) for five years, and also worked in daycare during college, so I can imagine it all too well.

As expected, Maggie stepped up as soon as the guys were back to work. It didn't take long for her and little Jaime to become fast friends.

    original.jpg

Also, I think it's a pretty sure bet that he's all set for a lifetime of knowing which shape a square is. :D

Just did my first build for someone else. Wasn't sure what to do with furnishing a space that wasn't for me. I just kept it very basic. An interesting exercise in roofing, too.

The weather is refreshingly mild, here. Probably just Old Man Winter lulling us all into a false sense of security, but it's nice for the cat, who doesn't care much for snow. :3

Hope all is well with all of you.

    Good Morning Simmers
Sit back put your feet up and enjoy a cup of java, tea, hot chocolate or some juice and how's about some nice Blueberry Pancakes? Yum

Sorry I just couldn't get back yesterday my hubby and I went to get tags for the car and to redo our drivers license, tags for the car done, my hubbys license done but for me no new drivers license! I stood in this line for 1 1/2 hours I had my license from Ohio, couple of other Id's but they weren't good enough I had to have passport or my birth certificate. I was so frustrated and angry after standing in a line for that long my feeling was they should have signs posted on what you need I just didn't get it since I have a valid license from Ohio so anyways I have to make another trip and can't do that today since I have therapy and my hubby has a doctors appointment and to top it all off we got lost on our way to the place that you have to take the car for inspection but today is going to be a better day.

    Nh
I do know how you feel and how hard it is. It never goes away just gets a little easier I guess to deal with. I wasn't as close to my Dad like my Mom but the whole thing was so upsetting due to the circumstances around his death and it brought back the pain of when I lost my Mom I still miss her terribly.
As for the game I can't wait to see what Krim says because I thought it was another answer so I'm anxious to find this one out.

Can't wait to play my Simmies today and see what happens in my game. I can't believe how much fun the expansion Into the Future is and I am one of those that didn't really care that much for it but of course I pre-ordered it and I just had had so much going on that I never got to play it. Which in a way is nice since now I've got a little more time to play my Sims.

    Sindocat
Thats awesome that you were a Nanny. Must have been very rewarding but also very tiring. What is your cats name? I have a cat named Miss Priss which I made for my Sims and I also have a little Yorkie named Gizmo. I see you live in Ohio, I just moved from Ohio after living there my entire life and I do miss Ohio and my home there, course I don't miss all that snow that Ohio has gotten and the ice and cold temperatures this winter.

Going to go for now Simmers will be back later. Hugs and Happy Simming

Yes, nannying was amazing. I don't think I am meant for parenthood, but it was very, very cool to see how very young people learn and grow. :)

My cat's name is Minnaloushe, after the cat in the poem, "The Cat and the Moon". He'll be two in March or so.

I live down in the Ohio River valley, so we are south of the heavy snow line. Even so, this year has been our snowiest since 1978. Thankfully, with thaws between.

In game, to age up Jaime or not? Finally got Tamlin to career level 10, so now he just plays concerts when he feels like it. But I think Jaime has learned about all he can from his books and toys.

Highlight of my day: clean socks! (it doesn't take much. :D)

    hey ya'll!

I am back from my half-cation! I had a lot of fun and so did the other guys. Kiddo loved the beach and Hubby always gets grounded there. We also visited an old spanish Mission which was nifty. i love history, architecture and art. This had all three. :) Plus a wonderful view of the mountains and a very nice garden.
    Also ate seafood!!!

    Anyhoo!

NH, that isn't the answer, as far as i am aware there is no Homer/grumpy animation. But nice guess. This animation is rather iconic.

if no one guesses right soon i will spill the answer :)

also NH thank you very much for the compliment on my painting. :)

Hello Sammy welcome back, are you meaning Twallens Story Progression? if that isnt making sims have kids now thats a real bummer.

Hello Sindocat , I really like the glassblowing thing and having new jewelry is nice. i think having the new venue is good, adds another option for recreation for our sims. I added a kiln to my Hippie family. They have been self sufficient while i have played them, the mom has a very large garden with every plant in the game, their teens grownup kid helps out with harvesting.Mom sells whats extra or makes it into nectar. I have added cows and chickens, they have a horse and the eldest daughter has ridden her in competitions a few times, she also is a writer. The second eldest daughter (teen) is becoming an inventor. the third daughter is a kid but will be a painter and artisan. I dunno about the two toddlers yet. This is the biggest family i have ever played. It can be tough to manage such a big household but i really have fun with them. i sent the eldest to uni, she is almost done and I don't know if i want to move her out when the teen daughter ages up or not. I have one empty room left in the house. Anyway yeah what i was trying to say is i like the new venue stuff. lol

ok well im tired so im cutting this here. See ya'll later, happy simming.

