Okay, so deleting most of the DC Cache file was a bad idea. I just spent the last 2 hours reinstalling most of it. :x No time to play, and apart from installing my store worlds twice by accident (they weren't showing up in the launcher) I think we're cooking with gas, although I don't know if I'll have time to play tomorrow. The store content was all there, but it all needed to be reinstalled. Piece by piece, by piece... :shock:
And time for bed, as I have kept the furball waiting long enough. If I spend too much time on the computer, he deliberately starts attacking the blinds, clawing the furniture, knocking things on the floor...then looking over at me as if to say "Are you paying attention to me yet?"

@krimsonnox, Thanks for the welcome back as I'm not sure how often I would do a regular posting though! I wasn't here to notice how much the regular simmers who post in this thread not been around. That's fine if you needed to get an okay from BD5141 & I didn't notice about her father passed away. I do want to send my condolence to her family.
Well I went silent for awhile cuz i didn't think i had much to say , or i was in a funk or something. lol
I went ahead and bought RH's and the boardwalk and also got the russia set for my birthday, so i have been setting up RH some with new venues or just editing the pre existing ones. They did a great job with the venues along the little strip of beach. It was very easy to add in the bistro stuff to the bars and that one restaurant looking building.
I am playing Fred Astair and Judy Rogers. I was always enamored with Ginger Rogers as a kid. I did tap too so watching her and Fred was great.
In other news I have been at the painting again. No pics yet i haven't finished the peice but I did some very colorful mountains that are OK. I love painting so much i am not even simming as much. Though i wish i had an easel that was like the one from Uni , in real life. I like having the back board instead of just a wooden frame.
So this last week has had some interesting news,I can't really share it on here, but it's a whole situation that could be a big life changer, only it's out of our control and we just have to wait , probably 6 months or so. So think good thoughts that it's all positive news.
Simmielina, i enjoyed your last update, i need to check if you have posted more.
I'm thinking positive vibes for you, krimson, although I hope it doesn't involve have to pull up stakes and move again. That would be a tremendous hassle!
No news here. I haven't been Simming much, since I've been running around a lot with friends, but hoping to get to it later today. I got some of the stuff back in the game, but things which used to be outerwear no longer are (those nice 1920s coats!) So I'm a bit bummed, since I counted on that for the new game. On the plus side, Baron & Jade are officially married off and ready to move to Roaring Heights (I keep thinking of it as River Heights, a la Nancy Drew!)

I have been playing in roaring heights and getting the town up to snuff. I am armed with venues from the forum creators that are wonderful. Please do look at the world sharing thread in WORLDS forum , and in the store is a roller coaster thread. Amazing lots!
I have not had the patience to try a coaster build but i enjoy others.
I haven't been building as much because i have been enjoying restyling sims in all my games. But i made a great seafood restaurant i need to upload (also that toy store)(and the french quarter cafe). I have however been doing a lot of decorating of the empty buildings or meh buildings in various worlds. It has kept me pretty entertained.
I need to start taking pictures and post a big pic post. Or maybe start a new thread just for a bunch of decorating pics in Creative Corner...what do you think?

However we arn't going to be moving which is great! I actually really like it here, so does my son. Hubby mostly does but his schedule makes it a lonely place, nothing to do at the wee hours. Also the actual apartment is small, hot and breaking apart. So we are staying in this place really only for the incredible school. Wish we could afford a better place in the same area but the price jumps quite a bit.
Von you will love having your sims in Roaring Heights, after you add some venues especially. You don't even have to add new ones if you don't want because there are several "intended" venues that just need some decor and updating to be shops and restaurants. I am glad i haven't updated id the outerwear was broken!!! There is so few as it is.
Ok well to wrap it up I need to run off. wake the hubby and figure out some food stuff. I have food to cook but im so tired by 9 and he only has an hour to get ready and leave so i can't really dig in and make something that will take to long. So maybe tuna sandwich or something. '

Wow, it's really been 4 weeks since I dropped in here :?: :shock: I knew it'd been too long, 'cuz I couldn't remember when it was.
I've finally got my planner & files updated. Just last week, too, :hunf: but after all, it was a years worth of stuff, not only my own. My shredder is going to be mad for days. Every year, about twice, I ditch the dainty-work & grind it like a peppermill.
I do kind of get off on being able to take a stack of nicely piled papers & start feeding them in steadily, so it whirs like a sewing machine at high speed. It's the same kind of joy I get from popping bubble wrap. Pure kid stuff.
Anyway, on a very up note, I've gotten back into simming. Spent the whole day today doing so -off & on-. Awesome. I semi-simmed for about a week, getting called off for something every time I sat down for ten minutes. :? Atm, I'm totally thrilled & totally exhausted, & off to bed as soon as I post this, I think.
(Okay, maybe I'll steal into the kitchen & sneak a few spoons of Ben & Jerry's, but if you didn't see me, it didn't happen. )
I'll post pics next time.

I know what you mean about having an easel that supports your paintings. I am that girl who gets into the zone, work slipping slightly with each move, & suddenly it falls right between the a-frame supports & hits the floor, banging the leg on the way. :roll: Used to happen with drawings, but I learned real fast with the 1st painting.

I haven't been here for a while since my TS3 computer broke down and went for repairs and I've got it back and had to fix my games and I've got Winfield fixed and was checking on Portland and still have to make sure Gibsons is fine.
Hello to all my Simmer Pals, sorry it's been so long between the move, packing, unpacking and Christmas and my Father passing just so many other things I just haven't had any time but will be back to normal now or I should say I hope so. I do have to go and see and Orthopedic Monday because I fell twice a day apart when moving in and I guess from being on my leg so much I went into excrutiating pain for quite some time but now the pain is better but still having problems the doctor said I have a torn cartilage. So hopefully I'll just need some therapy. He did say that sometimes they can heal on their own so fingers crossed.
As you all know I am now a Texan and I do love it here but miss my home in Ohio lived in Ohio all my life.
What do you all think of Sims 4? I'm on the fence about it since every thing at EA is so sketchy right now and I haven't seen any other age groups which worries me.

I have been playing in MH and i added the new venue, it looks great and it was easy to edit it and add a oven for a cafe, the ambitions craft stuff, and just did some basic decorating. I have yet to make anything with the glass blowing/smelting. Will soon, i got caught up decorating! lol

I have started sims up twice today and lost some progress due to crashing. I didn't lose total progress but enough to be irritating. I am considering updating but not sure. Any one using the updated Twallen mods>?

Hiya GBA, haven't seen you for a bit. I haven't just started over completely in awhile but sometimes its the best thing when your games given you too much trouble. I couldn't play with out the EP's though. Maybe without this last one (ITF). I don't feel like that adds too much into my game.

On a down-ish note, it seems like there's been a whole lotta shakin' goin' on @SimsHeadquarters.
Also via SimsVIP, Ea has pushed TS4 out of the projections for the 2014 fiscal year That's intense. I wonder what the new timeline will be. It's sounding very flexible, atm.
