@SiliClone mhm, definitely tried that. it was also in a newly built home though - the sims didn't really have time to build a preference. i would queue up the load dishwasher action and they would just take their dishes to the sink regardless. in other households, they would use the dishwasher as normal. it's just…
I would like some sort of seasons/vacation EP because I think seasons would look amazing in the new engine and the new style of game. As for another EP... I'm not really picky. It would be nice to get some sort of Town Life addition with maybe cars. I have missed cars.
Oh I mean, I've tried that. I searched the forums/fansites for solutions before I made a thread :) But it isn't as if routing hasn't been an issue from the get go. It's just the little things that bum me out about a game I truly do love.
Yeah. They come by and clean, in a uniform and all, in a working game at least. I've seen them a handful of times. And it seems that, even when I get the 40 charge while away, the house isn't cleaned anyway. It's just an annoyance.
I miss the acne so much it was just adorable! Even sims 3 lost so many interactions for younger lifestates in favor of the open world. And while not having an open doesn't bother me in 4 (it didn't bother me in 2 so why would it now), you'd think some of that time and effort would go toward other things hah.
@JaciJade I wasn't being unsupportive at all. I genuinely wanted and was searching for differing opinions and thoughts, and have received them tenfold and enjoyed reading. I think we should get what we want and it was a very unwise choice to not add the lifestate when two previous games had them from the get go - but I was…
I can't comment on the scientist, since I have the no mail glitch and can't play that career yet, but the doctor goals have been fun. I do think the detective goals are just repetitive. It's the same thing day in and day out but I mean... what more can you expect from a cop career I guess.
I'm really liking hearing everyone's take on toddlers. I do hope we get them eventually; I was just wondering why they seemed like some breaking point for so many simmer.
I really like this reply, because I agree. I don't hate toddlers - I was just never personally interested in them. But if EA could do something actually different with the life stage that made me want to play them through and not just age them up, then that would be amazing. It would mean EA has actually changed something…
If anything, the darn eggs is an incentive to NOT play imo. I'm so annoyed by them and given that I've got the no mail glitch I haven't even gotten the reward.
I turn on testingcheats, personally, to help with moods and fulfilling needs. Also you've got to have it on for things like scaling objects and so forth. It's just a personal preference. Some games I play completely vanilla, and others, like the sims, I want the option to enjoy it and have it feel relaxing :)
I paused my game randomly to enter a cheat and accidentally hit C first so I caught this screenshot of my current sim and I think it's adorable. So for real, she isn't a model - the camera just went off ;)
My sims get promoted about once a week. But I do agree that it seems to take longer. And, at least in my experience, it's very easy to lose job performance.
I didn't know until last night that there's an actual animation for the smoke coming from chimneys when the fireplace is being used. I was so confused why there was a random bit of smoke on the lot until I zoomed out lol.
I'm just annoyed with, being a low level in the career, not being able to transfer the patients to a doctor because he leaves ten minutes after my sim arrives. It's really hindering the ability to level up.
So if you have two sims who are doctors (or any other active career), does the other sim just work as regular with minimum job effect toward promotion? And the one you have as the active sim will be able to advance faster? Is that what's going to happen?
I loved babysitters/nannies - it just made the game more realistic. But then again, children staying home alone is just as realistic. I stayed home after school/during the summer while my parents worked as young as 10. The minute I could make easy mac my mom decided it was okay lol.
Yeah, as nice as it sounds in theory, it just seems expensive. Especially when new careers, active or inactive, could easily be added in EPs we're already paying 30 bucks for.