    Mornin Simmers

    Sindocat
Love your Kittys name, animals are so special and bring such love into our lives I miss my wild cat that I had in Ohio. I named him Socks and I would have taken him with me when we moved but I never could get him to come into the house,he would walk in the back door but then go right back out, he did get better with being around people which was a big improvement.
I lived in a small farming community in Ohio not too far from Richmond Indiana and we were always getting storms and I guess they have gotten a ton of snow this year at which I haven't missed at all, lol.

    Krim
So glad you had such a good time, it's always good to get away. I love looking at old buildings and the history that goes along with it is always fascinating to me. BTW how are you adjusting to the move? I'm having big time second thoughts that I'm just not sure that I did the right thing and keep thinking I would like to go back to Ohio. Does that sound nuts?! Maybe it's because thats the only place I have ever lived, not sure but sometimes wish I hadn't made this move.
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to the question. It's what Homer does best, lol.

Simmelina, your pictures are so great don't know how you do it. I wish I was as efficient as you are. Ever since Photobucket changed I've had nothing but problems with picture taking. Will try and read your stories today.

    Nh
Hows everything with you? And what are you doing in your Sims game.

I got to try and post some pictures of my Simmies today but I've had nothing but problems with Photobucket especially since moving. I need a new computer but waiting until the specs come out for Sims 4. .

Got some things to do so plan on being back later, no therapy today or any appointments so today is Simming and laundry day for me, woot. Happy Simming all

    Hello, all!

Ugh. I seem to have a cold. And I haven't been troubled with one all winter. Oh, well.

All our snow has melted, and it is a beautiful, sunny day. I am so ready for Springtime.

BD5141 - Oh, you are in the same general vicinity, then. I am in Cincinnati, but a few generations back, the "old home place" as my Grandma called it, was near Richmond.

Krim, thanks for the review. I have gone ahead and gotten it. I think the building needs a bit of a make-over to really suit Dragon Valley, where I am currently playing, but I think I can plunk it down in Moonlight Falls (where most of my households live) as is.

Haven't actually tried out the glass-blowing - keeping up with a Sim child is still hogging all my attention.

I decided that having been taught to walk, speak and use the potty, and having had a good number of toddler books read to him, it was time to age up Jaime to Child. The crib is gone, and I moved him to a bed in the room above his play room, which had been the butler's bedroom above the nursery. A little MoveObjects On, a Curtain de Mish, and voilà, sails. :)

    XVRkeJc.jpg

Apparently the fire that Granny set (and extinguished with a Frost Blast) made an impression. Lots of fire-themed dream-balloons that night.

    Gooooooooood Morning Simmers
Woot today is Simming Saturday and thats all I plan on doing today, yesterday went and did the grocery shopping and ran around most of the day and then last night was playing my Sims and wouldn't you know it I forgot to save and I was on the gifting thing in game when my game locked up I even left my game running all night hoping that it would go to my profile page but oh no so it more or less froze up on me so now I have to redo the work that I had done, grrr, lol, oh well so is life in Sims.

Today I will be serving Pizza and Iced Tea. So enjoy oh and have some cheese bread to go along with that.

    sammymcgoff
First let me apologize for not saying howdy to you yesterday I had intended on doing that and didn't realize I hadn't gave you a shout until I was looking at the posts this morning. So glad to see you back with us. I went to send you a gift from your wish list but you didn't have anything, so maybe you could put some on there. Can't wait to see your pictures. I didn't know that about the story progression either. I wish EA would quit messing with stuff like that.

    Sindocat
Have you ever heard of Farmersville? It sits between Germantown and New Lebanon. Thats where I lived since getting married this move to Texas was a big move for me and even though we got lots of snow in my area I sure do miss there. Oh and I just love how you did that with the curtains in Jaimes room that is so neat I never thought of that but I'm going to do that in my next childs room. Awesome!

Waves at Krim, Nh, Simmelina and all our other Simmer pals.

Mysticdiva wanted you to know we are thinking about you and you are in my prayers for surgery this week. I know you can't wait for it to be over and you can see good again. Hugs

Going to go and walk my little dog be back later. Hugs to all

    Good Sunday Morning Simmers
Pull up a chair and sit a spell and grab your self something to drink.

