There is a way to get Sims 3 running on Linux, Google it. Its not supported by EA though. I dont know much about Linux but I think theres a program you run that lets you run games; they have a list that is getting larger by the day. I remember reading they had Crysis 2 running at 135 fps.
I'm lucky to have been able to build a PC my self, so it is rather powerful. I can play in 1920x1080 (HD) with all graphics settings at maximum, so images come out really well.
If there is usual game sound but only karaoke doesn't work then its not likely to be your sound drivers; update to the latest patch. In regards to getting the game to run smoother; update graphics drivers, remove unnecessary CC, any mods that you use will need to be replaced with the correct ones for you patch version.…
Its sounds a lot like CC is doing this. Try moving your CC folder out of the Sims directory and then try it again. It could be a config mod like Nraas stuff. If you use Nraas or Anach mods (or any config mods for that matter) make sure you have the ones that work for the latest patch you have installed. Let me know what…
Yeah its great and its easier to use now too. Theres an add-on for it that allows you to get NPCs and townies to pose as well which is great for photography Sims.
They're from the tall fence that came with Late Night. I think its called "Light Me Up" fence. Its just so happened that they were the right height to place ceiling tiles on to them. Maybe you could do one of your own then post it on here. Happy Simming. :)
