  • Basements are necessary to make more use out of small lots, but garages are just a waste of space since we don't have cars in the game yet, and you have to rely on the debug options to even have a car that will fit.
  • Another thing to consider is that OneDrive is really bad to re-add deleted mods, or those that are outdated; thus making a mess out of everything.
  • Becuase having a hobby is expensive. I got into model trains shortly as a teenager. There's a reason all the other guys I knew who did it were railroad retirees with good railroad pensions.
  • I have often said the game needs a bit more realism. However, this is a step a bit too far in my opinion.
  • I say they'll keep it going to either 2024 (10th anniversary of TS4) or 2025 (20th anniversary of the whole franchise).
  • Includes a new world--so yes. Will likely mess around with the werewolves a bit, as it seems like a waste to buy the pack and not do so.
  • In my opinion, if we get an Outdoor Retreat refresh--Bigfoot is a necessity (as are bears that are animals, not costumes for Sims).
  • Make it easier to turn off the storyline/infected Sims, and make it super-easy to rebuild the lab into whatever I want.
  • I was in my early teens when I found Sim City 4 at a local store. Officially, it was the first "Sims" franchise game I played, and that was around 2008-9 or so.
  • I look at it this way--they had to pay someone to do this. Yet, I'm sure most of us who keep the premades at least tinker with them in some way. Thus, in my opinion, a lot of limited resources and budget went to it when it should've gone to working on something bigger--i.e. horses, open worlds, cars.
  • Magnolia Promenade. Not really big enough, so Newcrest tends to be the business district.
  • Given there's news they're collaborating with a modder is knonw for his open world mod, maybe they're perhaps working on it?
  • Wasn't this the guy who did the open world mod?

  • I wonder if it can be upgraded to a new engine without a new game? Originally, I didn't even know it was possible. However, in recent months, I know of 2-3 "indie" games I have that changed to heavily overhauled, updated, or sometimes entirely new engines. Of course, these were all "early access" and some are as old as…
  • Yes and no. For what it would cost to remake ALL the animations, a lot could be done with the game. That's the sole reason I'm against it. I'm all for it if they're able to do it, however. I hate not being able to replicate heights accurately. I'm 5'6 myself. A friend of mine is like 4'10" and one of the equestrian…
  • I would say so. I have a HUGE problem with parents who let kids play games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Grand Theft Auto. There's a reason they are all rated "M". I have long believed that part of the reason a lot of kids are so screwed up these days is parents who ignore the ratings on the games; and kids for…
  • It's part of the reason I like Rey so well. Her British accent sets her apart from all other Sims. However, they never really completed her dialog, so half the time, she's mute.
  • Art style--love it. Multiplayer, not so much. However, if there would ever be a single-player option, I'd consider it.
  • Needs to be a balance. TS3's style is odd partly due to 2009-era graphics capabilities. Early concept art for TS4 showed Sims that were stylized, yet realistic. That being said, where we're at now I was originally quite critical of it, but it's quite fine.

  • Bought TS3 in 2018. Didn't play it much, as the game was pretty intensive on a mid-end consumer PC. Wasn't until I got a PC that could properly run it in 2021 that I actually played it much. I have about a half-dozen packs. It's a lot easier to get lost in TS3 for me, even with worse graphics, as there is a LONG list of…
  • TS3 doesn't need a whole lot of mods, just things like NRass to keep it running smoothly. Besides, even on an entry-level gaming PC with a separate and decent Nvidia graphics card, TS3 struggles (in fact, this is the first PC I've had that can run it with a half-dozen packs well). Thus, I try to keep mods to a minimum, and…
  • It's been suggested here before that TS5 be built on an existing engine instead of a proprietary one, and UE5 has been suggested a lot, including by me. I hope that some form of the Metahuman Creator gets built into what becomes the new CAS.
  • I recently cancelled several Patreon subscriptions, as along with various apps I used, I noticed that I was just throwing money away like crazy. That $3-5 here and there added up to almost $100. This reeks of the same flavor. However, if SDX content, without paying extra, I wouldn't mind.
  • I have mixed feelings towards them. They fit in pretty weird. In many instances, they have features that are more than what comes in updates and SDX content. On the other hand, I don't feel they really have enough to offer. Especially given most focus on Build/Buy or CAS. I think, however, if more were made focusing on…
  • I made the point that I prefer actual packs as opposed to kits. I feel that most effort towards new content has gone to kits than actual packs. For $5, there just isn't enough there.
  • TS2 got it right with so much--Sim personalities, detailed animations, cars, open neighborhoods (worlds are a little hardware intensive in my mind). TS4 has a good UI and well, easy rotational play. CAS is not a nightmare. ] I think that after ten years, a LOT needs to be changed. However, I feel the core of the game…
  • I wonder if this could mean a new game is coming? Doesn't really make that much sense when TS4 is their only current PC title, along with the mobile spinoffs.
  • Here's the funniest one so far--Catarina Lynx adopted ANOTHER cat!!!