    Simmelina
Nice family, great pictures. January is a stunning Sim, I've said it before your Sims are always so unique and I always enjoy your pictures. I've got to remember to use that name January I use September a lot. I think one time I did a family using the names of the month believe I will do that again. January, April, May, September,June the sad part is not sure these would work for guys name the only name I think that would work is August. Gotta do this with my next family.

I had a great Simming day yesterday, how bout the rest of ya? I got to play on and off all day. I had such a good time. I'm going to try my best later to post some pictures. Hopefully I can get them without too much hassle. Gotta walk my fur baby cya all later.

Went to therapy again today and it just wipes me out. I'm always drained afterwards and can barely walk when I leave there.

    Simmelina,
I love your story about Matlida I have read most of it and what a touching story line you have going. Quads! eeeks! Thats going to be a big job!

    Flamepointmama
Glad to see you and will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

I'm so frustrated I went to post some of my pictures of my family and my whole screenshot thing is messed up for some time now it has been putting my pictures in another location and I went to share some of my pictures and I can't find the most recent ones, which is so frustrating I need to redo my whole computer and redo my Sims but just really haven't had the time so will keep trying to get some picture. Gotta go for now Happy Simming all.

    Good evening my Simmer friends

I've had a rough day, doctor's appointment this morning and therapy this afternoon and I'm not feeling well, plus I'm depressed for some unknown reason.

I keep trying to think of a new question if anyone can answer Krims question I will send you a present.

    TadOlson
Glad to see you again but sorry you too are under the weather. This has been a bad year for flues. I seen on the news here in Texas some have died from it so take care and get to the doctors.

    Sindocat
I wanted to thank you for the gifts I so appreciate it but the thing is EA should have let you know that I own everything, it was really sweet of you though and the thought touched my heart.

Think I'll go and Sim maybe that will give my a boost.

Oh and BTW what did everyone think about the dang set in the store today? I was quite bummed about it since I own everything so I was so hoping for something new, grrrrrrr. Also very disappointed in the live Video for The Original Sims I thought for sure they were going to give us a little info on Sims 4 but Oh no! Another grrrrr! rofl Oh well so goes the life of Sims. Cya all hugs and Happy Simming

    Hello all,

sorry i disapeered for a few days. Things have been stressful, suffice to say a payroll snafu means we are in a desperate crunch for the next two weeks. Just awful timing and we are still figuring out how we are gonna get by, hoping we can sell stuff. Anyway it kept me away a bit as i wasn't feeling much like chatting on here.

Hey BD sorry you had a lousy day. I wasn't expecting any hints on TS4 since they said recently to give them more time before any new info on Sims 4.

There is a new set coming out next week BD, it has 8 harvestables! Going to have lots of fruit so looking forward to that. it seems like one set a month is all we get now.

Ok i may as well give the answer to the question, don't think anyone will get it.

The answer is The Evil trait does the "Excellent" hand ringing animation at random ala Mr. Burns.

Welcome back Tad, glad you're getting better. i was sick too this week , still coughing and feel weak in my lungs but i don't think it was flu.

Simmilina welcome back , good job keeping up with the stories.

Flamepoint, my prayers to your family.

Ok well I haven't been on my game as much last few nights. Not sure i feel up to it tonight but if i do i will probably just play and not build. Although i would like to continue my roller coaster park..i just don't remember what save file i built it in! DOH@ lol

Hello friends, thought i would pop in, i have Jerk Chicken and Macaroni (really i just ate it) for you ya'll! And i will get the coffee on.

I have some pics to tease my upcoming Community arts Center lot. This has been a very fun lot to come together, It's going to be a lot of fun for simmies. There is a ton to do and I imagine it as a very busy community.

so how has everyone been, how was the weekend? did everyone get sims in? I did of course since i was building that lot lol. I also played in Auror Skies with my sims there. it is a grandmother with her teen grandaughter and the grand daughters girlfriend. They have lived together two yrs since both kids parents died toegther in a car crash on the way to a party together. the grandaughter is very gothy and the other is a naturey bright cheerful girl. I love playing these two. The grandmother is kind of a hippie too as well as running a day care out of her small home. They don't havwe much money right now. Which they need to save up to send the girls to uni. lol i know i get caught up in these things.

    here's pics.

Rahne Baunstchite is the Granny, she's no chicken! Very handy and very athletic, definetly wears her age well.

    Screenshot-234.jpg

her place is small but she keeps things on hand for the little ones. I think the toddlers in the toy boxes are so adorable.

The girls help out with the kids after they get home.
